Never owned one, neither OTF or OTS. But I carried a friend’s OTS, and it opened in my pocket. I couldn’t get it out of my pocket without taking my pants off. Then add in it is really a two handed knife with closing. I like the OTF because it’s harder to open and one handed. But would not turn away a OTS. Thanks for sharing BigRed, be safe.
I've had them open in my pocket too so I switched to one with a lock(benchmade adamas) and I love it give it a thought you won't be disappointed

I am fortunate enough to live in a state where I can carry OTFs and side opening autos. I love 'em both. However, I don't usually carry autos when camping or hiking. I do EDC them. That Kwaiken is gorgeous.

That's sweet, but out the side reminds me of an old Italian switchblade that my grandfather carried & I'd watch in awe as he'd peel an apple for me to eat!

I dig this. Wish I could carry it. I have no preference, but would likely fidget more with an OTF. I can own, but now carry an Automatic knife over 2 inches and can carry under 2 inches.

The Kwaiken they have that Pro Tech makes is very cool. This isn’t bad for the price, I just wish they would get off D2 on all their lower end stuff that costs more than it should.

An OTF being the more fidget options, an OTS a solid locking, it's the choice between fidgeting or no bladeplay. I have both kinds, so not a real prefference. The handle really looks awesome. Good to have an OTF option as well. Thank you JB.

I prefer OTS as well, most OTFs feel more agressive to me which is something I don't look for in a knife but that's just me! Definitely a cool color if you're into blue :-)

If something is going on close-quarters and you aren't already deployed, OTF could be an issue. Similar to a striker fired tool. I do like the color though, and the design is clean.
