Re-watching Aug 2022. I bought one of these Apr 2017 as a leftover. Best bike I've ever owned, needs a flash, 42T sprocket and Adjustable Rearsets to make it perfect. The factory pegs are way to high for anyone I know, so once that was sorted, we were off. Bike Dynoed 192RHWP, stock exhaust, flash (Blipper Enabled), K&N Filter, MENTAL! The suspension and Brakes are second to none, just have to bleed them with a Mityvac, or else there will ALWAYS be air in the ABS. Speaking of ABS, non-intrusive, you can do small stoppies with it on. Absolute Weapon on trackdays.
I have 2017 ZX10R in matt fusion silver. Unbelievable machine and I’ve never looked back. Recommend it to anyone. Absolute rocket !!
The 2017 Kawasaki ZX-10R is an awesome bike for street and track and it doesn't need a fancy tft screen to prove it ! I think for what you get and the price , it's the best purchase of a motorcycle I have made !
If you're worried about your bike making weird noises you should steer clear of the Ducati bikes... one stopped next to me at a light and I freaked out because I thought something horrible was happening on my bike with that awful dry clutch they have :P
but they are super reliable since volkwagen got them
I now live in California and thought I recognized my old home town. Nice to see Bournemouth from a bikers point of view again.

My favourite Kwak is my E1 Zx9r,... Apart from 3000,RPM TOWN work carb issue, The 9R is an awesome CHEAP sports tourer, that does 180, 45mpg, and affordable consumable.
A keeper and future sort after bike
I'm a big Kawasaki fan never owned a 1000 but had two Zx6r's 2010 and 2011 loved both but I especially love this 2016 model especially in this colour scheme 😍 but i definitely agree Kawasaki should definitely have updated the dash it certainly does look dated compared to the new R1 and Suzuki Gsxr 1000 but that said id still have one all day long..... another good review chop 👏👏

i love how u bring up the price point.... because whenever i see comparisons they seem to forget that the ducati or other bikes are so bloody expensive for that price u could replace everything on this bike to WSB standards... derp

Its a serious thing of beauty and goes like a coked up christy mack! Got to love the Zx10r I adore the 2008 model and wouldnt upgrade to the next model up, but I would definitely purchase the 2016 model in a heartbeat 👌 fine review young sir 👍
+Bulldog Badger Yeah agree think the 2016 is a fair bit better than the old model, pretty too for sure. Also once the exhaust is changed its going to really sing as its very restrictive due to the euro rubbish on it. But cant imagine how quick its going to be then!!!
Tried the new ZX10 out today. Completely agree, I couldn't quite believe actually how fast that thing is! Above 8000 it turns into an animal, but yet the engine seems so much more refined than before. That with a full system to free up that noise ;) now that is a sweet sounding package
Glad you agree Rocko, great bit of kit isn't it. I found It fast but also easy to ride with amazing brakes and awesome handling . Shh your making me want to do something silly and buy one!

Nice review there pal. My only concern with most new bikes this very much included, is the bits that aren't so good like you mentioned, the screen the top yoke etc. That might not be enough to stop you buying it, but then it would start to annoy the crap outta me an everything need changing. So I would rather stump up more and get more quality. And also, I'd love to see that bike when it's the same age as my Blade, and we can see how good it looks and feels then! Oh, and I do need a quickshifter, lol

please explain more about the smooth ride of the bike. The zx14r is the smoothest bike I every been on. almost felt like riding on air.

How are you liking your x-lite carbon helmet (x-802rr i belive) ? I'm thinking about getting one myself as they are really cheap compared to other top of the range CF helmets.
It's fantastic Thom highly recommend getting one, really comfy. Only criticism is it's a little noisy being a race helmet but perfectly acceptable.

I watched your S1000RR review and I've been intrigued by this. Which would YOU have in your garage out of the two for 99% road use?
That's a great question! I would need to try the S1000rr again before making a decision but it's a very close call.. The ZX10 would be as fast by the time you remove all the euro4 emissions rubbish and change the exhaust. I prefer the looks of the ZX10 but no downshift blipper which the RR has.. Oh I don't know very hard... No I think ZX10 as would worry about BMW build quality long term think the Kwack has the edge there but very hard choice between them!
I would love to have that bike in my arsenal lol looked like it stopped on a dime! I'll get one in the future for sure
+The Muscle Biker yeah was very impressed with the power of the brakes, not that sharp though when you first pull but builds up very well. Go and try one you will love it!

Nice video. I was shocked to learn that in my country this bike brand new stock out of the box costs about 1000 pounds more than a Ducati Panigale 1299S :/

the only thing im not fond of is the gauge.. wish they went tft screen like from the new r1,panigale. but the rest of the specs are top notch, brembo m50s showa wsbk spec forks. looking for a new bike and this bike is in my scope. should i wait for the upcoming cbr?
I think the CBR won't be out until mid next year and could be expensive as looking like a v4 from what I've heard.. ZX10 is certainly good value and quick! Exhaust change is supposed to free up big bhp too as looses the euro4 crap!
yeah, have u gotten a slip on or full sys yet? does a slip on eliminate that huge cat below? ruins the line of the bike imo. btw what was your previous bike before u got the zx10? and how was it compared in terms of weight.

I'm getting my first bike in 2 months, which is a Ninja 650, then 3 years later when the finance is done, get a 636, then in 3 years when the finance is done get a zx-10r :) and just love all 3 of them.
But my plan has 1 flaw....I love the look of the Daytona 675r sooooo much....that i might get one of those at my 600 ish bike and never need another bike...

I bought a Ninja 650, trying to be sensible (after years of 4 cylinder sports bikes). I hated it, but kept it for 5 years (never rode it). Now got a ZX6R and love it. But now thinking I should have bought a ZX10R 😆
@@MyMednas Well, I had my 650 until the finance was up then I happened to get a job that paid 3 times what I was earning at the time, so I got a Suzuki Burgman 650 for commuting and later bought a 370z Nismo :)
Repost RR5 on 06 plate. The only bug was fuelling at low rpm. That sorted with PC111, filters, exhaust, Tenkate stacks and air box. Apart from that there are no gripes that bug me, and that is why I've owned the bike since new! 😜😜
Oh nice, want the later 06 head for my engine in the blade. I want the stacks also hehe, that must have caused the issues low down?
+Lamb Chop Rides actually just the power commander can iron out the fuelling issue, but I was like, in for a penny!! Spins the rear in 5th with a duff 2ct Michelin on. Oops.

+darren foran very good question Darren, for me I enjoy the torque of the Superduke more than the outright speed of the Zx10. I also find the riding position on sport bikes just to extreme, I think you sacrifice to much comfort for little gain over a real nice naked like the Superduke which is still very fast and handles extremely well. It really comes down to personal preference 👍
yeah that's the dilemma I'm in,im buying in January I know id enjoy the ktm more and it would be kinder on the bones but that kwak is a stunner !! id have the tuono but not one dealer in Ireland ,great reviews by da way !

So ive recently purchased the 2016 zx10r winter edition, my overall review of the bike is that is is very nimble and comfortable to ride but has been very boring down low in power, compared to my yamaha r1 15 that is brutal and such a fun bike. Might consider trading in the zx :/
The R1 is the same, lacks low down power.
Just change the sprockets. The zx 10 r is geared much higher than the others. Reviews the differences in the sprocket ratios of all the litrebikes

217 miles now and I have now found it will loft on a crest in 5th at 5k,god knows what its gonna be like when I can use the full rev range LOL
