    Hi Fred: Want to say thanks for all of your videos, especially the ones on Dahua. Based partially on your videos I recently purchase a 16 channel Dahua along with a couple of cameras. I am using those along with cameras from my old QSee system and a EZViz wireless camera. Your videos have been a tremendous help in getting everything up and running.
    A couple of ideas for future videos. 1. How to backup your SmartPSS configurations and use them to configure SmartPSS on a different computer (like a office computer and a home computer). 2. How to backup and restore camera configurations. One of my Dahua cameras went wacko and I had to reset it. I lost all my customization and had to recreate them. It would have been nice to backup the camera before I reset it.

    Great stuff thanks from down under. Just one other question. As the installer that has to tweak settings for the client , and your off site. What is the process via pss to change the settings and trouble shoot their Nvr? Do need to set up ddns initially? Or do you just log in with your admin credentials and do it that way

      You can log in remotely as admin. You just need to add the device to your PSS by serial number P2P. You can do everything remotely.

    Hello thank you for your video. Having installed a surveillance system at my home and Being currently traveling away from my home under surveillance, I would like to know if it is possible to restart the DVR remotely, I have a problem with the internal hard drive which is no longer recognized (not possible to view the event history). So I would like to be able to restart the device through the software. Thank you in advance and very good work 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hello, Could you show how to stream a live view to multiple displays/monitors. Maybe using Multingcast
    Greetings from Switzerland and thanks for all the good Videos you uploaded.

      Yes I can do that great idea. I often use a hdmi splitter for this from the NVR is more reliable than IVMS. Will you be viewing the cameras on site or remotely??

    What’s up bud thanks a lot for your videos. They are very helpful. I am stuck with the situation and I am hoping you are able to help me out with this, one of my IPC cameras is not loading when i open it. I am seeing a message the reads “connection failed” the other IPC cameras are working fine. I already tried resetting the cameras and added them back on to the smart PSS platform but it is still showing as connection failed. Can you please walk me through what I need to do to get that camera back up and running and if possible can you make a video tutorial of that process. I will highly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

    Good day, can you make a vid, I suspect my installer used my admin main for himself as well, is it possible, want to change password only for me to have access

    Hi Fred, I have a question: after creating a user role, how can a user change his own password without admin involvement?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Smart PSS is a standalone PC program. So once the NVR, DVR or IP camera is added by SN, username and password, you can change the software password on the PC to whatever you want.

    Hmmm, Im trying to install it on a normal windows user and it asks me Admin credentials all the time, tried to add "runas.exe" to the shortcut and its totally ignored, the next start asks credentials again.
