    I like that you are not trying to lie like the other reviewers that are stating that this bike is entirely new, instead you are saying like it really is, an improved zx10r. good job :D

    I respect you guys for not kissing a manufactures ass, just because they've invited you to a super exclusive launch. so many other magazines and channels really dial back the valid criticisms just to ensure they get invited back next year.

    So I'm a pretty tall guy about 6'8" I haven't had time to sit on one and check how comfortable it is. How is the comfort level? compared to the other bikes you've guys have been on(2015-2017). I do agree the bar is set pretty high to contend with but with the price tag of 16,000 i think we get alot of good upgrades for that price, they kept the middle guys price tag in mind. good video guys!!!!!!

    Seems like a killer platform. Stock is always soft in the initial reviews. Throw on some aftermarket goodies on all the new bikes and the reviews would be super, super interesting.

    Very well done video, you guys always have the best content. Seems like if I'm going to be spending that kind of cash on a new sportbike, why not go for the RSV4? The exclusiveness of an Aprilia and that screaming V4 make it so much more appealing to me, not to mention the better electronics styling and finish (imo).

    • @Cobfan990
      @Cobfan990 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Matt KOCONUT "That kind of money?" There is a huge price gap between an RSV4 and a ZX10R, not to mention further work on the ZX10R's performance (and asthetics) will cost a lot less

    I was speaking to a salesman at my local dealer about this new zx10r, he said is was the same as the older zx10 with new fairings and new decals, said it wasnt worth buying it new as its so similar to the old model, not much of a salesman i know but i appreciate his honesty

    Great video! Love that we get plenty of action shots of the bike, and even when they are talking about it, they are riding it! I hate those videos where its some guy standing next to a bike mouthing off the whole time--I want to see the bike in action!

    With the emission & noise levels required by the government stock bike comparisons show little in common with bikes with a ecu re-flash & exhaust system destriction. My friends 2015 R1 picked up massive power increase with ecm tuned reflash & exhaust change.

    I'm the happy owner of a 2016 ZX-10R in the Philippines. Is it the best superbike on the market? Maybe, maybe not, but that doesn't matter because it's the best value for money option by a mile in this country. Local prices converted to USD: Yamaha R1 - $21,275; BMW S1000RR - $27,660; Ducati 1299 Panigale S - $41,900; Kawasaki ZX-10R KRT - $17,445. Needless to say, it's an easy decision unless you've got money burning a hole in your pocket.

  • @swish1onu
    @swish1onu 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here are my issues with reviews... you can't "complain" about features that are adjustable... if it rides too soft, or you don't feel confident in corners, these are things that can be remedied with a quick alteration in setting or new set of tires... You have issue with the brakes, but keep in mind this is a street bike first and foremost since this is what most riders will be using it for... So to have brakes that are too "strong" may not be the best when sudden emergency braking is more likely in a commuter situation, and if your brakes are too sensitive, your more likely to take a spill after grabbing too much brake.

    The tested ZX-10R in Sepang has smaller rear sprocket. That's why you felt it's not so fast.

  • @yashinnil5047
    @yashinnil5047 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    That intro was nice ! U guys planned that out pretty well..from the states to sepang , good job. =)
    Like many other readers though.. I am curious. We all know that a few Japanese manufacturers restrict their open class superbikes severely(specially the zx10r ) so its feel a little unfair when comparing against unrestricted bikes like the 1299 and the S1000RR .
    Any new owner would surely have restricting their bike (ECU flash)at the very top of their mod list and its a pretty cheap fix too. hope you guys can address this ..wont be easy . maybe have two zx10r one stock from the manufacturer and one from a very kind owner whose only mod was un restricting the ecu? i know i know more bikes means more testing and more tires . =/
    Good luck guys cant wait to see the 2016 shoot out!

    Hahaha I like the ending. As much as I want to like the Kawasaki the no power below 9k bothers me for a liter bike. I've heard mixed reviews for the brakes so I won't count that. Other than that it's a solid bike for the price. Still waiting for what Suzuki's new 1000 has to offer in terms of performance and track-ability... Thanks for the review.

  • @Candesce

    Almost seems like the 2016 ZX10R is a cheap (for Kawasaki to design and produce I mean) filler generation for Kawasaki to keep their head in the game while at the same time preceding a large change. Maybe that large change is of the supercharged variety. Don't get me wrong, I've got one of these in the garage, but it's interesting to think about.

    Please tell me, 2016 ZX10R is a good bike for daily usage in a city?
    I wanna buy it, but I'm in a perfect dilemma between S1000RR (May be 2012 or more) and 2016 ZX10R...
    Key words as;
    "Mid-Range Cruising with bags" (mean comfort, and rearguard comfort ;) )
    and "Big City usage"
    Give your offers plz.
    Take Care...

    Some of the issues can be rectified with software revisions which is nice (drive-by-wire throttle and traction control at the least) so it will be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few years. The brakes were surprising, those things look almost comically large for not being substantially better.
    Too bad it's taller, since I'm not :-/ great video though!

    • @SteveC-Shaman
      @SteveC-Shaman 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +John Hatchell I chose neither, I bought a RSV4 RF. IMHO the S1000RR steers like a truck compared to the other two and while I respect the R1s performance, there's already been two full recalls on the bike and styling-wise it looks like someone hit a catfish with a shovel (personal opinion). There's more to a bike than the last 1,000 RPM on a tach and IMHO that is pretty much all the S1000RR offers for excitement... which you'll just about never use without risking your license; the rest of the time it's practically a sport-tourer compared. Then again, I will have ridden 40 years this fall, and so it takes a pretty special bike to be enthused by it.

    The zx10r gen5 can get a whopping 40hp increase with a ecu flash and exhaust system and is the only super bike as of 2018 that can do it! I'm sorry thats for the US based bikes only.as the Euro bikes and such are not restricted apparently! Visit guhls Motorsports if you don't believe me they had one on the dyno and it got an average of something like 30hp gain after ecu work and exhaust and a top gain of 40hp way up at the end of the run/rpms. I own one and can't wait to flash it!! Very uncomfortable bike though I will say, every time I ride it I'm bitching to my girlfriend who rides her own bike how much pain I'm in! Lol. Very very fast though . Oh btw EJR performance, look them up he has a gen5 ZX10R amf he literally beats every bike who races him and his engine is stock, just the flash and some of his other touches he does to the bike. I'm telling you all it's the baddest bike out there right now!!

    weird that you say it is not the most powerfull of the bunch. where i live there is a professiomal race garage that saus that even the latest R1m, duc and bmw never had the horsepower adventage over the old zx10r. let stand the new one. the thing is and always has been that the ninja always has been taller geared then its competitors. and hearing Ari scream on the track means it has the power over al the other because i never saw him scream on other superbikes. wel that is my opinion

      i know, but the only ones that aren't as biased are the magazines here in my country, they had an article about the small sportbikes, and they said honestly they tought alot about the rc390 and it did good but they said that the ninja 300 is still the one for track days and the best for comuting, the chassis was forgiving enough to make a mistake or two each lap and still not lose time, while the ktm was punishing you for the mistake, they also said it was to bad for the honda because of the lack in power, because overall it is a great bike, and the r3 they tought also highly of wasn't what they tought it would be

      +MrPninja This review wasn't biased. You are the biased one and even your name says ninja.

    It's funny how everyone says a lot of bikes have a low seat height and I'm over here 5 feet 6 inches tall (169cm) ... fuhhh

    Can anyone tell me exactly what Frost Arai helmet that is...? I'm pretty sure it's a "Defiant", but I cant find the design anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks fellas.

      +Zack Courts I'm new to 600s and am between a newer ZX-6r 636 and a R6. I've always been a Honda supporter, but they haven't really upgraded their 600rr's power, and I'm not the biggest fan of their new styling. I know the GSX-R 600 is solid, but the Suzuki's front facia is tough to look at imo, even though I love their new graphics. Any input on the bike to buy in that size catagory would be greatly appreciated. I'm extremely curious in helmets right now as well. ...I know you know about what helmet would be best for day-to-day commuting and occassional track and spirited riding use. Would you recommend the Arai Defiant, as you have on in the video, the Arai RX-Q, or the Shoei RF-1200 (Terminus (great graphic)). I appreciate any advice, Zack. Thanks bud!
