    I’ll never forget the privilege of watching Phillies baseball from 08-12’. Those teams were chock full of unbelievable talent and fundamental beauty.

      Started before 08. How about the comeback and Jimmy’s mvp 07 season?The huge pick up of Jim Thome in 03? Ryan Howard’s rookie season and mvp seasons of 05 and 06?

    when Cliff was on, there was no getting past him. I think there was a game where he beat the snot out of the Marlins all by himself

    He is, and always will be my favorite phillies pitcher. This man was a demon on the mound and he made it look too easy. the fact that we didnt get this man a world series ring will haunt me till my dying day lol.

    HOF worthy, for sure, IMO. Man do I ever miss watching him pitch, and hit. What a cool guy too.

  • @neroresurrected
    @neroresurrected 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Now this man is the one the best lefty pitchers of his generation and his command was other worldly an absolute stud of a pitcher. When this guy was on he absolutely dominated a lineup from start to finish. The ace of aces here.

    What a great rotation the Phillies had in the successful years. Special to watch Cliff Lee cruise through the opponent's lineup. Great choice of music too!

  • @oldcountry3821
    @oldcountry3821 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Lots of great video clips, but the music distracts from the commentary. And to truly be a Career Highlights / Tribute video, it would have to capture Cliff Lee's feared hitting prowess.....his dramatic home runs and extra-base hits. Thanks for posting, though, as Cliff indeed was a machine. It's great to see the looks on the faces of these prominent hitters as they walk back to their dugouts after striking out multiple times in a game.

    Cliff’s windup and pitching mechanics are as beautiful as Griffey Jr’s homerun swing

    No one can deal with the 92 mph fastball inside followed by the 74 mph curveball that hangs in the air forever and just drops in. He's a surgeon.

    I really enjoyed- this...maybe because Cliff is my cousin.
    Steve Lee is Cliff's dad and a great athlete as was Steve's brother Eddie-
    Eddie got paralyzed in a swimming accident...very-very sad, and a lot of folks claimed Eddie had more talent than all of them.
    I had talent but my clueless Little league coaches pitched me every chance they got and I "threw my arm out" or so I am told. Maybe I just didn't work hard enough.
    Anyway-thanks again

    My absolute favorite player of all time( lifelong Phillies fan here) I was lucky enough to watch the careers of Mike Schmidt, Ryan Howard, Curt Schilling, J Roll , Chase Utley ,Doc Halladay r.i.p. and many other all time greats, but Cliff Lee at his peak was like watching the greatest of all time. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. He was/is my favorite baseball player of all time eventually I’ll tell my grandchildren when they’re born about him that’s how dominant he was.

      I still hate Ruben Amaro Jr for trading him away from my Phils for a hot pile of freaking trash. If Cole Hamels could’ve pitched like he was capable of in the 2009 ws we would have destroyed the yankees. I’m still pissed off about that in 2024.

    Kinda wondering why a Cliff Lee video begins with Jake Arietta. Also LOSE the stupid Stones music. Ruins the whole thing. Also HOW do you compile a Cliff Lee highlight video with no hitting or base-stealing? I guarantee you CL would have it in there.
