Of course it works. Just don´t mix the commands. Assemble should be used if you use positive and negative bodies, the other commands should be used it you use only positive bodies.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training haha , sure sir but you have to take me to your country for work. have done M.Tech in Cad / Cam and made many toy vehicle models in it.
Hi Wolfgang... Is this a valid method in CAD design?, or just an exercise to show that you can still produce the same result outside the sheetmetal enviroment....I know you describe it as a "different method" but it seems to be alot of work to produce the item/design outside the sheetmetal enviroment with tools that are available today like in SW, etc.
Yes, in the bottom toolbar are some icons to control the background, selectable, visibile etc. One of these must be activated - orange colour - deactivate it.
I have not gone through your videos in quite some time. I need to brush up on my skills now and I don't remember off hand which video/(s) show why you hide the reference axis, etc. why you avoid the Standard Part Body,Do all the swapping and reversing of Precision sketch. etc. I'm sure some of it is revealed as you go, but I thought there was one where you covered a bunch of that, I'd like to get right to it so I fully understand what is going on. Some of it must be the direction things revolve, Direction views are flipped when a drawing is created(First vs third angle projection) I'm in the US. You sure have a lot of videos, it's terrific. I need to brush up on NX as well.
Great exercise. Just one comment. I tried the "Remove" instead of Assembly with a negative body and it worked. It works both ways.Thank you

Awsome!
🤣
great
Thanks :)
Hi Sir!
Could you show, how do you make the unfolded view of this sheet metal parts?!
I would be very interested in it.
Thanks!
In order to unfold a part, you have to create it as a sheet metal part. This is just a regular part not a sheet metal part.
Wonderful . Sir please upload welding Fixture design on Catia V5 . It's my request .
So, please send lots of money. It´s my request. LOL

Yes it is, because there are a lot of things which you can´t do with sheet metal.
Hi would love to see u design a tubular chassis.
I´ve done already something similar : th-cam.com/video/tHpGpl5wdKw/w-d-xo.html
I must have a setting wrong somewhere. When you go into the sketch in 16:19, I just see the sketch Lines only, No solids(To adjust the Profile to)
