Nice job, figure first issued with Monogram's F-86 in 1976.
So it's nearly as old as me... 😂
Thank you, I recently ordered a HK Models 1/48 B-17 and 8 wanted to give her a crew
Thanks for watching :-)
Thank you for sharing, I learned more about painting a figure
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching.
Excellent video, mate. I'm just about to start on 11 figures for a Vietnam themed diorama I'm doing. This'll make it a lot easier. Cheers.
Best of luck with it. Personally, painting figures is my least favourite thing, especially when they need to look realistic. Fantasy I'm OK with, but I need more practice on realistic ones.
Very nice video! Thank you very much for your tips! Thumbs up! 👍
Glad to be of help. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this
Thanks for watching :-)
Nice work
Thanks. Painting figures is definitely not my best area but I'm pleased with how this came out.
...i can see the pilot is in the classic "i'm a little teapot" stance
The only teapot around here is you, bear... ;-)
Nice video. You have a very similar technique to me when I paint in acrylic. Is this figure a current release or older. I'm thinking it's quite old as it looks very familiar to me. Looks like a figure out of one of Shep Paine's books from years ago. Anyway really enjoyed seeing you bring this dude to life.
The model is dated 1998, so the figure is at least that old.
Thanks for your comments, and for watching. I appreciate it.
The figure is from the 1976 Monogram F-86 kit. It was shown in Paine's book on dioramas.
Hi geezer, great video, did you need to primer figure before starting ? Cheers.
No, I very rarely use primer - I find 99% of the time it's not necessary. Thanks for watching.
What brand magnifier do you use? My eyes aren’t that good either, and I’m struggling with 1/35 scale men. 😀
I have a very nice adjustable magnifier with lights and such, and I never use it. I use cheap +3.50 reading glasses from the Pound Shop ;-)
They're lighter, let you get closer and are cheaper to replace if they get broken.
what citadel green is that? there seems to be many different shades or doesn't it matter? Great vid BTW.
It's part of a really old set I bought maybe 25 years ago - a boxed set of glazes. It's literally just called "green".
Thanks for watching.
