    Hello Wolfgang, I just finished this model and it was so much fun on this one. I love how you use copy/paste with link and then go back and easily edit also. If you keep up with this you may make "Best Cad Teacher on TH-cam!!" The difference between adding an audio description as your teacher vs. not having it is totally night and day! Thank you so much again for posting your skills!

    Congratulations, very nice video. I have a problem in 17:40 min, I can't create that constrain because when I'm above the piece any axis appears. Could you help me, please? Thank you in advance.

      Hi - you mean no axis appears ? Sorry, but without seeing your model it is very hard to tell what went wrong. I have no supernatural abilities ;)

    Sehr gutes Video um einen Eindruck zu bekommen wie man es machen kann.
    Hab nur ein Problem. Nach dem Zusammenfügen der Bauteile und des setzen der Löcher in die Lochscheibe, wollte ich den Winkel der Wangen bestimmen. Aber meine Achse ist nicht mittig im Bauteil. Eine Ahnung woran das liegen kann ?

    Hi. I've a problem with a static analysis. So, I made the part and was gonna make a statiс analysis - restraint, displacement force etc, but when opening the part into general structure analysis it's not available to do anything (restrant, displacement force). By the way I applied a material to the crank shaft like a steel from a standard material library. May be someone knows which does the problem in ? Why can I not make a general structure analysis?

    I like this software, however I have been using solidworks for about 6 years now and in the case of this design I feel that you could have done it in one piece. I drew a motor last year and the crank was one drawing; I used a pattern to mirror everything no need for any assembly. I am interested in learning this software. thank you for the video

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      H, first it is just an exercise - second solidworks can ´t do it in this way in a part.

    Hello, Thanks for your work I really appreciate your videos :) I just have a question : why do you always insist on hiding the projected yellow axis system in sketches ? I find them rather useful but maybe i'm wrong... Thanks in advance for your response :)

    I do not understand why hide the yellow projected sketch axis? If anything one should hide the background and only dimension to yellow axis since then the sketch can be copied and used in other places using 'change sketch support'. If the intention is to lock the model down then perhaps use parameter locks and setup checks to ensure design intent is maintained.

    Hallo Herr Walden,,, Danke Sehr für dieses Tutorial... I learned a lot from this particular video and I know I'm not in position to ask but can you do the other parts of the engine so at the end we'll assemble the whole parts to obtain an engine and make kinematic analysis. So it'll be kinda of '' project''. Thank you Mr Walden..All respect

      Hi, you´re welcome. Yes would be kind of interesting. But I´m afraid - my time for this kind of videos is very limited, at the moment I have so much (paid) work there is almost no time left for anything, sorry. But I will consider it.

    Dier Mr Wolfgang, I have problem with moving objects with compas (at 16:03min) objects got red color. I do everything like you do in video. What could be a problem ? :(

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - obviously you are not doing the same ;) - I´am pretty sure you are trying to move the original body, which is not possible. Make sure that you move the "linked copy"! But thats only assuming, I would have to see your part to check.

    • @djogi86
      @djogi86 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it is not original body. I do copy and paste special / as result with link. After that objects have normal color, when I get compas and move the objects thay are get red color. I can move objets with compas but I can not do positioning functions with coincidance on axis. Actualy I do that coincidance function but object does not move at all and get red color. I do same this few times before and everything works perfectly, but last few times I got this problem. Help :/ :)

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use this "constraints" with bodies in the part you have to be careful. Check if you got any "anchor" - constraints - this happens very often if you make a bad selection.
