As a stained glass artist, I highly approve of your methods and execution. I’ve had that same issue with different glasses not cutting the same. I feel your pain and love your work.
A carved wooden base with some green stained glass tall grass (say that five times) around it would look awesome! Also think you should consider two smaller solid black rectangles for the eyes/pupils
As another commenter said, a wood base with green stained glass grass would really complete the sculpture... However, I think, to REALLY make it "POP" (figuratively speaking), CAREFULLY separating it and building a small framework armature that is centered in it while still following the contours and covering that armature in LED tape to turn the entire Squirtle into a MASSIVE lamp would be EPIC...
I just found your channel and watched all your videos last night, so I was so very excited to see the notification this morning! All your projects look amazing and your videos are very entertaining!
What a gem of a channel that I seriously hope pops off. The thoughtful and humorous dialogue, the transitions and the overall interesting and well executed projects just had me watch 3 of your videos in a row. I'm really happy I found this channel and hope you find a ton more success, as you are very talented.
The final product almost seems like CGI its perfect :D. Also I very recently typed out every single pokemon, I am too, an empty shell of nothingness. You seriously need to keep this up, I love everything you make and i almost ~~steal~~ take inspiration from all your projects too!
LAMP! When I was a kid (like little little in the 90’s) my brother and I had these amazing stain glass desk lamps. A whale and a tortoise. Idk what happened to them but this brought back so many memories
For the eyes, i think a triangle would fit much better as the usual image og squirtle we have is smiling, but another idea could be the squirtle with glasses from the anime, i think that would work very well with the build given the glasses simple size.
@@Ideal_Idea now this might be a 'hell no' but you could make the detachable sunglasses out of sheet steel and cold blue it (I believe it's gun blueing solution? idk I'm from the UK we don't have guns here!) that would turn it pretty black and it should be relatively lightweight if you use thin sheet steel. Silver would also work (with different patina solution) but the steel option would be comparatively cheaper. side note; I agree with the triangle eyes in the mean time/behind the glasses (or stretched octagons?)
After watching my first video of yours, I went on to watch two more. I don't just like your content, I like you. You're creative and a total goober. The videos of yours I've seen so far are great, and your visual effects are an absolute treat (and you're pretty darn good at them too!). I really appreciate how you go through the design decisions you make and explain why you made them and how what went wrong informs your later design iterations. I can't possibly speak for everyone else, but it really rings true to how I experience design projects, and it's nice to see.
Hey Ideal, I love your channel! Just as a video series idea, a tutorial and walkthrough on how you approach and design in sketch up. Bring your ideas from your head, to paper, to sketch up, to reality.
I can try and incorporate this a little more, I was also considering just having other unlisted videos for this type of stuff if enough people wanted them since it usually ends up getting cut from the full build videos
I concur that squirtle is the best starter pokemon, however imagine the possibility of a stained glass charmander with a red/orange light inside to emulate fire. None the less, this is awesome, as is the rest of your channel's content.
Amazing project and video as always Its rly cool to see you working with a new/unconventional material in every video (may it be sawdust, stained glass or cool methods to "draw") and your video editing is top notch Rly hope your channel gets more traction bc you rly deserve it
Well based on my username here, I agree with you that Squirtle is the best starter. The EDITS to sound of cutting glass to the beat of the music was so great.
I was looking for tutorial on 3D stained glass and found your video ! You are funny ahaha and I always wanted to have my own pokemon too ! Oh and I learned what I wanted to learn about 3D stained glass so thank you ☺👍👍
You could make the eyes like the squirtle from the original video game, I reckon the pixels would be pretty easy to translate onto the sculpture. Great vid btw
I think it would look awesome as a stand alone model on a green circular platform that imitates the grass. In future if you're feeling motivated you can build another Pokémon and base to simulate an actual battle like in the games. Also the pizza as a business expense is brilliant. ROFLMFAO
I only just found your channel, im 2 videos deep and Im having a blast!! Probably wayyy too late but the squirtle squad traingular sunglasses wouldve fit the poly look so well. Keep it up man!!
Subbed! What a cool channel! I like that you dive head first into new territory without being a pro, and explain your thought process, success and failures along the way. Great format, can't wait to see more :)
bro i just stumbled on your terrarium video and im watching another vid bc you have a great editing style and vibe. i looked at how many subs you had and was legit shocked af you dont have at least a mil+
1,000,000,000% make a grass lands style base maybe team up with north of the border and get his input on it as he dose this kinda stuff, would love too see some rgb lights in there maybe alexa contoled so you can say alexa make squirtle angry and maybe the lights turn red, you could also desauder the mouth part and resin print a water blast.
Surprised you didn't make the sunglasses from the anime for the eyes. Saw it in the background of your newest video and watching this one made me think of the Squirtle Squad
Dude the pacing on your videos is so so good, I'm hooked from the start to the end and your creativity is super inspiring! Absolutely love the channel! Also how about for the eyes, cut them out and use translucent stained glass panels so you can light it up from the inside with LEDS? A tidy wooden base would and a little brass plaque would finish it perfectly too 😁
in terms of starter pokemon squirtle may be considered as coolest STARTER pokemon but fully evolved starter pokemon i gotta say has to be greninja. Throw in a shiny and greninja literally becomes a ninja. Thats like every kids dream 😂
I did, probably not as much as I should have and would often forget to reoil the wheel since I got a much cheaper cutting tool. That is good information to know though.
I feel like it's obvious that he needs a sweet pair of stained glass sunglasses. Squirtle Squad FTW!
Lamp with base seems like the best way to finish the project into a nice display piece
i love this channel
We all should it's beautiful
Im just grateful that this guy exist
As a stained glass artist, I highly approve of your methods and execution. I’ve had that same issue with different glasses not cutting the same. I feel your pain and love your work.
Dudes production quality is insane for a channel so small
A carved wooden base with some green stained glass tall grass (say that five times) around it would look awesome! Also think you should consider two smaller solid black rectangles for the eyes/pupils
Imagine making the Porygon pokémon like this
That is a really good idea
The OG Squirtle has glasses ,and putting a light would make that glass pop even more .. 😍😍
I think I speak for everyone when I say. Put a light in it! I mean that was the whole reason for watching the build.
I just found your channel and watched all your videos last night, so I was so very excited to see the notification this morning! All your projects look amazing and your videos are very entertaining!
You should put sunglasses on him for his eyes!
yep, I'm gonna need one of these.
Really cool video, as always. I think it would be pretty cool if you made maybe like a wooden base and put a light inside
The only 3D stained glass I've seen before was a lamp shade, so this is pretty neat. It would definitely look cool lit up too.
What a gem of a channel that I seriously hope pops off. The thoughtful and humorous dialogue, the transitions and the overall interesting and well executed projects just had me watch 3 of your videos in a row. I'm really happy I found this channel and hope you find a ton more success, as you are very talented.
Hell yeah, your stuff is fucking crazy! Definetly clicking every notification i see.
I think the eyes would be awesome as just the normal oval squirtle eyes. Crazy piece man love it good work!!
Absolutely awesome. Eyes and lighting excellent ideas
The final product almost seems like CGI its perfect :D. Also I very recently typed out every single pokemon, I am too, an empty shell of nothingness. You seriously need to keep this up, I love everything you make and i almost ~~steal~~ take inspiration from all your projects too!
Lamp sounds great.
this is so cool
Should've squirtle squad themed him. Put the sunglasses on him. But super awesome build!
LAMP! When I was a kid (like little little in the 90’s) my brother and I had these amazing stain glass desk lamps. A whale and a tortoise. Idk what happened to them but this brought back so many memories
You are brave!!! And wow wow wow!!! Love him!!!!!
He needs a base and a light!!! 😊😊😊
Oh man a tile cutter would have done you WONDERS. The hand score-ers are exactly what you're recreating here but by hand xD
For the eyes, i think a triangle would fit much better as the usual image og squirtle we have is smiling, but another idea could be the squirtle with glasses from the anime, i think that would work very well with the build given the glasses simple size.
I thought about building some detachable glasses for him but I ended up not finding a good black for it that I liked, I love that idea though.
Imo, better no eyes at all
Just discovered this channel and I am absolutely obsessed
Ngl this is amazing my dude
i think some kind of trapezoid would be sick for the eyes so he looks a little bit angry love how this project turned out
I think this would be really cool if you added lights inside of it. A lifesized Squirtle lamp!
Love your videos, sharing as much as I can
h-h-how do you only have 16k subs? This is insane
Ikr it’s ridiculous
Fr, i wish he had more
MAKE HIM INTO A LIGHT! 🤩
How is this not a viral video🤯 just found from Reddit. Superb.
I really wanna do this myself now !
you should make a cool water looking base for it that houses electronics for lighting it all up
I think it would look so cool lit up! Also attaching it to a wooden base might make it less likely to dive off a table someday
This video definitely deserves way more views
This is masterpiece dude👏
This is awesome!
squirtle stan. acceptable ! i'm partial to a good bulbasaur myself.

honestly so under rated this channel is a hidden jem I wish you much greater success which you deserve 🙌

@@Ideal_Idea I myself would love that, been getting super inspired by your work.
I love this channel and guy and everything he makes.

That is cool. Great job.
This is incredible! Found through the inspiration you gave to Jazza, so happy to be here!
awesome man. put a light and a nice base to hold it and you have a masterpiece. congrats
Good Job
Amazing.
Amazing project and video as always
Its rly cool to see you working with a new/unconventional material in every video (may it be sawdust, stained glass or cool methods to "draw") and your video editing is top notch

God please get this guy famous he's just soo awesome 🤯🙏
My first pokemon game was leafgreen. I picked Squirtle as my first ever pokemon. Now im a fire type person. But will always love the squirtle line
So cool
LEEEEE GOOOOOOOOOOO VIDEOSSSSSSS
Please don’t get discouraged by view counts i really enjoy your content!
Thats inspiring! Im glad i found your channel
This is so cool, i hope your channel gets more traction.
ROTATING BASE! Or turn him into a fountain.
The eyes are perfect.
Your channel is perfect.
Keep making content! You are destined for greatness.
that was so sick, thanks for letting yourself cook ♥
My Sister wants 1 of these 😅
this guy is amazing
keep up the good work
Well based on my username here, I agree with you that Squirtle is the best starter. The EDITS to sound of cutting glass to the beat of the music was so great.
So cool! You always impress
For the base yeah lighting could look really interesting assuming the glass still let’s a good amount through
Def could use rectangular irises too to add some life to his eyes. Adding a low brightness light would probably look awesome.
Just found your channel, I love this
Wow
I was looking for tutorial on 3D stained glass and found your video ! You are funny ahaha and I always wanted to have my own pokemon too ! Oh and I learned what I wanted to learn about 3D stained glass so thank you ☺👍👍
Incredible job...I'd definitely build a base with 3 LEDs for the light to shine up into it.😊👍
A nice wooden base with some leds would tie it together nicely in my opinion.
This Is sooo good, you deserve much more views
This is amazing!!!! I love the project, love the material, love the editing of the video. This would look fantastic as a giant lamp!
This is soooo cool only thing I suggest is make the eyes white or just make them circle maybe and for the base he should sit on a wave or water
This video quality is worthy of a million subs and a verification
You could make the eyes like the squirtle from the original video game, I reckon the pixels would be pretty easy to translate onto the sculpture. Great vid btw
I love this channel
very nice. now let's see Paul Allen's stained glass pokemon

My dear man, You... are... Wrong... Charmander for the win!
Amazing video! liked it a lot!
Looking forward to what you are going to do with your desk.
Try a light I think it will look amazing also love the determination to get your projects done keep it up 👍
bro i just stumbled on your terrarium video and im watching another vid bc you have a great editing style and vibe. i looked at how many subs you had and was legit shocked af you dont have at least a mil+
I don't think it'd be a good lamp, but I'd still love to see it lit from inside. Maybe with a programmable LED strip.
1,000,000,000% make a grass lands style base maybe team up with north of the border and get his input on it as he dose this kinda stuff, would love too see some rgb lights in there maybe alexa contoled so you can say alexa make squirtle angry and maybe the lights turn red, you could also desauder the mouth part and resin print a water blast.

get 2 led bases for him to stand on ...and you could then make the light any color you want ...supper cheep to

I think no eyes would look fine. It’s a low poly, low detail piece so it’s pretty stylized already
amazing work, recently found your channel and subscribed immediately!
Squirtle gang sunglasses!
You should cut vinyl stickers for the eyes. And definitely have him lit from the inside.
in terms of starter pokemon squirtle may be considered as coolest STARTER pokemon but fully evolved starter pokemon i gotta say has to be greninja. Throw in a shiny and greninja literally becomes a ninja. Thats like every kids dream 😂
i have a question... did you use cutting oil? dry cuts are more likely to not end up straigt or have bad edges.
I did, probably not as much as I should have and would often forget to reoil the wheel since I got a much cheaper cutting tool. That is good information to know though.
@@Ideal_Idea no problem. What i also do is cut from top to bottom. And also don't cut the same line twice it will hurt the wheel on you glascutter
Wow!
a nice wooden base and a light would be great.
Light him up... light him up...
