I own this Boker USB OFT. I took a white Sharpie marker and wrote "128 GB" on the non-switch side to make it look even more like a real USB thumb drive.

@@jeromes5834 Yes, the Boker USB is working perfectly fine. It's a great fidget toy, I've must have opened and closed it blade about 1,000 times.

I think it's cool and I guarantee that some of the people complaining about the size fail to realize that their grandparents or parents probability have or still do carry a pocketknife of about the same blade size. Most people in their day to day lives don't need to bushcraft or knife capable of splitting logs by batoning.

I've bought this in purple for my wife, looking to find a knife she'll like, and carry. The action is very crisp, and not too hard for me to open anyway
That's the 4,5 cm one, which is illegal to even own in Germany, but there is coming a 4 cm verrsion in may that will be legal to own in Germany!

I have handled this little knife. It is very fidget friendly. The store that has it wants 10.00 dollars more than internet retailers. I’ve tried to justify it because “I’m there” and it would satisfy the immediate craving. It’s still on my mind even at $74 with tax.
Support your local business before you know it they’ll be gone and you won’t have a place to go play with knives anymore. Happened locally to me. My favorite knife shop closed down 😢
I have the cobratec version of this knife. It has a pocket clip, D2 steel, but the factory edge is terrible. Not sharp enough to make a clean cut through paper. I expect better from any knife maker
IINAL but apparently automatic knives are illegal to import, which is why all autos for sale in the US are made in the US. But apparently the same law makes the interstate commerce of automatic knives illegal as well so OMGWTFBBQ!!!

I had one of these. Great little conversation piece, everyone wants to see it. Even people who have very little interest in knives. I ended up giving it to my mom, who again has very little interest in knives but took a liking to this one.

Because the blade locks when its open they cant make it in Germany if i got thing straight but they could had made it in China tho. but i guess they might as well make it in USA as USA is the largest market for OTFs

Fun little trick with the pnuts, run them under water and thank me later, unless you re use them, which I’m sure you do.
I would use it as a fidgeter but that's about it lol
When the blade was flipped revealing the CobraTec logo, I expected the knife to be thrown across the room. Then a frantic run to the sink to wash his hands.😂
I didn't realize who they collaborated with until I saw the logo. Probably not gonna be doing a review on this guy TBH

@@metal_complex Yeah, Boker and CobraTec kind of a double whammy of disappointment. But if you want to walk on the dark side, I’m sure I have about 5/6 examples of CobraTec’s work. I own 1 Boker CobraTec collab and it’s probably the worse knife I own. One of my first EDCs was a Boker Kalishnakov, still holding out hope that Boker finds their way to making better knives.
Put this in your computer bag, and I bet the TSA wouldn't notice... 😅🤣
Looks like it would be a good replacement for my keychain knife though. Mine has some form of mystery "stainless" that barely holds an edge for more than 3 cuts.. lol
Boker are German but also are preset in the US they design lots of products in Germany and the US sold stuff as far as I know is all made in Denver. They have several daughter compains in South America that are sold under the Treebrand and Arbolito brands but are all Boker products.

I keep it on my night stand as a blade to use without having to get up out of bed.
This is sharp as piss!
This was my first D2 blade & it didn't disappoint!
The quality of this knife is great.
My only issue is it doesn't have a safety ,.& because of that I REFUSE to carry this on my person anywhere. When you see how sharp this is & how long it holds an edge for, the thought of it opening up unbeknownst to me & me sitting down on an open blade is a deal-breaker for EDC.

You could argue that every small OTF looks like a USB stick.
There really aren't that many OTFs that are this size though. Sure, small OTFs exists... but this is one of the only ones (that's made with any hint of quality) that's actually about the size of a USB stick
@@metal_complex have you ever reviewed any Cobratec knives? I’ve seen them in my local gun shops and I’ve been curious about how good they really are. They make some small ones like this, too.

Cool little knife, but it would need a pocket clip for me to buy one. I despise having things loose in my pockets. Also, do you have any experience with Cobratec? My local gun shop carries them and they seem pretty decent for sub-$100
If you’re wanting to get a cobratec otf, I have one of the larger models that go for about 150-160 and from experience I think it’s a great knife
There's a reason I don't buy "made in USA" anymore, we're cost gouging our own people now! THIS same product, same materials, construction, and a 90 day satisfaction, and 2 year parts warranty for almost 1/4 the cost from a Chinese manufacturer that a local LEO supply store buys from in our county. I like the video, would've liked it a little more if you showcased some similar knives from other manufacturers as a base of comparison.
There are times and places where it is not appropriate to whip out a 3" plus blade, especially a 3" plus automatic.
