We all think he was an unstoppable force who wouldn't die until he saw what he wanted come true and when it happened he accepted death... an honorable one to be sure
When you realise Senku's 'idle chat' was masking the fact he was breaking inside... To make sure tsukasa's last memory of him was one of hope, not sorrow. He knows that in this stone world the petrification approach is a long shot, and so this may be the last time they ever talk. He is giving tsukasa light to hold onto untill the very end, knowing the faith evreyone has in him, even though he himself doubts whether he can really do it this time. Even in the modern world this would be fatal, and Senku knows it, but he also knows tsukasa believes he can save him. And so he makes sure he gives tsukasa that hope, knowing it may well be false, right up untill the end, and then, he finally breaks down...
There's one more layer of genius there: what crunchyroll translated as "100% tripping balls" should've actually been "it's totally an illusion... an illusion", which is precisely what Senku gave everyone - the illusion of bringing Tsukasa back.

i think it's because it's supposed to be a meaningless chat: Talking about some random Mario theory, something that seems really meaningless (especially in Dr Stone world), while being something that you can more or less relate as the king of everyday discussion you could have. And with that, you really get that Senku is racking his brain to find the most random useless subject to discuss with Tsukasa during his final moments, in an attempt to lighten it and show him that Senku will do everything in order to save Tsukasa, so that this become an everyday talk, and not their last one. He does it with wet eyes, holding his tears. He doesn't look at Tsukasa, he doesn't want to know at which point he will fall asleep, and maybe forever.

This has to be one of my favorite Dr. Stone season 2 moments. Senku is talking to distract tsukasa that he is slowly dying and at the same time he is reviving their memories when they were together. My intepretation on this is that senku thinks he might not save tsukasa so at least they get to talk about the past once more also this just poves even more that senku really cares about everyone when we can see him almost crying for tsukasa. This was a beautiful moment and i loved it
Not only that, but I think that there's multiple meanings to what the last thing Senku said to Tsukasa, not only was he asking him if he was right to see if he was still alive, but asking himself that as well..."Is this right? Am I making the right call and decision in doing this? What if I can't find the petrification device? What if it's already too late? What if it's already been destroyed by the passage of time? What then?"

The emotion behind Senku's "Right?" is just so jarring. Damn, what a realization for him. He was trying so hard to just talk off what he was doing and after he said that.... it hit him so hard. That had to be so difficult.
Can honestly say that I was not expecting to get teary eyed over the character we spent the entire first season believing to be the story's main villain.
The expressions in this anime are so realistic, you can tell what the characters are feeling without having it exaggerated. Senku is smiling most of the time, but his eyes tell a different story. The voice acting as well, you can hear little tells of how the characters truly feel, especially as Senku's voice starts tremble and lose volume.
Never thought I'd feel for Tsukasa after killed Senku the first time, but man I was breaking down when Senku was just talking and Tsukasa was already dead.
He did "die" there's no way to freeze someone and actually have them live while frozen. It's just to prevent decomposition for if they can find how to revive him.

Once wasn't enough. Dr. Stone had to hurt me again by showing this clip here and now :(

Considering senku's reactions around the time of putting him in the freezer I think Tsukasa did die but they put him in the freezer right before his body decided to start decomposing

I love it when the character that you never expect to show emotion is holding back tears. It truly shows that no matter how much you try to smile, no one can be immune to sadness
Those are the kind of chats you have to help yourself through what you know to be the inevitable end. When I saw the title I knew something was amiss. No conversation is meaningless so just to have one going through the past, a reminder of halcyon days, told me that one book was coming to a close.
This scene was painful to watch, Tsukasa being put to a cold slumber and Senku on the verge of tears. The music amplifies the scene, and it was powerful enough to make me cry 😭
Senku didn't cry over his father's death because he knew he supported him to the end... But he cried over Tsukasa entering cryosleep because he doesn't know if he's gonna be able to support him or not
The fact that senku knew that tsukasa died while remembering the time they spent together before starting the war and still kept chat “mindlessly” is so great and i love it makes me tear up everytime

He's still a child in the end and has no experience with the pain of loss which isn't easy for anyone. So far to him everyone is turned to stone so they are still alive to him but this was a loss he personally had to experience and could do nothing about except be there for him in his final moment.

Tsukasa did nothing wrong :( I just loved this scene... also it gave Senku (and us, the viewers) another reason, and emotional involvement, to find the petrification cause. This was the best decision the author could have gone for. I applaud.
I totally agreed in the end he atoned for his sins and told Ukkyo the places he destroyed each statue, the fact that he never forgot shoes how deep his character is

This scene was painful to watch, Tsukasa being put to a cold slumber and Senku on the verge of tears. The music amplifies the scene, and it was powerful enough to make me cry 😭

Senku didn't cry over his father's death because he knew he supported him to the end... But he cried over Tsukasa entering cryosleep because he doesn't know if he's gonna be able to support him or not

Tsukasa sounds like "tu casa" in spanish which means "your house" so thats what i hear everytime they say tsukasa
The fact that senku knew that tsukasa died while remembering the time they spent together before starting the war and still kept chat “mindlessly” is so great and i love it makes me tear up everytime

Goldwire-Machine of Senku working, this is barely explaind and really whacky
Senku s voice slowly getting more crackly just hurts to hear
He's still a child in the end and has no experience with the pain of loss which isn't easy for anyone.
So far to him everyone is turned to stone so they are still alive to him but this was a loss he personally had to experience and could do nothing about except be there for him in his final moment.

I just loved this scene... also it gave Senku (and us, the viewers) another reason, and emotional involvement, to find the petrification cause. This was the best decision the author could have gone for. I applaud.
I totally agreed in the end he atoned for his sins and told Ukkyo the places he destroyed each statue, the fact that he never forgot shoes how deep his character is
Tsukasa did a lot wrong, otherwise he wouldn't have died but I do like the guy.
