Fabulous Clare! I tend to do gel printing to make collage papers and pay little attention to composing anything but you've inspired me to give this a go ❤
That’s great to hear! Drying times really depend on the conditions that you are printing in. On dry sunny days, my layers are almost dry instantly. At the moment it is very cold and damp so even with the help of a cool hair dryer, my layers took around 5mins to dry.
They are both great but I am drawn more to the stamped version with the slightly grungier feel. It's a great idea and also means you don't waste the paint which is on the stencil. Win/Win! Thank you for showing this technique in such a clear way.
I love the idea of doing it on two plates! I’m always running about trying to find paper to make a print on with my stencil after I use it on the gel plate. This is so much better. I would like to try mixing the stencils and stamps between the two plates. Once I get the hang of this of course 😂😊😊
Another interesting video….wish I could keep my workspace as clean as yours. I much prefer the stencil in terms of clarity, composition and depth, but the stamp made a nice print too. Thank you sharing your knowledge.
They are both great. Maybe the stencil has the edge for me! I love your demonstrations and clear explanations. Sorry if I missed this, did you make your stencils yourself please?
I am using opaque paints. For the first three layers I am using standard acrylic paints. To pull the print I use Liquitex heavy body (but only because I like the colour), standard acrylic would work fine. 🙂
Rebecca would be pleased with what you've done with her stencil. 😊
Thank you, I so hope so 🙂
So beautiful and very nice colors👍 Thank you
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it 🙂
My preference would be the stamp, but they're both great, thanks Clare!!!
Thank you Linda, I’m not sure if I like the texture in the stamp. 🙂

Wonderful! Happy printing 🙂
Wonderful. I really like them both. You teach very clearly. As an newbie, I’m always a bit confused about drying times. I get it now. Thank you.

I love them both! You have given me inspiration for today. I’m off to make some more gelli prints 😊 Thank you for sharing!
Fabulous! Happy printing! 🙂
I prefer the stencil, but both are lovely. Great colours.
Me too! Thank you 🙂
I like them both, and I like the stamp effect the best. Thank you 👏
Glad you like them! 🙂
Really lovely prints. Love the use of the patterns & the colours as well.
Thanks so much! 🙂
Love both but prefer the stencil ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Wow this and you are brilliant 👏🏻
Thank you so much! 🙂
Love this idea, because I hate wasting color while gelly printing. I will start with a second plate now. Thanks for this beautiful idea.
You’re welcome! Glad you liked it 🙂
I like them both but if I had to choose I would pick the stencil. Lovely work!
Thanks so much! 😊
Great tutorial, thanks.
Glad it was helpful! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed the video. It’s great to hear which print you prefer 🙂

That's a great idea! Mixing the stencil and stamp…I’ll give it a go 🙂
I think the stencil has a slight edge over the stamp technique. Good tutorial! Thank you
So pleased to hear that you liked my tutorial. I agree with the stencil having the edge over the stamp. 🙂

Thank you Deborah, I think I prefer the stencil print too 😊
They are both pretty :-) Cool technique, I will definitely try it. Thank you so much for the inspiration
You are so welcome! Glad you liked it 🙂
I really like them both but prefer the stencilled version for the intensity of colour.
Thank you, I think I prefer the stencilled version too. 🙂

Thank you so much! I think the stencil is my favourite too. The stencil is by Rebekah Meier. I have popped the link in the description 🙂
Interesting video thank you.
Could you explain the type of paint used on each layer please ie transparent/opaque; flow/full body etc

Great video… can I ask where you got those X-LARGE clips on your wall⁉️
They are from Amazon, they come in a pack of two. 🙂
loved the demo. is there a uk supplier of this stencil ? went on their site and there’s only two shipping options US and Canada
I bought the stencil a long time ago. I think I ordered it through www.go-craft.co.uk 🙂
