    I purchased this Boker (the blue one)several months ago. I'm very pleased with it. I field dressed a whitetail buck with it including splitting the sternum and the knife was still shaving sharp when I was done. It even still functioned. I give it a small shot of WD-40 about once a month and it has always cycled flawlessly. The only negative thing I can say about the knife is that it can be somewhat difficult to open and close multiple times in a row if your hands are wet due to the strong spring. If the sliding thumb piece tab switch thing was textured a little more aggressively, this one slightly negative issue could be remedied. I still give it 5 stars. There are better OTF knives out there I'm sure but not at this price. My friend bought a cobra tech and it might be a slightly better value but I think that the Boker is a little higher quality.

      Thanks very much for your comments! Good to know this knife holds up and has some usefulness. Note that Cobra tech is the manufacturer of this knife for Boker. In my experience the springs on out the front knives can be adjusted if you're willing to take it apart and give a slight stretch to the main spring. I've done this with some third-party manufactured knockoffs. 👍🗡️👍

    Neat smallish blade with full length handle. Very blue ! Not to my taste but good to see Boker hooking up with U.S. manufacturing.

    Very nice. Does she have any blade play? Not sure if I missed it or you didn't mention. That protech one definitely overshadows her though. Second you pulled that one out, its like the blue one just disappeared.

      All OTF knives have blade play, even Microtech. There are a couple of exceptions, but those cost a grand or more. Yes, the Boker Protect OTS auto seems to have more appeal for most viewers. Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️👍

    Boker Plus Knives are made in Taiwan for Boker

    • @OGBladeReviews
      @OGBladeReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I think the deal is that the parts may be made in Taiwan, but assembled in the US by Cobra Tec, according to Boker. Note that Boker simply says on their webpage that the Kwaiken OTF is made "in cooperation" with Cobra Tec in the US.
