Gonna keep it going for the foreseeable future, even if we clear the tech tree soon I'll still need to get all the missions completed and I'm sure the devs will be adding new stuff for us to revisit the series from there out!
In 2015 I fried the gpu of my macbook pro staying up way too late building SSTOs. Many were in the hundreds part count. That was around when 1.0 finally came out. Lol good times 😂 never did bring myself to part clip like that though!
I'd hate to know how many hours I've spent messing about with SSTOs, Luckily haven't fried a PC yet though! (RIP your macbook) Not my proudest use of part clipping lol, my thought process was that I just ended up with the same density as LF with Nervs in the original game, gone are the days of shared LF between the nervs and the atmospheric stage, sadly.
I use auto-subtitles to take some of the work out of doing them manually, then go through and fix all of the mistakes it makes (which are many). Somehow the auto subtitle thing ALWAYS, and I mean always, writes KFC for the KSC. Moral of the story is AI really likes fried chicken! LOL
If they didn't want us to do it, they wouldn't have made it so easy! Now I'm wondering what this mission would have looked like with no clipping, that'd be one long SSTO! lol
Beating ksp with only aircraft sounds fun, I have some ideas to beat Whirligig world planet pack using aircraft only, sadly I wouldn't upload it on TH-cam
I know I'm late but I've been loving the series. I do have to point out, you just missed an Easter egg at the pools, I won't say what it was and I don't know if you did that on purpose.
I'm starting wonder if maybe they aren't mentioning props and robotics because it'll be another DLC like breaking ground farther down the line after the main release, hmm... I hope it's sooner rather than later!
@@smooneychad Unfortunately Nate Simpson has all but explicitly said that robotics aren't coming (I don't remember who it was that asked or when, though). He's said they haven't ruled the possibility of adding something like that long-term, but I got the impression that was along the lines of a "never say never" kind of thing, and it's definitely not in the plans/timeline. That said, I'm pretty confident someone will make a mod for it at some point, as long as the game keeps improving and starts winning over more of the community
Could be a lot of things going on, if the engines are mounted on the top or bottom of the aircraft, they may not be lined up with the center of mass, causing it to torque (similar to the way gimballing works). In which case rotating them slightly up or down pointing toward the CoM would help. Could also be a bunch of other things like fuel burning and slowly shifting the CoM behind the center of lift, the atmosphere getting thinner leading to loss of control, or simply that the engines are mistakenly slightly tilted or something like that. Lmk if any of that helps! :D
Typically the game is running between 5-15 fps in real time depending on the situation, then I speed up the footage to make it smoother to watch. So the answer is it kinda is a slideshow! lol
@@guesswho2778 since the release theres been a few updates that have optimized the game quite a bit, also with mods i was able to get above 30 fps on a rx 580 and a xeon e3 1230 v2 (little better performance than the i5 3570) and on my main pc I get around 40-50 fps (3060 & R5 5600X) game is still not optimized nearly as well as it could or should be but its definitely getter better thankfully. sorry for the fuggin essay 🙃
@@guesswho2778 agreed with the other reply, the game's gotten a lot better performance-wise, especially with the Science update. I'm on a 4070 Ti and a 13700K, a fairly higher-end PC, and for the first couple of missions on a new Science save I'm up around 80-100fps. But it starts deteriorating pretty quickly both as you have more ships in your save file and with ship size/complexity. On later missions with 100ish-part ships I'm usually down to 30ish fps (this is on 1440p with all settings maxed and ~10 mods installed)
We be recreating the tsar bomba with this one🗿 but until they make bda for ksp2 and I am able to chanege the explosive warhead code to make it as strong as the tsar bomba it will remain as a dream

Nah that’s probably metallic hydrogen at that compression
Nice, I've officially made metallic hydrogen engines before their official release, let's go!
i knew this video was coming, every day at noon I frantically typed up "ksp planes only" and "matt lowne" lol, Keep this series going!

I didn't know anyone else played ksp on laptop. Amazing series 👍

I play the first one, not the second one, but yeah, I play on laptop. I'm prob gonna get a new computer soon though!

you should build a base on one of the glitch-holes
Good idea, would be a great place to launch missions through them!
