Hi Darlene- This is Jenny form the Missouri Star Quilt Company, and I love these crumb videos!! You do a great job and I love the no waste!! If you are ever in Hamilton, come see me.
A comment from Jenny Doan!!! I think I must have hit the jackpot today! LOL So happy you like my crumb blocks. And for sure if I'm ever in your territory, I will stop by. And stay way too long. LOL I watch you every week. I have not missed a video since I found you maybe 2 years ago and also watch your older vids too. Love your channel so much!
Darlene, I have watching your videos on crumbs. Your so amazing and awesome. Love and enjoying your videos so so much! I had never seen this technique before I have been sewing since 8 years old. Both of my grandmother sewed but one did alot of quilting. I remember seeing little patch work. But never learned from her because she lived to far. Thank you so much for sharing your videos. I will follow you so I can learn more. I don't understand why people doesn't understand your Technique. It is so easy. Not difficult at all. But thank you again for sharing your video. God bless you and all the heart work you put in and showing us your techniques. Love you! , Maria from San Angelo, TX,
I'm making a quilt at the moment, it's very intense and accurate and have been working on it for months. your vlog has inspired me to go use up all my scraps that I've been saving. the hints and tips you give are so helpful and your style of piecing so freeing that i feel inspired to just do it. thank you Darlene for the inspiration and the know how,you are an inspiration xx
I love this crumb quilting. I am going to use this method to make some pillows for Christmas gifts. I think this would make a wonderful lap quilt for someone in a wheel chair. They would have a lot to look at especially if they are in an nursing home. I love all of your videos.
I realized that most of my scraps are fabrics I don't like - never liked, but ended up with, anyway. Using these tiny pieces to make blocks gives them all a completely new look! Now they are pretty!
Any seam allowance I feel like using. If I'm sewing on something narrow and I want to keep as much of it showing, I'll use as tiny of a seam allowance as I can. Other times I decide that I want to hide some of the fabric and I'll sew a great big seam allowance and trim it. There are no rules. Do whatever works for that particular piece.
Should have explained what a crumb quilt is in the beginning , drove me nuts trying to figure out what was happening.Otherwise, I Love it and started one of my own

Darlene would you consider doing a wonky sampler quilt?
Hi Darlene..what seam allowance do you use for your crumb quilt pieces?
Any seam allowance I feel like using. If I'm sewing on something narrow and I want to keep as much of it showing, I'll use as tiny of a seam allowance as I can. Love it
