Something I've noticed is if you take a lot of shots with Ana or a lot of scoped shots with Ashe, there's some weird bugs. Like double firing. That's probably what you hear with the Ana shooting is a bug
Ive noticed it too when i played ana. Definitely some double shots. Also issues hitting sleep dart as well. Like it registered as being shot and they are directly in the line of fire but nothing happens. Othertimes i miss the shot but then they go to sleep.
The easiest way to distinguish between a smurf and someone who is accidentally in the wrong rank is by analyzing how much respect they have for the enemy. Smurfs have no respect for the enemy. They assume that they are unkillable so they take unfavorable duels, over-peek, and willingly position poorly to dish out some extra damage. People in the wrong rank will start the game with respect for the enemy. This means they will play cover, retreat when shot, and only take favorable duels. They might play extra aggressive after they dominate for a while, so their play-style shifts over time. That Anna was in the back line from the very start. That initial high ground is good positioning; I often see aggressive players play there in GM, but any player with respect for the enemy would retreat off of it after that first team fight was lost. That Anna did not care that see was isolated. She very clearly had the mindset: “I can play here because they aren’t good enough to kill me”. This just radiates smurf vibes.
Also respect for their team. Smurfs never play for their team they play for them selves to gloat how good they are over "bronze dogs" (actuall quote). The lower you are the more often you are come across them.
As a Gold support, that Ana is way better than me. At least Diamond but could be even higher. I think the sleep darts on the floor are just them memeing.
Agreeing with the person above me here, definitely don’t compare yourself to this ana in the video as they’re not being pressured at all, no one is going after her so she has free reign to do as she pleases; that’s just how it is in a bronze lobby and she’s definitely smurfing. You probably play just fine :)
Or maybe, just maybe, this Ana is setting new standards of what a bronze player is capable of when they really set their mind to it. The species is evolving. My bronze brethren, I underestimated many of you, including this Ana, who are raising the bar for bronze!
Just a tip for this player or anyone: on kiriko, in the settings, you can turn OFF the option to expend all of your heal tickets in one go. its better to have that off because you can control/cancel the animation sooner, but with it on you are fully animation locked until it chucks all the tickets
Thats incorrect. The setting you’re talking about is holding your right click to throw out your ofudas, with this on when you take your finger off the right click while in the animation of sending out your ofudas, it only sends out the amount of ofudas relative to how long you held the right click. Without this setting you can still control how many ofudas you send out by clicking right click again to cancel the animation. I personally prefer to play without the hold because in a way it helps me achieve more dmg on kiriko since I spend less time looking at my teammates after sending out my ofudas.
I’ve only recently started watching emongg’s videos, but it took me way too long to realize the opera music was a guy singing they could have touched the point lmfao amazing
Can confirm that there's a lot of weird reasons that ana could be in this game. Back in OW1, I rarely played tank (I much preferred high-mobility play), so when I started playing again a little, I just about fell to silver. But on a whim, I decided to give it a more proper shake and pick up Ball, and for some reason, his movement just kinda clicked with me all of a sudden, and I started getting like a 70% winrate until I reached like mid-plat. So point is, sometimes shit's weird and you get ppl in weird spots on the ladder where they shouldn't be for a while even if they never intended it.

It also takes FOREVER to rank out of bronze 5. So if they got a lot better on another role then started playing support again, it takes a lot of games to climb out. Their aim and positioning is way better than bronze, that’s for sure.
Fr though. Ill be the first to say i probably deserve bronze, but ive not had a negative card this season, a 5-3 a 5-2 and a 5-0 and am still in bronze 5. Went from "above 71%" to "above 92%" The ammount of work it takes to upset your mmr in low rank seems insane.
@@ghostwalker435 particularly in bronze 5, as it encompasses a huge range compared to every other rank. Every other tier is 100 MMR, I want to say if you go 5 wins and 2 losses you end up going up to the next rank after three sets or so. But bronze 5 is any MMR between 0-1100, so if you started really low you gotta go through weeks worth of games before you finally get out. My friend and I spent an entire season with close to a 90% win rate, and by the end he FINALLY went to rank 4 bronze. (And I was down to only being able to play support with him, due to my other roles being too high, despite only playing with him)
@@YoungClarke Bronze 5 definitely needs to be subdivided into more ranks. Maybe next season's comp changes will address that. It's probably just Awkward making another unranked to GM going "They should be happy they're playing against me because of how much better I am. Metal rank players don't deserve to enjoy the game"
For real. I won most of my games going through placement and its like hey bronze, you won some more, still bronze. Wait you won even more? Bronze...only on support did it finally place me in gold by game 9 in season 9. Tank and dps it stuck in bronze even though i won 6+ of my games. Open queue got silver for 6+. The placement makes no sense at all.
It makes no sense. 😂. Ive had players from bronze 5 to seeing plat, diamond and master in my games(they were kind enough to put *title* challenger on their profile). Often it feels they are smurfing but sometimes they are really bad as well. Either way reported for being in such a low game and potentially smurfing. Dont need that nonsense lol
I think the biggest issue for anyone who's stuck is consistancy, i mean sometimes i am a god and hit almost every shots every sleep and the game just after i get rolled and can't hit a standing target 😅
Also being stuck with the mixed bag on a solo queue often can be pretty rough especially on support. 😂 maybe get a good tank but then one or both dps on side missions picking flowers by spawn or okay dps but the tank only knows W. Sometimes you get a lucio who doesn't know they can swap to healing with the touch of a button or an ana who doesnt shoot their teammates, just the enemy and hits a quarter of the time any shots. 😂
I was a plat healer right about to hit the next rank but I got stuck with the worst teams ever for literally 2 weeks and it made me flunk down to silver…at some point I was questioning if I was the problem but my stats were higher than every healer so I’m just winning and mostly losing games now these days..
I hear that. Ive dropped from gold to silver due to inconsistent matchmsking. Ive played well and worked on anything i can do better but seems its just loss loss loss. Even if i do win or having, god forbid, a win streak of two games or the very rare three i get maybe 7 to 16% in season 9 for moving up but each loss hands me between 20 to 30% loss percentage so back down it goes. I had one game that didnt feel any harder or easier and when we lost(4 3 barely in ot) i got hit with a whopping 43% loss. I dropped nearly half a rank in one go. Duno how one is supposed to out grind that kind of bs 😂
I hate smurfs, they are not good enough to play where they belong so they bully casual players for whatever reason, ego boost, ect. Its just as bad as cheating because its unfair advantage.
The ana is probably masters, but when you're playing in bronze 5 you don't play your best, you can see when they really try to survive their movement is good though
I'm Masters 1 Ana and I just don't believe this person is any higher than mid-high plat or at the most, low diamond. Wish we could find out the rank for sure.
I get called a Smurf a lot because I have 900 hours of quick play. I only have 200 hours of comp and that was from season 1 to 8 on OverWatch 1... Needless to say I wasn't as good back then. Eventually got to Masters but then didn't play for almost 20 seasons and got de-ranked to bronze and really didn't play comp since. I decided I'm going to play comp again in season 9. It's just frustrating because I'm not smurfing but I just have a lot of hours in. Because normally I'm in decent qp with a lot higher level players but when I play with some friends who are fairly new, I get stuck in low level lobbies and I spend more time teaching.
Agreed. I have gotten plat, diamond, m and gm in my games. Usually on the other team yet myself and my friends and mainly are playing between bronze and gold depending on the roles. My favorite is when they get purposely ganged on so they leave or play poorly or their own team abandons them or throws the game since they often do their own thing and ignore their team in every way. Once in a while they do good but then its like yeah you did...smurfing. enjoy the report lol.
i dont think theyre INTENTIONALLY smurfing, honestly i could see a world where theyre placed in high bronze, just because of going on a loss streak or just not preforming well in comp games, their aim is pretty alright, and the positioning is good [p easy on ana though, just go on high ground], but once they hit the ground they get rolled not all maps have good high ground, or any high ground for that matter, so i think on those kinds of maps, they werent able to play well and that put them in low rank. im silver and this looks pretty similar to the anas im put with/against the 63 elims is crazy though
Never pulled a 60+ but i can say could be someone who, like me played comp as soon as they unlocked it, realized it wasnt fun and went back to qp for a few seasons. I did, got bronze 5 played my 5 wins a season to get a few extra gold gun points and then noped out. Finally got more serious with the Sombra rework, im 15-5 this season, pulling 25-40 elims per match and my placement in bronze 5 has gone up 20%
@@ghostwalker435quite the same with me, played placements and got plat 1, played 3 more games and lost, stopped and went 300hrs into Qp. Now i play qp with some friends who are gm/masters and still hold my ground (sometimes i get rolled pretty bad too) but hey, playing phara against a bap who focuses me + a cass and still being able to go 17-4 has some merit imo
Idk why, but I've been getting way more high rank players in my bronze matches. Like it's not even individuals smurfing, it's the matchmaker putting gold-diamonds in my game. I wish I knew just how often it was happening, but 99.99% of players seem to have a locked/private profile.
if the Ana qued together with a friend, i think you can que with people that are within 1000 sr (when there was SR, I am assuming the number still exists, we just can't see it). Is bronze 500 and below?

Fr though. Ill be the first to say i probably deserve bronze, but ive not had a negative card this season, a 5-3 a 5-2 and a 5-0 and am still in bronze 5. Went from "above 71%" to "above 92%"
The ammount of work it takes to upset your mmr in low rank seems insane.
It's quite crazy how your rank decays for doing nothing but then you gotta grind hard to recover it. I started last year in Bronze 1 and because I didn't play much in seasons 2-3, the rank decay dropped me to bronze 5.
@@YoungClarkeif i ever was in your position, i would just switch to a new account and play my placement. Just give up on the bronze account at that point bro
@@ccricersi forgot that decay was a thing, i only play my placements bc i just hate rankeds, i always end up Plat 1-2 on all roles and then give up on ranking up bc i have 0 patience
It's probably just Awkward making another unranked to GM going "They should be happy they're playing against me because of how much better I am. Metal rank players don't deserve to enjoy the game"
emongg and flats not making smurfing their content is why I like them so much more than most
I know you’re probably kidding but I don’t believe Awkward has ever had that stance against metal rank players.
If your harstuck it's your fault
The enemy team:
To much healing to be Awkward. Do damage. Look for damage. Find spots to do damage. I love Awkward tho.
@@luisriverax I think rn on twitter he has a negative stance against Metal rank players
Slomo with C9 song was epic
I love the intro with the green screen
I believe the ranking system starts at unranked-silver 1, once out of unranked it's bronze-gold 3
When I was gold1, I once got a match range from bronze 5 to gold 1.
Doesn't matter the rank gap you can always lose in a duel against a kiriko
That ana said "fuck bronze hell im dipping" LMAOO
that Ana is in bronze cause they think they have to carry their team. Too busy playing TDM. So satisfying Ana lost that match
Bronze just looks like "competitive quick play" lol
It legit just looks like all the qp matches I've ever had but with comp rules
The majestic montage happened here, beautiful 💜
LMAO THE SLOW MO AND MUSIC WHEN THEY GOT OFF CART I CAN'T
2:24 that kiriko just healing the tank 😭
nana being a sniper it means that is a dangerous treat for having a lot of healing and damage at any distance, this is why sniper
I loved how Emong ran into the video as the intro genuinely such a good bit😂
Ana uncontested, Team still lets the cart get pushed all the way! lol
anyone knowing that highground exist isn't a bronze
I hate smurfs, they are not good enough to play where they belong so they bully casual players for whatever reason, ego boost, ect. Its just as bad as cheating because its unfair advantage.
Agreed. I report when i see. More often than not, i get the thank you message.
Found an auto aim ana in beetle bash.
There were times it was turned up so high her sleep darts curved
The ana is probably masters, but when you're playing in bronze 5 you don't play your best, you can see when they really try to survive their movement is good though
I'm Masters 1 Ana and I just don't believe this person is any higher than mid-high plat or at the most, low diamond. Wish we could find out the rank for sure.
I'm a silver-plat ana, I totally agree, they missed a lot of sleeps though which even I do more consistently
M2 Ana here her aim is definitely better than mine 🥹 guess I just got lucky to get to masters
awkward's unranked to gm be like
I get called a Smurf a lot because I have 900 hours of quick play.
Im in bronze/silver and sometimes we que with diamond or even masters- no idea if its the matchmaking going crazy or smth but it happens a lot
Those Ana flicks are super weird to me, I'd guess high diamond and above. Either way for them to be in a bronze 5 game it's probably a bought account.
It looks like the Ana discovered Awkward
i dont think theyre INTENTIONALLY smurfing, honestly i could see a world where theyre placed in high bronze, just because of going on a loss streak or just not preforming well in comp games, their aim is pretty alright, and the positioning is good [p easy on ana though, just go on high ground], but once they hit the ground they get rolled
not all maps have good high ground, or any high ground for that matter, so i think on those kinds of maps, they werent able to play well and that put them in low rank. im silver and this looks pretty similar to the anas im put with/against
the 63 elims is crazy though
Best C9 no touch song I’ve seen
I couldn’t understand the words of that opera until the second time an I laughed so hard
That Dva threw for the poor Ana team….can’t do anything about a brain dead meat shield 😂😂
Bronze 5 stays being a confusing anomaly
Idk why, but I've been getting way more high rank players in my bronze matches. Like it's not even individuals smurfing, it's the matchmaker putting gold-diamonds in my game.
I wish I knew just how often it was happening, but 99.99% of players seem to have a locked/private profile.
Agreed. Ive seen everything from gold to master and even gm in my bronze to gold games. I do my best to report them. Smurfs can gtfo
I wonder if people ever feel bad for doing unranked to GM content.
For a moment I thought I was the Ana because I remember popping off in bronze after so long of just playing quick play but name was different😅
if the Ana qued together with a friend, i think you can que with people that are within 1000 sr (when there was SR, I am assuming the number still exists, we just can't see it). Is bronze 500 and below?
Moira/Kiri dps is something quite normal, but Ana dps is something new
That ana is indeed not metal ranks 😂 biggest issue with support players most times, they are to nice...its okay to leave them to die if they play stupid, that's not on you
It be like that sometimes
Damn I need to play in bronze as soon as I exist as Ana I'm getting focused into oblivion 😅
That Ana is definitely Masters or above
ngl that was really entertaining to watch
I feel like id struggle against this Ana in my gold games too
I can't find anywhere the song that Emongg used? I only found 2 clips from his streams somewhere and that's it. Does anyone know where I can find the original song?
your chaos is what i'm here for
Lol not those sleeps 😭😭 damn that's painful to watch
It is 100% a smurf... Why's he taking so long to state it
this is a smurf
Watching Bronzes play Overwatch is like watching 8 year olds play football. It's adorable.
its funny how it looks like its in slow motion, almost respectful how they give each other time to ponder each move
until u realize ur on the team
Its not the same case in all servers bro, asian servers, bronze is at other servers gold/plat
@@vcp2077 copium
Pretty condescending. You may feel like hot sht but higher ranks will think the same about your gameplay
been waiting for another vid
This is just your average Awkward viewer finally figuring it all out
Don't understand the comments, this is a blatant smurf account
How poor the Ana was😢 she even wanted to Smurf in bronze.
These bronze are playing better then most of the people I play with in plat and gold.
Biggest problem for this kiri player is they can only focus on one thing they heal or they throw kuni you can do both
