Its actually the Ultramarines. Their Chief Librarian sensed Titus was there and they sent forces to retrieve him. But there were more Deathwatch forces present and some were evacuated after their missions so he still could have left either miraculously surviving or interred in a Dreadnought.

The cutscenes where he is parenting the orphans are so fucking wholesome because he is the BEST dad ever. Plus he also routinely curb-stomps people’s teeth out. They are fantastic games with an amazing story.

Meh, I found the game to be a little on the easy side. The only thing that made Angel of Death "difficult" were the shotgun nids because their full shot would one shot you if you got close. Everything else seemed pretty well balanced.

Titus as served for 300 hundreds years. 200 as Ultra until become a Captain (second higher rank), and then 100 in the Death Watch (so without adding new stud, sadly) Rubicon is a chirurgie to make "old way" space marine in the "new and improved Primaris" (2,5 m to 3 m and more organes implants and cleaner DNA therapy) The skull guy is a Chaplain. Basically a priest with the duty to be sure no one is compromise from Chaos or "bad way to think", and in the same time take car of the mental health and good mood in the Company (100 fighters + war machine drivers + eventual dreadnought + techmarine => around 120/150 real number of Space Marine final) The little guys in basic red robes are chapter serfs. Normals humans or failled aspirants SM workers. The mechanized ugly without robes are servitors. Lobotomized poor guys, because "AI is bad and humans brains are cheap and easy" to make them tools. Sadly sometimes, parts of who they were remain and it's absolute horror to live like that.

Ironically the Emperor didn't want to be worshiped as a god, he wanted humanity to follow logic, science and rationalism but he ended in a super coma after a fight and the Imperium with time devolved into a zealous fanatic religion over him. In 40k there aren't AI (outlawed due an AI rebellion thousands of years ago) so criminals and people deemed worthless are lobotomized and turn into "computers" or "automatons". Everything in this universe is very dark, bleak, callous and grim, humanity fights for survival against countless enemies and can't spare any empathy. The studs in his forehead are his years of servitude as a Space marine. If I remember correctly each gold stud means 100 years (or 50 years)
