Thats one of these intense kits back in the god old days when Dragon was good :) Nice to see you building this giant box of a Tiger tank! These workable tool clamps are nuts.

These are very nice kits. They were state of the art when they first came out and I think they are still state of the art. I've built one of them and will someday get around to the other two initial Tiger I's in the stash.

This is very handy for me as I have had this kit waiting for me for about ten years on the shelf. In fact I left any sort of modelling for best part of a decade then when I start again I find this is the Dragon one everybody rates! In the mean time I bought 2 Rye Field Tigers to practise doing before so I would do it justice. I sold the MagicTracks it came with and have already made some Kaizen ones, which are great, but sadly can't seem to get anymore.

Excellent review Evan. Tigers are tough, there’s too many experts out there and you really have to do your research... as you did, to get things right. I wish Dragon would have kept all the aftermarket stuff in the kits. Dragon just isn’t the same and they’re pricing themselves out of the plastic market while other companies give you more for less in some cases. I’ll have to build one on my channel one of these days, I have a couple on the stash. 👍🏼
Yep, that’s what I’m talking about. Dragon, Tamiya etc are not value added anymore. Mind you, I do love me some new Tamiya when I can afford it. It’s hard to beat the engineering.🙂

Hi, mate im just away to start my Dragon kit i got the lennongrad box art with the tiger white wash n pnzr 4 bin lucky there is a nice boack box with the PE Grills in this kit and afew other goodies, it is also a 3 in 1 kit it has 3 sets of exhausts the cut down set aswell in it! It does come with 3 boxed stripped DS tracks to make normal or the mirror but thanks to my 3D printer I've printed a nice set for it and just about everything else for it haha! I do have the RFM aswell but think these 3D printed sprokets will need to be used for that kit I'm not sure yet, I've not looked at the parts yet but there such cool Tiger's aren't they! 6600 smart kit
I've been picking up the 2022 re relise's Dragon are pushing out like made just now I got the new re relised Direct vision sherman yesterday it's come with beautiful magic tracks same as every new re relised 2022 kit some have the oG card my Vorpanzer kit had it all! Dragon have FINALLY SCRAPPED DS Tracks! Oh thank you model gods! Haha! Out the 7 new kit's I've bought this month all Magic tracks! I've just built Tamiyas new A34 comet it's really nice fitting kit but needs a power of mods as usual formidable hands and redoing the wiring etc! Afv clubs new AVRE is fantastic quite alot of new tools sprues there is 2 turrets in box one the old light green ones amd the new tooled dark green one you see the difference in them and they have also done away with the rubber tyre's from every centurion kit they have added plastic tyre's on a sprue now! No more rubber!

So to build this kit go for kit 6600 smart kit it has the 3 different exhaust extensions and deep wading also nice black box of PE for engine deck etc when i bight my kit cheap as chips i did not even realise it was a 3 in kit lol i went and bought RFMs one to do this kit from but Everything is there to build 100 seeming better than tiger 100s own boxed kit thats crazy eh!

Just looking at my RFM kit it has type.A and type.B for tow cables up top deck on type B tiger 100 and on Both the Crowbar is mounted this should be interesting lol why i love your video's ill go over my 6600 kit and see what thats saying now

I love your video reviews and tips. You do such clean work, the photo etch looks great. Photo etch has always been my nemesis, as i have a pronounced tremor in my hands...it always ends up adhered to my clumsy fingertips, or sloppily positioned and drowning in over application of ca glue.....makes me unleash angry litany of profanities it frustrates me so.
Square PE one's for the early front fenders isn't it or is that only DAK Tiger's? I'll need to double check that again refresh the memory bank
as got this kit I'm sure it's one of there needs 2022 re relises not sure though but I've been buying them up soon as they hit the shelves as as DS tracks are now gone there all magic tracks in the new re relised boxes and some with the OG cards! I got the RFM Tiger one to see the differences! Also Looking forward to RFMs new Tiger 1 to see how they have done this Zimmerit!
Hello. Please tell me what colors oil paints (for example, paint company Wilder) need for tinting models of tanks. Colors must have so to speak. The necessary minimum that is needed for the equipment of any nation? Thank you.
Hi mate, I was wanting to ask you are the wheels accurate on this kit? As there is correction sets to print for the early there is 2 small holes in the middle and the correction set has 4? I dug out my rfm kit of 100 and it has these 4 holes aswell and the flat bolts on top of cupla that tiger 1 info talks about I'm building kit 6600
Great review Evan, and a really clean build..if I had attempted those rear mudguards I'm sure they'd be crusted in CA glue lol. Is this an opportunity for you to do another full weathering video, this time for panzer grey tanks? Your Pz IV C videos were quite a while ago, and your technique has evolved quite a bit since then.
+Bruce The Model Noob I am actually currently finishing up a full weathering video on Panzer Grey, but it's featuring the StuIG 33B. This Tiger will get a series of shorter videos looking at each weathering step rather than the full hour long video...just switching things up and maybe people will like that format more.

From what I remember, the very initial batch of tigers didn’t have the vent grills.
+neiswestnij there are photographs that prove otherwise.
I have not had a chance to watch all of your videos yet but can you tell me is there a way to simulate a round from an enemy that had hit and exploded but just left cosmetic or just some surface damage? I think that would be an awesome effect. Thanks to anyone who can answer this!

So you need aftermarket grill covers in PE, what are you going to use?
I bought the Aber grill screens for my Tiger ! kits.
A few different companies make the PE grills. I believe I orders the set from Aber.
Do we get to see it painted and weathered ?
Yes, I will be starting painting this one soon for a buddy build with Tankbrusher.

Just got my hands on this same kit. I never knew Tiger I's didn't have radiator grills?
Oh they all did. Dragon left them off the kit. I ordered some aftermarket ones from Aber.
@@Panzermeister36 10/4. I thought so, this is the first Initial Production I've built so I figured I better research it. Just ordered a set of Aber's myself. I have a few other grill sets at home and maybe one of those would work, but I figured as a back up I'd better just order the set made for this kit.
