The studs in Titus’ (and others’) heads are service studs. One for every century of service. Space marines are effectively immortal, they serve until they eventually get slow and die in battle, but they do not die from old age. Or, rather, no space marine has lived long enough to die from old age.
Small correction but silver studs like Titus' actually represent 50 years each. Titus has been fighting for over 200 years. The years of service a stud represents depends on the faction using it and material it's made of.
Don't feel bad. The service studs lore we had before this game was limited to 3 different chapters with 3 different sets of representation per color. It was Dark Angels: Gold = 100 years, Silver = 50 years. Soul Drinkers: Silver = 10 years. Chaplancy: Ebony = 10 years. Crazier Calgar has only 2 gold service studs in this very game, but Titus has 4 studs (that are either gold or silver in yellow lighting all the time). Clearly Clagar is the older, but Studs imply they're either the same age if going by Dark Angels and Titus having Silver studs in yellow lighting. However if Titus has gold studs then WTF. Lol. Anyways Calgar has had the same two studs since the 90s. Clearly they just never updated his studs in 30+ years. However we do know Calgar was chapter master in 745.M41 so presumably was in the Ultramarines at least 50 if not 100 years before that. However he can't be over 500 because that's the age of the oldest Ultramarine who teases Calgar that he is young for a Chapter Master... especially compared to Lord Dante at 1,600 years of age. But yeah, 40k has plotholes because like any multi author franchise they don't always line up in their lore.
In Horus Hersy books described 1 Astartes who died from old age. He was a dreadnought and bro of Barbados Dantioch. He suffered attack from xenos temporal weapons. His age as a result was approximately 5 millions years
@@LUCYJROBYNjust a friendly tip, don't rush in a group of Tyranids, just move backwards faster, until some one or two of Tyranids will approach you faster than the rest. Then block those few Tyranids that approach you then attack. The ideal goal is to have one on one fight with the Tyranids in quick time because others will approach you immediately. By the way your are already good in your gameplay and you are quick learner😊.
"These creatures shouldn't be shooting." Technically they aren't lol. Their 'guns' are actually smaller Tyranids that when stimulated shoot out even smaller Tyranids as projectiles. All Tyranid weaponry and even vehicles are biological in function.
@@LUCYJROBYNwhat they are shooting are flesh eating bugs, traveling at extreme velocity. I'll leave what they do to an unprotected biological target to your imagination 😬
As someone that's been into Games Workshop since the late 80's....I'm glad I'm living in the future. This is the sort of shit I imagined when playing with figures and dice, so good.
If you were wondering about why Sarkaana called Titus "My Lord" and why all the Cadians/Imperial Guard were bowing, the space marines are called The Emperor's Angels or the Angels of Death. They're essentially considered akin to demigods because they're absurdly powerful super soldiers. And no, not related to the Alien Universe. "Xenos" is a classification for any race that isn't human. (Think Xeno in Xenophobia)
I swear, the game just looks so gorgeous with Intricate details to look at. That atmosphere, attention to detail, setting and presentation. Even the colour balance is on point with saturation and contrast.
This was fantastic, love the enthusiasm and clearly you have a lot of experience with various games/movies in the fantasy/sci-fi genre. 40k is pretty massive as I'm sure you're starting to see. There's a lot to love about it, and this is a fantastic game to showcase some of it.
Tyranids (tirranids) have the same motivation as reapers. They exist to just eat everything on a planet, including eventually each other! The bio sludge is then sucked up into the hive fleet and used to make other tyranids. Then they move on to other planets. They aren't from this galaxy and the terrifying thing is that they have entered the galaxy from every direction meaning that our galaxy may well be surrounded completely by tyranid hive fleets!
The tyranids also snuff out the warp the more of them there are. Meaning, after they wipe out everything in the galaxy, and make no mistake, it's only a matter of time before they do, even the chaos gods will die.
@@LUCYJROBYNThe Hive Mind also bases new strains off new genetic material it learns of, like the Tyrant Guard being based off Space Marines while the Zoanthropes and Neurothropes are based off the Eldar. And as j9lorna said, they re-absorb their own dead to re-use the material, during a Tyranid invasion it’s a very real possibility that you’ll kill the same creature several times in different forms. Also, the swarms of tiny Rippers is their main method of collecting biomass. Also-also, I get the impression you REALLY don’t want to know the details of their guns.
@Lord_Numpty ah yes. The guns. I still have the very first White Dwarf that describes Kryptmann's discovery when a trusted associate make the mistake of picking one up. Very gross.
Best part is the ones they are fighting at the moment are probably only the scouting parties. The main fleet of the tyranids has yet to reach the galaxy
40k is the most off the walls bonkers violent dark and depressing universe in all of fiction. If you ask a starwars or star trek fan if they would like to live in those stories universes they would enthusiastically across the board all say yes. If you ask any 40k fan if they would like to live in that universe you would get an across the board enthusiastic absolutely not answer.
Warhammer 40k can essentially be summed up as: "Everything is awful, and you will die horrible." The Imperium is a corrupt, rotting theocracy, kept afloat solely by its massive size and inexhaustible armies. The Emperor would weep is he saw the Imperium as it is now; he wanted to create an enlightened golden age for humankind, and he repeatedly stated that he was NOT a God (although frankly he was so powerful he may as well have been). But the moment he "died", the church took power, elevated him to godhood, and declared that anyone who didn't worship him was a heretic. There new Imperial Regent is showing some signs that he might pull humanity back from the brink. And, even if the Imperium can never become what the Emperor envisioned, it can at least become better. The Regent is one of the very few living beings that knew the Emperor personally, and understood his designs. But for the most part the Imperium and the Imperial cult are too far gone; the Emperor's divine status probably can't be contradicted at this point (indeed, the Regent is himself worshiped as a quasi-God himself, as the Emperor's surviving son). You can't unmake 10'000 years of religious zealotry.
Hey, thanks for the great content. Love your views and impressions on something so beloved and yet so unknown by the majority. Immensely impressed by your dedication to perfect melee attacks too... but don't forget the Emperor has bestowed upon you weapons of such devastating ranged power as well. Thin the unholy xenos threat out with blessed bolter-fire when at range. "I am blood, I am steel, I am the forgiveness of God and the vengeance of angels."
I gotta be That Guy: technically Astartes aren't religious as such as they worship no god and admittedly this is a very fine distinction but in the lore GW are very careful to state that Chaplains are the "spiritual" guides for their Marines, religiousness is never applied to them. It's a very important element that separates the Adeptus Astartes from the Ecclesiarchy: because every single Space Marine can trace their genetic makeup from themselves to their Primarch to the Emperor directly they venerate him as the immortal apex of Mankind, but not a god. Same goes for the Adeptus Custodes. The other arms of the Imperial military (Imperial Guard/Militarum, Adepta Sororitas, Adeptus Mechanicus, etc) all absolutely worship The Emperor as a god in their own ways. With very few exceptions, Marines do not.
This game is so faithful to the setting. It looks fantastic and really nails the heroics of the Imperial Guard, the might of the Space Marines and the world-ending power of the Tyranids. The Gargoyle swarms overhead and the endless waves of Hormagaunts, you can really believe that worlds are consumed. Enjoy the play through!
Another recent 40k game that's worth a look is Rogue Trader. Totally different genre, it's a turn-based CRPG. It's every bit as brutal and grim though, because that's just life in the 42nd Millenium.
I decided to watch someone play through the game on my day off because I wanted to see someone else get to see it for the first time. With other games and this game countless people simply don't read the tutorials, or do and don't process ANY of it (I do that a lot myself actually 😂) or just almost refuse to learn how to play. Watching you parry the small enemies normal non-blue attacks made me reach my hands up in celebration because even people I play with just stand there and try and go toe to toe when they could just parry, I know I'm like 12 minutes into the video but just fantastic job it's just nice to see someone actually say "Hey wait...what if I try something else." Instead of slamming their head into a wall to try and make progress
If you really wanna go down the rabbit hole, it would be fun to see you react to some 40k lore videos. Bricky has that one very popular video that many people react to (every 40k faction explained), he’s very funny. There are many many games as well, it really just depends on your genre preferences. Love your content!
@@LUCYJROBYN Don't watch Bricky. So many of Bricky's lore videos have wrong parts in them, that if you know the lore like I do, you'll just get a headache. Also avoid Bricky's other channel, Adeptus Ridiculous. That has the same problems with his main channel, but it's also a comedy channel, and they don't do a good job distinguishing the jokey lore they came up with, with the legit lore they're talking about. Also, avoid Majorkill (who doesn't read the books and is considered a joke by 40k fandom), WesHammer (also inaccurate), the Templin Institute (who ironically considers lore unimportant despite being a lore channel, and says anyone who doesn't agree with him a mindless automaton, and a coward who backed down from a challenge he issued), and Oculus Imperia (who actively passes his headcanon off as the canon). Who you should follow is Luetin, The Amber King, Janovich, Arch, and The Pontius. Those guys are the best 40k lore channels.
@@TheBackseaterYT While it's true that Bricky skips over things and some of the lore is wrong - you really expect somebody who knows nothing about the universe to sit through hours long videos from Leutin? I love that channel, but come on lol, no need for this, or the entire Siege of Vraks series that isn't even finished yet by Janovich? Awesome content, but still, it's way too deep-end for a first timer. Do we want to get people into the universe or not? Bricky is an excellent starting point to grab you, get ya hooked, and then you deep dive into all the stuff you want to know and enjoy. It's not the end of the world.
Your first intro into Warhammer? You poor innocent lamb you 😂 You’re at the edge of the map friend, here there be monsters. I do suggest looking up the youtuber bricky for good intros to the lore
When a warrior is leading a swarm, always go for the warrior. Killing it would kill all nearby gaunts aswell because their synaptic link with the warrior is severed. A feedback of sorts. P.S you can toggle helmet visibility from the settings.
Oh yeah 40K is very British, at least with it's political satire, writing and accents. It's kind of like the 2000AD comics, Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper to name a few 2000AD titles that pre-dated 40K by a few years. It's gritty, dark, and brutal but also has a good amount of dark humour not taking itself too seriously. But over time it kind of lost it's self-awareness like alot of franchises yet you can still find examples. Warhammer 40000 - Boltgun (2023) is a fun retro "boomer" shooter filled with 80s cheese as a recent example.
40k is no longer satire and hasn’t been for a while, and I absolutely love that its changed and become more serious. It’s why i’ve invested so much time in the Universe. The heart wrenching stories, glorious moments, sacrifice, brotherhood, fatherhood, sonhood (if that’s even a word), it is honestly a beautiful Universe, albeit terrifying.
Oh lordy, 40k is such a huge lore and I mean it'd take you a VERY long time just to scratch the surface. And actually, you're not a "Chad" you are a monk. Genetically modified and surgically altered and in several inch thick ceremite armour with a weapon that fires self propelled rocket bullets. The Deathwatch comprises of individuals from different marine chapters who specialize in fighting xenos (aliens) and have state of the art equipment for doing that.
So, my guess as to why Titus' age is so difficult to discern is because his nature and age was intenionally masqued, first by the inquistion when they took him and second by the ultramarines (as Mr Chaplain tells you.) In the first game, Titus has two gold studs indicating two centuries of service and in the second he has 4 silver, indicating two centuries. Clearly, we know he isn't still two hundred or at least, he wasn't around ONLY two hundred years ago. The Lexicanum has revealed that Titus was imprisoned in Thrax's base for a century and then he served his century in the Deathwatch. So Titus is seemingly 400-450 years of age. The silver studs are meant to keep the ruse up for his privacy and the chapter's morale.
Welcome to 40k! Really enjoyed the original game, and the tabletop stuff is pretty neat(yet expensive). I'll have to hold off till I get a better PC to enjoy it, so I shall live vicariously through you and many others.
Reactions to Warhammer things does really well on TH-cam :) Astartes is a great fan-made short movie, there are a bunch of cool cinematic trailers, and you could watch a lore video covering Titus’ past?
Game is amazing. Story seems super fun and I've played the co-op operation a bit and that is also a blast. You pick between 6 classes; tactical, assault, vanguard (no biotic charge, but it does something similar with a grappling hook if that helps lol), bulwark, heavy, and sniper. Super fun when playing with people you know/in a team.
If you are interested in learning more of the 40k lore to see if it's a universe you'd be interested in playing more games in, I'd check out Bricky's Every Warhammer 40K Faction Explained videos. A bit long but very entertaining. Good react material as well.
Fun fact: A silver stud equals to 50 years of Space Marine service while gold is 100 years of service And if you ever see a dreadnought, that is actually a Space Marine that has severe damage long after combat, they can be hundred of years old while some over 10,000! There are different titans and knights, imperial knights have a big chain sword and a common or Gatling gun, while the biggest titan known as the Imperial Titans are like really big and they literally have a city on top of them, “have you ever heard the meme everyone gangsta till the church starts walking” Please correct me if I’m wrong!
You are broadly correct. :] There is no set standard for Astartes service studs as the time denoted by a stud varies by Chapter and the metal it's made from. Most Marines are well over 100 years old so if their age or length of service is referenced in the medium it can aid in working out which each stud means. Continuity between GW authors is notoriously bad so one author uses X studs for one story, another author doesn't research and editorial oversight is lacking so they use X studs for something else so it officially becomes "it varies". Dreadnoughts are highly valuable combat assets and living links to a Chapter's past so they are usually well looked after and kept shut down/asleep in stasis when not deployed. The vast majority of dreadnought pilots are nowhere near Heresy age (10,000 years) but a handful, like Bjorn of the Space Wolves, indeed are and are extra revered because they are some of the few living (technically) beings who were alive when the Emperor was up and about. The on/off effect of putting them in stasis can lead to some eccentricities where some ancient dreadnoughts still think that they're in the Heresy or immediate post-Heresy era due to being asleep for hundreds of years at a time. The newer Redemptor dreads are a bit different though as they only got introduced around 200 years ago max, plus they apparently burn out the pilot so the more notable old veteran Marines who are mortally wounded most likely don't get interred into a Redemptor out of respect and their Chapter wanting to retain them for their experience for as long as possible. Knights & Titans are quite different as you've pointed out, although some people still think they're the same thing (inc GW's marketing dept, tsk)...just remember that there's no such thing as a "Knight-Titan". There's Knights, which are effectively very large one-man suits of battle armour evolved from utilitarian mech suits used by noble warriors from Knight Worlds, and then there's Titans which are giant personifications of the Machanicum/Adeptus Mechanicus' Machine God, crewed by 4+ people and absolutely designed from the ground up for war and wrecking everything. There's different types of Knight & Titan each with differing patterns/loadouts for different battlefield roles. Some have chainswords/chain fists, some do not. The Imperator pattern of Titan you specifically mention was fairly rare back in M31's Heresy era and is astoundingly rare in the current M41 setting; most Titan Legions could only dream of having one and there's almost certainly less than 20 left in the entire galaxy, maybe even less than 10. Because the Imperator was born from the early 90s Games Workshop it's quite an outrageous design, the proportions of which vary from artist to artist and author to author to suit their needs, but it's what a lot of people think of when you say "Titan" because it's just bonkers, lol. There is actually a wrecked Imperator at the start of SM2's Reliquary operations mission, opposite the starting area. A very nice touch by Sabre, TBH.
yeah to normal people space marines are like angels heres a little hierarchy to simplify the emperor - god custodes - archangels space marines - angels (also referred to as angels of death)
You really should use Rage more when you're low on HP. I understand trying to save it, but stimms are rare, Rage recharges fast, and it's the only other way to recover fully lost HP.
This is a great vid and I'm glad you're enjoying this entry point into 40k. :] Almost off-topic but not quite; if you like games with Scots in them you may want to have a gander at Still Wakes The Deep, if you already haven't on another platform. It's a great game if you have the stomach for it, lol Keep up the good work!
Loved to watch you play Warhammer 40k and enjoy the setting. Welcome to the gory, dark future of the 40,000th millennium. ;-) As you have noticed, the game could do a better job in explaining some things in the beginning, mechanics-wise, as for example the combos are not that apparent. Also, it is not mentioned until very much later in the game (after the campaign) that Tyranids are synaptic creatures, meaning their minds link together. This has the effect that when you kill one of the warriors (the larger ones), the smaller Tyranids either outright die as well, or at least are stunned for a short while. But nevertheless, you did a great job picking up the mechanics anyway. The combat has a steep learning curve, at least I don't know anyone who mastered the parrying/dodging straight away. I played through the campaign and began to play the PvE Operations when I started to really get the hang of it. But at the same time I never had the feeling that it was impossible to beat the game, at least when you play on normal, although with the recent patch at least Veteran difficulty should be doable with bots as well, from what I've read/seen. The reason enemies are sometimes outlined by a yellow border is Gadriels ability called Auspex Scan, like your special ability is Fury. It highlights enemies, even when they hide behind objects, and makes them more vulnerable to attacks, i.e. you do more damage on them. You are right in your assessment that the Tyranids do look a little like Aliens, that's because Warhammer 40k took inspiration in Alien and Dune. And it is also correct that some elements of the game look similar to things in Helldivers as Helldivers was inspired by Warhammer 40k (amongst others). Same goes for SpaceCraft, btw. SpaceCraft basically tookl Warhammer 40k and renamed the races and changed the design a little to avoid copyright issues and then started to tell its own stories, independent of Warhammer 40k. Last but not least, a little bit of background lore on Titus, as I have not seen anyone else explaining it. Titus was also the Player Character in the first Space Marine game. The Space Marines follow a code called the Codex Astartes in which essentially their tactics and strategies are explained. The Ultramarines, of which you are one, usually follow the Codex Astartes to the letter, but Titus always viewed it more as a guideline and not as strict rules. In addition to that, at the end of Space Marine 1, he was fighting against Chaos forces and came out victorious, which one of the Squad Members found suspicious and thus reported him to the Inquisition as possibly tainted by Chaos himself. To make sense of that, it might be helpful to know that the Inquisition operates under the mantra "Innocence proves nothing", i.e. you can be guilty without even knowing it. I won't go into the details, but this is what led Titus to serve for a century as penance in the Deathwatch, a special order of Space Marines that fight for the Inquisition. One could argue that in strict Warhammer 40k terms, Galadriel acts a little weird as he, especially as an Ultramarine, should not question the decisions to make Titus the Squad Leader, but that was probably introduced for the sake of storytelling.
Towards the end, if only she realized she had an underslung grenade launcher on the bolter... Also forgot about holding the melee button at the end of combos for powerful area attacks. They make dealing with groups of enemies much easier.
9:21 The Tutorial says, after a chainsaw combo (!) hold the RB button to perform a heavy attack... So... do a few consecutive swings and then hold the button to perform the heavy attack... You must not hold the button from the start.
Im not dont with the video so maybe you improve but a big difficulty im noticing you having is you keep trying to make distance once your already stuck in melee. The enemies outnumber you, they are faster than you. One your in melee you need to clear them out with melee to survive. Trying to evade and make space is just giving them free reign to chunk your health
@@anathardayaldar not so casual here but pre primaris, generally its only higher ranking officers, squad leaders and Astartes Scouts that dont wear full helmets. The first two groups do it for recognition reasons and because they're generally badasses (also much like in movies you don't want to hide the faces of your more notable actors) for the last group they generally don't because they haven't graduated to being full astartes thus are not allowed the honour of wearing the proper armor. Though if the situation absoloutely dictates it, they'll wear some sort of protective gear. Some chapters like the Space Wolves wil generally all go unhelmeted where possible as their extra enhanced senses give them more benefits than they feel helmets do (also they love their beards which don't mix well with helmets) In the pre primaris lore they served as a scout then moved onto Assault Marines (melee jumppack people) then Devastators (heavy weapon support) and then finally Tactical marines (general purpose line infantry). Though this depends on the chapter, some (non codex compliant) Chapters do things differently. With the whole Primaris thing they have these days its slightly different but mostly the same just renamed, unfortunately I'm not well versed on the Primaris period of history.
Yeah the controls can be a bit tricky - but you get used to them. There is a rhythm to the game. You don't want to sit around waiting for parries , you want to get aggressive but pay attention to the enemy. They will give you tells, and you should parry on those. Also noticing lots of streamers just spamming the boltguns. Bolt guns are precision weapons but they have a lot of recoil. You need to single fire and adjust your aim as you shoot, and don't lean into the trigger until the enemy is in your grill. I'll empty a clip at close range before I go to war with the sword.
The reason they’re quizzing you is because Acheron said if his brothers figure out that he served as a black shield in the death watch, then there would be questions.
"Aaww, they do look like helldivers." ... Errmmm... those were security guards from a local shop... To those playing at home, ALWAYS parry on Blue and NEVER on Red... ___BUT___ you can parry without an indicator, it's just a matter of "feel"
@@iamboringvideos6832 The Space marine games, including this one, are in my eyes a great start off point. You don't have to know about the wider lore to enjoy them but their is enough of a pull that you'd be compelled to learn because when you see 8 foot tall human tanks in armor, you wanna know more about them. My advice, if you genuinely wanna get into this is to take it slowly and read up upon the factions that are within the game first. What they do, how they function etc. Then you can expand from there, again slowly but surely cause this is one of the most bloated universes lore wise probably ever To put it in perspective, the entirety of Space Marine 2, this one planetary wide battle is nothing else but a minor skermish in the grand scheme of things Warfare is waged on an intergalactic and intermidemnsional level and people die in the billions like it's a regular Tuesday

Calling a Space Marine 'just a normal guy' isn't really correct. These guys have been training to be superhuman machines of slaughter since their early teenage years (sometimes even younger) and they're so heavily augmented it's hard to call them human anymore. The markings on his head are service studs which indicate years of service. One silver is equivalent to 50 years and a gold is 100. It's a bit fucky in game but in the original trailer Titus has 4 gold studs (which is the number I'd believe more than anyone else's guess). The scars around his shoulders and neck aren't from where they've reattached limbs, it's from the Rubicon surgery to make him a Primaris Marine (It essentially requires a Marine's skin to be stripped off so an augment can be fitted) A Magos is a way of saying Priest. The Adeptus Mechanicus (the guys in red robes) are a tech obsessed cult originally from Mars who believe in the divinity of machines. Normally the Imperium doesn't like anyone who doesn't believe that the emperor is a god, but the Mechanicus are basically the far future equivalent of Raytheon/Lockheed Martin so they get a free pass. The Astra Militarum are the rank and file of the Imperium's armed forces and they die in droves, but there's so many of them it doesn't really matter if billions of them die in a war. The Cadians are among the toughest units they have, mostly because their home planet was right next to what is essentially the gates of hell and they got attacked all the time. To put that in context, Cadians learn how to strip, clean, reassemble and shoot a lasgun before they're taught to read
I’ve gotten 15 hours out of the PVE mode alone and i feel I’ve barely scratched the surface. There’s a LOT of unlocks to go through for that mode, both cosmetic and weapons/perks, with a solid difficulty progression that keeps the game relatively fresh despite only having 6 missions at launch. Gameplay-wise it’s most comparable to Vermin/Darktide or L4D. I think its longevity will really depend on the developers pace at adding new missions and other content. They have a huge roadmap but these things often change. I just hope it doesn’t turn into Darktide, a game I love playing but the developers are so slow at adding content it’s hard to play the game consistently for long periods of time.
See you keep called the guard Helldivers but they are better then helldivers, they are the 8th cadian regiment, "the Lord Castellan's own" they are the SAS 8k strong and are usually sent to guard special targets or to train and bolster the planetary guard they are built different
you know some people compalin about why does this game get to have many npc's In the background doing battle and other games cant, but I think the answer is depending when that game is made and if, at the time the game and peoples pc's at the time, can handle so many npc's. and also if the background npc's in the background are low poly and such. ETC ETC, also Optimization, and if said game is up to date on Optimization. 1:20:14 I do think that is the same VA for Lae'zel

Not more Reapers😭
I love that you you actually take time to watch the dialogs and subtle moments in the story, that was my favorite part playing it.
Warhammer 40k can essentially be summed up as: "Everything is awful, and you will die horrible."
The Imperium is a corrupt, rotting theocracy, kept afloat solely by its massive size and inexhaustible armies.
This is the worst explanation of 40k I've ever read.
Do you use reddit perhaps? You sound like you do

Your added sound effects made me so glad that I clicked on your video.

It does my heart well to hear you naturally pronounce Tyranids correctly.

Fun fact:
A silver stud equals to 50 years of Space Marine service while gold is 100 years of service
And if you ever see a dreadnought, that is actually a Space Marine that has severe damage long after combat, they can be hundred of years old while some over 10,000!
There are different titans and knights, imperial knights have a big chain sword and a common or Gatling gun, while the biggest titan known as the Imperial Titans are like really big and they literally have a city on top of them, “have you ever heard the meme everyone gangsta till the church starts walking”
Please correct me if I’m wrong!
@ ok thanks for pointing it out!

Loved to watch you play Warhammer 40k and enjoy the setting. Welcome to the gory, dark future of the 40,000th millennium. ;-)
As you have noticed, the game could do a better job in explaining some things in the beginning, mechanics-wise, as for example the combos are not that apparent.

Filthy casual here. I've been told that some space marines don't wear helmets because they just don't want to. It's a kind of flex.
That’s pretty badass
There's always the trope of if they aren't wearing a helmet it makes them more powerful.

@@prossnip42 and how about lore that is connected to story only?
Like on whay level is the balance between lore and in game story when compared to Destiny 2, just so i know how it is like.
I hit that subscribe button the moment you said 'for democracy' lmao. Loved this video!
Titus is not even the oldest Space Marine.
There is a Space Marine named Dante he's thousand years old. He's the oldest active Space Marine still fighting.
Dante is from a different group of Space marines called the Blood Angels and Dante is the Chapter Master of the Blood Angels basically the leader.
Warhammer, Halo, Frostpunk? Someone's got good taste in games, eh?
Correct! Can't wait for Frostpunk 2 this month
Love how you injoy this. If your on xbox love to join some time. Just let me know and I'll give my GT. Im always looking for new friends. Im 41 years old so im down to earth and a relax player. Can give some lore about all the armies if you like. Cheers and great video.
When doing a combo think Morse Code dot dot dot dash = tap tap tap hold. When you kill the big ones all the little ones die.
The scars around his shoulders and neck aren't from where they've reattached limbs, it's from the Rubicon surgery to make him a Primaris Marine (It essentially requires a Marine's skin to be stripped off so an augment can be fitted)
A Magos is a way of saying Priest.
I do recommend going back to the first game btw, it's equally enjoyable tbh altho the main enemy is teh orks!
I prefer wahammer 40,000 boltgun it is much easier for controls but done in the old version Doom style. There is also Space Hulk games to try too.
A few people have mentioned Boltgun! I’ll check it out
@@LUCYJROBYN like the original Doom there is hidden areas to find and should not be a drain on your computer. I play on xbox series x and is awesome.
Moar videos for the emperor! ❤🦅
My favorite warhammer bortherhood is the black Templars 🖤🖤🖤🖤 and there's a TH-cam page named Luton he explains the universe and it History
Game looks amazing! I want to buy it but I'm hesitating whether a 10 hour length campaign is worth the asking price.
It’s a lot of fun! I think the co-op side of the game will be really good too
I’ve gotten 15 hours out of the PVE mode alone and i feel I’ve barely scratched the surface.
Hope you tried the operations too
Will we see this on twitch?
I’m heading to the US for a couple of weeks, so won’t be until the end of the month😊
@lucyjrobyn grab some texas bbq or a low country boil, or both while you're in the states

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Warhammer
Great to be here!
See you keep called the guard Helldivers but they are better then helldivers, they are the 8th cadian regiment, "the Lord Castellan's own" they are the SAS 8k strong and are usually sent to guard special targets or to train and bolster the planetary guard they are built different
You are the best person to be around ☺️ 💖
you know some people compalin about why does this game get to have many npc's In the background doing battle and other games cant, but I think the answer is depending when that game is made and if, at the time the game and peoples pc's at the time, can handle so many npc's. and also if the background npc's in the background are low poly and such. ETC ETC, also Optimization, and if said game is up to date on Optimization.
1:20:14 I do think that is the same VA for Lae'zel
It’s defo her! 😍
Aww, the problem is I want to eventually buy this game so I cant do spoilers ☹️. Have fun though 🐝
Thanks!
Shall you be returning to SM2? You've no idea what's in store, this has been viewed by many to be one of the best games of 2024!
Absolutely, gonna try finish it in December! Also got myself my first model to paint, might do that on stream too
@ Excellent! Welcome to the Grimdark universe of 40k, Sister. It’s a deep well to fall into…
Next stream you paint Warhammer minis? Yes?
first space marine game you fight orcs. ( and chaos)
Chaos seems to be the common thing here then!
@@LUCYJROBYN The Forces of Chaos are from an alternate dimension called the Warp. The Warp (aka the Immaterium), where thoughts, desires, and emotions from all living beings are made real, and turned into psychic beings called Daemons (pronounced as demons). The galaxy and all the various races descent into decay have sped up the growth of Chaos, which has helped turn anything into a purely evil force.
Of all the factions, Chaos is most linked with humanity/the Imperium. Chaos is the source of the abhumans, humans with psychic powers (especially the Navigators), and their lightspeed travel (Imperial ships slip in and out the Warp to cross large distances). Also, many humans and Astartes have fallen to chaos over the years, most famously Horus Lupercal, one of the Emperor's Primarchs, who then corrupted half of the other Primarchs and their Chapters into falling to chaos, kickstarting a civil war within the Imperium that nearly destroyed it called the Horus Heresy. The Heresy only ended after the Emperor himself slew Horus but the battle left the Emperor so wounded they had to put him on a life-support machine called the Golden Throne.
Lastly, they're are four Gods of Chaos (also known as the Ruinous Powers). Slaanesh, the God of Pleasure, Excess, Hedonism, Decadence and Pain. Nurgle, the God of Disease, Decay, Despair, Destruction and Death. Khorne, the God of War, Hatred, Murder and Blood. And Tzeentch, the God of Change, Mutation, Manipulation, Lies and Trickery.
