Exactly! Cher used it as a vocal effect, but she didn't need auto-tune. Same with Pentatonix. ♡♡

They only used autotune in homage to Cher because she used autotune as a style choice on Believe! As you say it sound great when singer use it as a technique not because their voices need auto tuning! Another great reaction Dave. You can't watch this without bopping!

In the Sing Off, they were planning to do Believe by Cher for their 4th performance, but it wasn't working, so they did Video Killed the Radio Star instead, and that was their turning point on the show that ultimately led to them winning. I love that they put it in the mix. It's an awesome call back, and Easter egg for long-time fans.

This was the first thing I heard Matt in instead of Avi and I was thoroughly impressed
Matt has such a beautiful soft, warm tone to his voice...and a really great falsetto. Check out Hallelujah the 2021 live version to hear his falsetto.
I adore Matt. I love Avi of course for the journey he led them to and Avi helped to find Matt. He had large shoes to fill and has done so with such a joy for life, for his faith, and his incredible talent as a baritone and bass singer. He and Scott match so well together. But what I really love about Matt is his innate joy for life!! And I just can't imagine Avi doing the Dynamite/Butter remix the way Matt did. Their music has progressed in a different direction with Matt that may not have happened with Avi. And bless Avi for his amazing talent and self expression of his true self that he needs in his life. Love this group with a passion!

@@pattis2641 Avi did not help find Matt. Avi had nothing at all to do with finding Matt. Matt auditioned, along with 40+ others. Matt knew Ben Bram, yet he still had to audition. Matt earned his spot in Pentatonix on his own based upon his talent, skill, experience, personality and work ethic. I agree that Matt is a great fit for the band. I love them too.

I’ve watched eleventy eight reactions to this Dance Medley, and I believe it may be impossible to sit still without dancing/singing along with it.
I loved this to pieces.. yikes, but my KIDS are 80’s babies so a bunch were familiar from hearing their music (I’m a 50’s gal, so my jam is 60’s +😜)
This one is always 5+ minutes of pure joy!

I got just as much fun out of your reactions to this song as the song itself! Compared to old-lady me, you ARE a baby, 😊so I enjoyed the little '90's pop-culture education as well. I mean, I was obviously around, but at 'responsible' adult age by then, so it wasn't quite the same experience for me.
They do a really fascinating montage of "music through the centuries" as well. Gregorian chant, Beethoven, WW2 songs, and a lot of Motown. It's very cool! The Michael Jackson montage is great as well, and it's done in live studio with no editing. Welcome to the wormhole!

The autotune was an homage to Cher since she if attributed with introducing the unique sound in that song.
Ok, I'm just going to throw this out there. You want PTX R&B. Seriously, go to the sing off season 3. There, you can see how PTX started, and eventually get your head blown away from how PTX can do R&B. Start with the first episode, but use MrDuckBear for the videos, much better, the audio stays on the entire video. Include the judges comments and you will see the original pentaholic. And the original Mitch slap.

Boom boom boom is vengaboys I think they were from another country other than UK or America but can't remember which, they had loads of club bangers in the 90s including were going to ibiza, up and down, we like to party and my fav 48 hours you should totally react to them

As an Uber Driver who drives primarily at night, I can absolutely confirm that when I put this song on, my passengers are "bopping" and twerking in their seats. Of course, this works with most other PTX songs, as well.

Sorry it was Cascade. The most of the songs where called “Eurodance” cause the most of them were German or European projects! This was very common in the 90’s!

I hate autotune it sucks to be honest only 90% rappers use it to make there voices sound better I use my natural voice to sing or the best I can with my natural voice I refuse to use autotune cause it’s not your real voice it’s just making your voice more robotic and less real sorry my opinion
