Just got a C3. Had a C7 from 2017. The difference is amazing. Outside the OS being brilliant the main difference is the standard HD picture is very close to the brilliance of the old 4K picture
I've had a C7 since 2018 and also considering an upgrade. What differences are you most impressed by? Is the brightness considerably better? I find that my C7 is quite dim sometimes, mainly when playing games in HDR.
Agree. Depending on offers available at the time, someone who's buying new (i.e. first new tv in a few years etc), on Black Friday might consider the C3 over the C2 though.
they are almost the same picture quality wise (sometimes c2 looks a tiny bit better, sometimes c3 does). c3 is just a bit faster and i couldn't care less about it. at this point, the only thing i would like is to be able to buy bigger TV for less money. difference between 55 and 65" is around $800, which is crazy. you can almost get 2 55" TVs for the same money. xD
Forget the picture basically 7/15 audio formats are not supported on c2, now they finally added dts audio support playback and passthrough on 3 series lg oleds. I think that's the biggest point. I hope they put it on old lgs but probably not because LG are pricks.
I just saw C2 and C3 yesterday side by side. The C3 I’ve seen didn’t have that purple tint on the reflection. It was like the cheaper or older models that didn’t have the purple anti-glare filter applied and the reflections on the C3 appeared more intense and bright than the reflections on the C2, to the point I thought that LG deliberately removed the filter on the 48” C3 to cut some of the cost related to it. I can clearly see your C3 (which is I presume the 55” model) has the purple anti-glare filter. Is it possible to confirm that the 48” C3 is supposed to have the same anti-glare?
I`m glad I got the C2 because despite of tiny brightness and little sharpness in some scenes I coudn`t really tell any other differences. As always with any brightness increase. We get more brightness at the cost of loosing detail in some scenes though.Like 6:43 shot. The sky on C3 in overblown and you loose a lot of details. So its a trade off. And unless side by side ,no one is gonna notice anyways.
I realize this is more of a question for LG, but you clearly know your stuff so maybe you just might be able to answer this...Your video shows/states that the C3 Pedestal comes with the new Metal Plate, while the C2 comes without. I just purchased the C3 65, and its base has no metal plate. I'm wondering why some do, and some don't. I've watched a few Unboxing videos, and it just seems quite *random*. Some C3's come with the plate...some don't. Should I be concerned that my C3 has a "C2 base"? Thanks!
I’m going for the latest processor on the C3 if I go LG. My current 2017 LG oled still works great but support for that web os system stopped. I stream everything and was forced to switch to Roku due to the tv would not update the Hulu app that was built in. This happened 2 years ago so support for their operating system is short lived 5 years. I may look into Sony before my purchase just for that fact.
Thanks for another great informative video. I purchased a TCL 4K model 50S451 and hate it. Unless you're right in front the viewing fades to an annoying lightened picture. My question is which 55" TV is best so everyone in the living room can have a great picture? Mixed lighting since it's our main television and we watch it in daylight and at night with just a small light on. We have cable, don't do gaming but enjoy watching movies and I might be doing some streaming if I can ever figure it out, LOL. FYI we used to have a Plasma and could enjoy from most seats in the living room.
I purchase tvs eveey few yrs 3 to 5 so i can actually see a difference. Just because they realease them every year doesnt mean you have to buy them. Buy diff brands diff sizes and diff types
A better comparison would be to show the settings on each tv make sure they are equal in all aspects Im watching this on the C2 i think its great for $1300
Great content btw. I’m upgrading from an old flatscreen 42” 1080p tv so the 55” LG C2 would be ideal especially as I enjoy my gaming. But sadly there are none brand new that I can find in the UK. Even the 48” would’ve done but from what I’ve read and watched, it’s just a cloned version of the C1 at a C2 price. So I’m just gonna need to save more and buy the C3
Imma get the lg c3 just because this will be my first lg oled tv and because of the extra brightness I’m happy that I will experience 4K 120hz for the first time
@@isiah401able you basically get all 15 sound formats with c3, with c2 you get 8/15 and 70% of Blu-ray audio compatibility when with the c3 you get 100% of blu ray audio sound format support. C3 handles reflection better but the C2 color is lot better. Also the C2 handles darker scenes better. I think C2 is the better TV even if it's a little older & slower. Like the guy said cash is king. 🤷🏽♂️
Why is that that the c3 is worse in terms of color handling and dark scenes than the c2. A new generation should be better? Would you recommend the c2 or c3 finally?
@@mbz4652 My theory is that they want to protect the gallery series. You want the brighter TV you're gonna have to buy the top tier TV. I think they didn’t do that for the C2 & G2 & people opted for the cheaper tv since there wasn't much of a difference. My folks recently bought a cheap 4k 65 inch Walmart Vizio & they love it. I think they paid like 300 hundred bucks for it. So if you're on the oled train go for the gallery. Just keep in mind that you'll have to calibrate it. They don't have a great picture out of the box. Useful video for knowing what the differences are between the yearly updates but unless you are wanting a specific feature such as DTS audio support, which the C2 does not have, then it always makes far more sense to just purchase the previous year's model which will likely be half the price at the time of the new model's release. I bought a 55" LG C3 to replace my 55" 2019 LG B9 a couple of weeks ago and I am absolutely delighted with it. The 2024 C4 is just an iterative update on the C3 at twice the price with the only real difference being a 10% brightness improvement which no-one is ever going to notice outside of a TH-cam side by side comparison video. It just made no sense for me to buy the C4 as both it and the C3 support DTS and are otherwise identical in terms of specs (the C4 has an updated processor and version of WebOS but neither of those justify paying the extra over the C3 in my opinion).
And...coincidentally...I ordered the C2 65 from Walmart on Cyber Monday for $1250 - lowest I've ever seen it. BUT they accidentally sent me the C3! So I got a C3 65 for $1250!
I'm so mad about the dts audio situation. I think that's a reason to just go for c3, if your an avid Blu-ray watcher then that's basically 30-35% of Blu-ray's having garbage audio quality. And bro you're butchering the names you said c1 once.
It’ll make your audio lcpm 5.1 if you have a sound system if you’re watching movies with dts. Lcpm is uncompressed audio which sounds even better than dts

I want to use either of the TVs to watch graphs of the stocks I am monitoring. I was more concerned about the sharpness of the texts and the graphs. Would you be able to compare?
Seems like begging for burn in to happen watching static stock charts. Anyway text sharpness is fine, even for productivity. It will probably improve even more once Microsoft updates cleartype for WOLED pixel layouts.
Go with a Led for that, no reason to dish out money for premium TV that should not be exposed to static images, it's throwing money in the Garbage. Rich people are they wjo know how to wisely spend their money around every corner, every penny saved is a penny saved.

Crucially, it will let manufacturers know that they should be making bigger improvements between product launches...and NOT relying on the 'easy' CPU upgrade route to fool buyers.
The near black was tweaked and SD upscaling. More complex scenes favor the C2 because the C3 has to much image correction. (It's like an S95B vs an S90c...Better firmware/software with slight tweaks to make it slightly brighter. It's all about MLA on a G3 or The King, QD-OLED. C4 might be a big jump but, from the looks of it, no MLA on that glossy screen. Can they really call it C4? It's a shame Samsung hates OLED and their Operating system and menus have been crap for the past 7 years.)
I’m looking to upgrade my 10 year old Sony to a LG OLED, would like a 65 but the price is a bit steep. Thinking another 55 but can’t decide. Thinking of a G2 at the moment but can get a C2 now for £1149, over a G2 for £1499 and whatever it is for a stand as can’t wall mount it. Or do I get a newer C3 for the same price? Or do I wait until before or after Xmas when there might be a better deal going? But noticing that C2s and G2s are getting harder to get hold of. Decisions decisions 😅
Can you put the UI back to the old one? I like manually closing apps on my CX as the apps can randomly force close if you don't. Hence why I have an Nvidia Shield tbh.

I don't buy TVs year on year. Because honestly I find it to be a waste of money but also because I honestly don't need the "latest and greatest" I have absolutely zero FOMO.. But I did go against my own grain. I had an LG C1 and I pulled the trigger on getting an LG C3. I am honestly very glad I did. As much as I love the LG C1 I knew it wasn't very bright I knew that the accuracy of it was way off and had to get it as close as I could and in all Honestly though I was very happy with it I wasn't really excited in a pitch black dark room oh yeah it was great. But my TV is in the living room to which of course there's light because I'm not a vampire. The LG C3 has been an outright awesome upgrade and I am very glad I got it with the brightness the color volume of colors the clarity and a much better operating system it is just a treat. Now I will be good for 5 years since I got the 5-year warranty and Found out LG will now Update all there 2023 and up TVs with the latest WebOS for 5 years. So now it gets software updates as well as firmware updates for 5 years. All the features enough brightness for what I need and want and it's absolutely beautiful.
It's not worth the upgrade in my opinion. There isnt enough improvements for the extra cost.

Agreed I’m still enjoying my lg c2 and I plan on keeping it for as long as possible
Clearly you must have seen a faulty C2
Purchased the 77 inch C3. My last Oled was a C6P 65 inch... Loving it!!!!!
Is there any differences between 48" and 55" on C3 like C2 last year? Thank u very much.
I join the question
The only difference it's the brightness +20 % and the DTS.
I’m very used to my C2. I’ve seen a C3 (parent’s place), ofc I’ve never had them side by side but I couldn’t really tell a difference.
I think the c2 just looks better all around.. Im moving the c3 in my rooom and the c2 out for everyday view
I purchase tvs eveey few yrs 3 to 5 so i can actually see a difference. Just because they realease them every year doesnt mean you have to buy them. Buy diff brands diff sizes and diff types
I have upgraded my LG Oled from LG CX 65 inch ( buy it 3,5 years ago ) to LG C3 77 inch...aim so amazing happy...it is a good choice...🎉🎉
Hello, need ur help in ur opinion which better lg C3 77inch for 3500$ or lg G2 77INCH for 3800$?
A better comparison would be to show the settings on each tv make sure they are equal in all aspects
Im watching this on the C2 i think its great for $1300
Great content btw.
The c3 is the same as C2 lol and 1 essentially
Imma get the lg c3 just because this will be my first lg oled tv and because of the extra brightness I’m happy that I will experience 4K 120hz for the first time
It's better for long term dts audio formats is the main benefit. I didn't know before c2 purchase.
@@RinzSach hell yea this will last me for a good 8 years especially that I’m coming from a Roku 4K tv
@@isiah401able you basically get all 15 sound formats with c3, with c2 you get 8/15 and 70% of Blu-ray audio compatibility when with the c3 you get 100% of blu ray audio sound format support. The dts audio situation on old lg oleds sucks bro, it's nice for a long term investment. I know dts is losing against Dolby but it's still nice to have Disney plus and Plex are using it. DTS:X must sound good too but I'd never know.
Get a s95b if u want a 55 inch or 65inch. Better color gamut. I've had an lg cx and c1. I set up my sisters c2 it's not as bright as samsung or colorful
Yea I had alot of people saying lg is better then that tv I’m look into the s95b ima watch some reviews
Are you suggesting that people actually upgrade their TVs like they upgrade phones? There is no upgrade for 6-10 years for me
Only the rich not the average
To be honest since I got my C1 I havent even considered a new tv and I feel the same for 2023. Now as far as the C2 and C3 and is it worth the upgrade? I don't honestly think so but it's up to the individual. Now if your going to a C2 to the G3? Yes it's worth the upgrade. But the C2 and C3 are very minimal at best. Just my opinion.
C1 is NOT worlds apart from the latest TV's. Even compared to the latest G3 it is not light and day difference
I think a lot of it comes down to adjusting settings which is why I think both TVs should be calibrated by a professional before the comparison
I bought my 77" C1 in April 2023 (build October 2022) and have had it professionally calibrated. I cannot really see the C2 or C3 to be that much of an improvement.
@@anUntouchablethe c2 factory calibration is actually really decent the last time I looked it up if I remember. The CXs factory calibration is crap though
@@anUntouchable Yeah right...The G3 calibrated is WAY!!! better than the C2...That's just a fact.

Shame u missed out on the brightness features of the 55 inch model

The left side of the C3 TV is lighter, while the right side is darker compared to the C2. Could there be a defect in the panel? THX!
What TV stand are you using?
Look like there are more details on C2, i think it depens on settings calibration, I can't believe it otherwise.

When is S95C VS G3 REVIEW
Just got a 65" LG c3 coming from a crusty 70" Vizio M.
Holy shit was all I could say. I want to actually watch movies and tv now....
Vizio is a joke
Also at the end of the day it's content over resolution. Good luck & don't go into debt for a TV. Cash is king!
@@mbz4652 I went for the 55inch C2 because it was cheaper. I got mine at a Bestbuy Outlet that had nothing but open box/returned items. I got it for $600.00 & that made it worth it for me. I live in a small apartment so 55inch was more than enough for me.
Is the G3 worth spending the extra money on over the C3?
Yes.

Hello there i need a help, confused wither to go lg c3 77 inch or samsung s90c 77 inch? Any recommendations?

Is g3 different then c2 ? Picture quality
I am either getting one of these by weekend:-
LG OLED C3 48"
LG OLED C2 55"
LG QNED miniLED QNED91 65"
will go to the store to take a look which one worth it....
I would suggest the lg oled 55 c2 which I just bought. Minimal difference for a bugger screen is better value. The mini led 91 doesn't compare. I work in HiFi and I looked/look at those tvs you mentioned day in and day out. GOOD LUCK 😊
I'm looking to buy my first oled tv, should I go for the C2 it's like 500-600 cheaper than the C3 or should I get the newer one
Can’t go wrong with either one. If you want to save money go C2. If you have extra cash to blow get C3.
I think they are closer in price now as Sales on the c3 models are going on
Option 1 - You get the c2 with a ps5
Option 2 - you get the c3 and that’s it 😂
I want to use either of the TVs to watch graphs of the stocks I am monitoring.
Rich people are they wjo know how to wisely spend their money around every corner, every penny saved is a penny saved.
there will be 42" ?
What size were these?
Good comparison, thanks for the upload.
The differences, overall, are minimal, as we see here. The new processor in the C3 is an extremely easy 'upgrade' for any media device company, and it's the one that gives the 'biggest change' i.e. responsiveness - clearly, the C3's UI is faster (and equally crucially, not that the C2's UI was an issue).
In conclusion, it shows those with a C2 just how good a purchase that was and lets potential purchasers know that going for the C2 is good advice.
C2 was recently updated with new home and quick settings UI
I’m looking to upgrade my 10 year old Sony to a LG OLED, would like a 65 but the price is a bit steep. Thinking another 55 but can’t decide. Thinking of a G2 at the moment but can get a C2 now for £1149, over a G2 for £1499 and whatever it is for a stand as can’t wall mount it. Or do I get a newer C3 for the same price? Or do I wait until before or after Xmas when there might be a better deal going? But noticing that C2s and G2s are getting harder to get hold of. Decisions decisions 😅
Currently all the deals are gone... I'm hoping boxing day drops it by a few hundred at least.

So I cannot wait to see what 2029 brings.
