You might be ready for Aha! Singapore star Vista. But make sure that you have someone who can make sure that you survive. Watch the official video first and all of the way to the end, then watch the fan video. It is the Avi and Mitch show, and includes the ultimate Mitch slap. Other ways to prepare, a helmet and a seat belt. The sound quality isn't the best, Avi did damage a speaker, and Kevin was there, but the person filming ignored him.
If you want to get to church with Mitch, watch the silent night video, which was filmed in a church. It's not Christmas time, but pentaholics listen to PTX Christmas music all year long.

Hey Dave, I'm a huge fan of your Pentatonix reactions and it's been a lot of fun watching them. I've been a Pentaholic for about two years now and it's really fun to watch someone else get completely gobsmacked, Mitch-Slapped and K.O.'d by them.
You're going to get 100K subscribers really soon and I'm so happy in advance for you.
I do have a suggestion and many fellow Pentaholics will back me up on this. Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some quality over-the-ear headphones. Wired or wireless, it doesn't matter, just make sure they're high quality.
The difference is ASTONISHING. Seriously. Listen to one song with your earbuds, and then listen to it again wearing headphones and what you'll immediately notice is the clarity of the BASS. Avi and Matt will completely blow you away. It's just crisper and cleaner and more powerful and it'll make you want to never go back.
Now, this is a significant purchase, so if you have any doubts in advance, just make a poll on your channel and ask your viewers if we'd recommend over-the-ear headphones and I'd bet good money that most people will agree.
There is one downside. You'll get blown away all over again. :D
All are original except the MJ, of course. Kirsty (rhymes with thirsty), co-writer, Kevin, wrote 'Water'. One of my favorites! They do such a great job and they would not be PTX without any one of those artists. Except when Avi had to leave, because his mother had cancer and he couldn't spend enough time with her, you know engagements, tours and such and they replaced him with Matt. However Matt is a crucial part of PTX now. An integral addition. Thank you for taking the time to react to this whole PopSpring concert. They don't make an upgrade unless they can do the same for their concerts. That is one reason they are so exceptional in their art. Be safe and enjoy, looking forward to more.
Yes! Always love seeing reactors see their talent and three originals all in one sitting! It is a crime that their originals are not getting any radio play! Mitch and Kirsty are dressed as Japanese Anime characters
PTX is very popular there and they love Japan

Hello Dave, So glad you did this. Popspring 2016 is phenomenal. Scott starting on Cracked with those pop sounds. Kirstie with those sweet vocals on Water. Avi with the consistent bass. Kevin with the percussion and all those sounds. All five them doing that Michael Jackson evolution live is a masterpiece of transitions and arrangement. But honestly, Mitch, Mitch, Mitch with his astounding vocals in the Evolution of Michael Jackson and his performance in Can't Sleep Love - starting with the vocalisations (pwaw pwaw pwaw), the sweet ear candy (yeah), his singing, his high notes, his rapping and his sassing. When he started walking with the microphone stand he was certainly on fire and certainly stole the show. Love your statement "Bro, Mitch vocals is enough to cure sickness" - believe it. BTW - Thank you for the picture of Mitch in your back drop !! If you want to see more of Mitch live on stage suggest Aha live from the Star Vista in Singapore; No (performance where Mitch is wearing a black bow tie) and Hallelujah liver from the Evergreen Tour. Pentatonix has a lot of originals, recommend you react to Sing (get your dancing shoes), Happy Now (more dancing need), Anchor (be prepared for some great vocals) and Never Gonna Cry Again (with a box of tissues). PTX did an entire album of originals in 2021 to celebrate their 10th Anniversary - the album is called The Lucky Ones, including the title track which is a bit of their story.

Love this set! Thanks for reacting to it. This is the absolute best version of Can't Sleep Love. I wish the audio of this version could be captured and on Spotify. There are two versions on the deluxe album, one without the rap and one with a guest rapper, not Mitch. But sassy Mitch in this is so so good.
Yep, MItch's voice is incredible, I love it, it heals my heart if I am sad, raises my mood if I'm blue and just makes my little world a better place. I play PTX almost every day and I always feel happier for it.

FWIW, the high notes in "Water" that you found so interesting were actually Kevin, not Mitch 😄 No one calls that one right the first time because it's so unexpected. There are actually high notes for all of them in at least one song each... except Avi. Yep, including Matt (you should check out Joyful, Joyful live for a full range of Matt surprises including rapping, beatboxing and hitting the high! Needs to be the live, though, because the studio version has a guest artist instead of Mitch doing the amazing solo)
There's an interview on YT where they were asked to demo their high notes. Kirstie and Mitch came through, of course, but everyone was surprised when Kevin hit a falsetto note that even went higher than Mitch's.

😂 Right where you say you're Mitch slapped, Scott knows it's coming & throws his hands wide in the air like he's enjoying it along with everyone else. He's mentioned before about loving Mitch's high notes & that's why for his birthday one year he talked Mitch into doing Defying Gravity for that week's Superfruit video.

The PopSring video is how I fell in love with Mitch’s voice and the more I watch (I think I’ve seen all of them now) the more I think his voice is my single favorite voice of all time. And watching superfruit videos and his Patreon has made me adore and respect him as a person.
Thank goodness you said it's a little pitchy at the beginning of can't sleep love bc I have ALWAYS thought that but no one that I have seen has ever caught it. However like you said, one of my friends said that sometimes Scott just plays with the notes and they just let him bc he's so good.
Yep, intentional I think. Same thing he does in the original Thank You when he’s playing jingle bells, he does a little off key on purpose I think to give the context of the pandemic and “off” times. Just my interpretation but the point is, I think it’s an intentional choice.
This is the one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen. To sing a cappella at that level is incredible. The Michael Jackson medley alone is mind-blowing but when you add their original songs as well, as you said pure raw talent!!! I could watch this one hundred times and never tire of it. ❤️
Dave, Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) and Mitch's outfits remind me of Raggedy Ann and Andy's done in Japanese Anime style. I believe it was an intentional choice to play to the primarily Japanese crowd in this performance. They are masters of their craft -- in any form they choose to present their music. Love the live reactions best. Thanks for choosing this one.
This is the only professional video recording I've found of Water. They never released it and told us at a VIP meet that they would not be doing a video. 😭 It's such a great song
You can see where Be My Eyes came from. That is also a Kirstin lead song. I think she also wrote or was the primary writer on both of them.
You actually have reacted to the songs, lol. There aren't any videos of Water or Cracked, though you could react to the album version audio. There are two album versions and a video for Can't Sleep Love, but the video doesn't have the rap, and only one of the album versions has the rap by guest Tink. No offense meant to Tink, who is wonderful in it, but I will happily take Mitch getting sassy AF any day. Do watch the video, though, it's pretty cool, even if you don't react to it. I do believe that Pentatonix vocals are 100% healing, and if we could all be inoculated by Mitch's voice, we would never get sick. I'm so glad you did Popspring! It's a great video to see how incredible they perform live, and to get a good experience of how wonderful their original songs are. Plus the Evolution of Michael Jackson is always a treat. What a triumph of performance and arrangement that is! Fantastic reaction!

It’s just so impressive to me how in tune their chords are, like 99.9% perfect. You can even hear the resonance. I’ve never heard any group of singers harmonize and blend together so well and so consistently. They also do really good on starting and ending notes together, not to mention their musicality and personality they inject into it, the different tones they can achieve and their amazing ranges. And their talents as arrangers and song writers/composers. They’re just such a pleasure to listen to
There’s not a single live performance video of theirs that I’ve heard where I thought that they were having an off day which is insane
As the other post said, those unusual high notes at the end of water were Kevin. If you notice, the beat boxing stopped at the beginning of that section. When that happens, you can usually expect something extraordinary from Kevin. Mitch was doing some rather high supporting notes in the background, but those two really high notes belonged to Kevin.
Great reaction. The last song, "Water" is my favorite from their 2015 self-titled originals album but they never did an official video so I'm glad to have this live version. Their second originals album, "The Lucky Ones" came out in 2021. My favorite from that is "Happy Now"

So glad you reacted to this amazing video! I love it because it was professionally filmed and recorded. Sometimes live performances recorded by people in the audience don't have the greatest sound, or the recorder is a big fan of one of them. Here, you get the whole group, and the sound is even and clear. My favorite song is Water, which Kirstie wrote. Her singing lead on a whole song is very rare, and she killed it. The video behind them is amazing and timed with the song, as you pointed out. I saw them do this song live and it was a highlight of the show. When the water drops hit on the screen and Avi hit his bass note, the whole arena shook!

Yes - definitely react to their original music (any - not just the 3 in this video 🙂)...every last one is fantastic! There are many originals out there, and not many people react to them, which is a disappointment.
I got to see them in concert on their first two tours. They were amazingly good! And I know they've just hired their skills since then. (I'm just not able to deal with stadium concerts, so I've sat them out more recently)

Perhaps Avi's clothing is paying a compliment to The man in black (and bass) Johnny Cash? 😉 BTW one of Avi's college groups was a jazz vocal group. He does a mean rendition of Summertime for example. This was videoed by the Japanese TV station I believe. The best captures of both Avi's bass and Kevin's percussion in a live setting in my opinion.

The last reaction I saw you did not talk over them singing so I didnt think I needed tell you my usual disclaimer for the making of evergreen. If you react to it, for your own sake as much as ours, PLEASE DO NOT TALK OVER THE VIDEO. YOU WILL MISS ONE OF THE MANY LITTLE NUGGETS OF GREATNESS THAT ARE IN THERE. I have seen so many reactors miss one of Matt's jokes, or Scott saying the prayer gave him literal chills, or Mitch and Scott knowing each other so well that when Mitch says should it be this or this, Scott says yeah and they both know which one they mean. Great reaction to this for sure except talking over them singing.

I know I must look like a reaction stalker but I just tested positive for COVID-19 and have binged your reactions because they're really great. I'm really surprised you haven't started with the sing off performances to see them from the very beginning and how they made Acapella relevant in today's music, moreover, you get to know them and see how they have grown. And I've said it in a couple of comments already, AHA SINGAPORE STAR VISTA=MITCH PUNCHED. if you seen it already please disregard but Mitch is the star of that show and shines brighter than he ever has, or at least what I've seen. And I cannot discount Avi in that performance either. Avi could have easily blown a speaker just as easily as Mitch could have shattered glass. Speaking of Avi, there is a compilation of him doing something called overtones. I didn't even know that was a thing
Being a nonmusician, is there some way to explain, technically, or in some other way, their level of genius? And how they have the power to "send you to another place". And it's not like 1 or 2, it's all of them. Is this our "Beethovan moment?" or am a lunatic, very enthusiastic fan ?
I always think of it as the stars aligning in the cosmos to create a convergence of power. Sorry if that sounds corny, but I don't know of any other way to explain it. I've sung in a number of groups and choirs, and maintaining that level of perfection in a small group over 11 years is hard to match.

I think that the High voice that we hear in the 16:17 is actualy Kevin, not mitch, but I'm not sure. Its amazing either way.

If you are in to Mitch rapping, you'd LOVE Mitch and Scott doing Feeling Myself from their side project Superfruit. They did a lot of medleys there, and there are TONS of hilarious little videos they did just celebrating being friends. Just a heads up though, Pentatonix is pretty G rated. Superfruit is much more PG-13 and up rated. Most people don't care a fig, but I just want you to be prepared. They have so many more musical adventures for you ro explore.
