Every time I hear this song, I picture a situation where Weiss has made a surprise appearance at a concert hall where her loser of a father and worm of a brother are there, thinking they are going to see a performance of another singer. While she is right in the middle of the song, a few seconds before the "Hey wait" verse, her father and brother, as pissed off as they are, tries to exit their balcony seats, where they are met by two soldiers having orders from Winter not to let them leave until the song is fully over. Then you see in the audience Winter sitting in the front row wearing the biggest smile on her face. She is both amused of the situation her father and brother are in and proud of her sister finally sticking up for herself. That would be a bad ass scene to watch in RWBY.
Why dedicate a concert to them? They're not worth it lmao. Douchebag dad is anyway, her brother maybe be another victim, we don't know enough yet. Anyway, have Weiss give concerts because SHE wants to. When she wants to, where she wants to. Have douchedad force his way into the concert when the song is playing. Hear the song he doesn't know and he realizes is about him and probs ruining his reputation. Go to see whoever's in charge and furiously demand it to be shut down, but perhaps with some help of soldiers Winter hired, no, the concert keeps playing. Then have him be dragged out during the last chorus of the song and have the door slam shut in his face when it ends.
When I finally moved out, away from my toxic narcissistic mom, this song became my personal anthem and continues to help me through shitty times. I started relating more with Weiss and her situation with her prick of a dad. Thank you, Jeff and Casey, for making badass music for this equally badass series. ✌🏻

I think Casey's voice is beautiful and amazing, and not just because it's her voice. I love rwby how it uses the songs to set mood accurately not many series can do it and rooster teeth can pull it off and make them master pieces in one series you may have one or two favorites but Jeff and Casey Williams are able to do it to all of them and be great.

I personally see two possible futures for Whitley. 1: He will turn on his father at some point, as Jacques pays for raising a monster. 2: There's also a more positive but not as likely option. Like Weiss and Winter, he could eventually try to break free from Jacques. He is a couple years younger than Weiss, and therefore hasn't had as much time to break free. This could happen later on, and we did see as Jacques left Weiss's room after replacing her as heiress Whitley for a brief moment seems to be sadden over what he overheard, before returning to his usual cocky grin once he notices Jacques has left the one and might fear punishment for being sad as Weiss's punishment. Out of fear, he could still be acting just like Jacques wants him.
This really gets me thinking; What kind of a father was Weiss's father? I haven't got the best father either; he's actually quite a jerk to be frank and man that feels good to finally get it out somehow, so it kind of bugs me. The RWBY manga made it seem like at least her father acknowledged Weiss's effort to be 'perfect' for him but this song makes me feel otherwise.
Well, despite everything, I think Weiss still has a strong emotional attachment towards her father. I know for a fact that whoever it is, if you feel truly indifferent about them, you don't even bother thinking like this.

This sentiment strikes me in the same vein as the people who thought Blake was going to go fight the white fang alone. Which I admit I initially thought too. Weiss's songs seem to either be based on loneliness or her relationship with her father. What I love about these songs is that it reveals Weiss's character without her breaking character. What I mean is, Weiss is cold, and doesn't reveal her emotions much, but by doing it through songs, we can learn about her personality and backstory in spite of this.

I mean, if the RWBY writing improves a little, they can do so much with Jacques, it's very intriguing. His character has only been shown from one angle, so there's so much room. How did he grow up? How does he view his children, like not making assumptions ourselves: what are the facts. That alone could make Jacques a powerhouse of either an douchebag antagonist or a understandable antagonist who can still turn the ship around, instead of leaving him as a jackass and leaving him to the wolves.
Now I know why Weiss was mean in the beginning of volume 1. So, you know how when you've had a bad day, you start to be mean to people? Well take that, and make it ten times worse. When you stay around mean people, you start to become mean yourself. I personally see two possible futures for Whitley. 1: He will turn on his father at some point, as Jacques pays for raising a monster. 2: There's also a more positive but not as likely option. Like Weiss and Winter, he could eventually try to break free from Jacques. He is a couple years younger than Weiss, and therefore hasn't had as much time to break free. This could happen later on, and we did see as Jacques left Weiss's room after replacing her as heiress Whitley for a brief moment seems to be sadden over what he overheard, before returning to his usual cocky grin once he notices Jacques has left the one and might fear punishment for being sad as Weiss's punishment. Out of fear, he could still be acting just like Jacques wants him.

This really gets me thinking; What kind of a father was Weiss's father? I haven't got the best father either; he's actually quite a jerk to be frank and man that feels good to finally get it out somehow, so it kind of bugs me. I can make so many characters based of this song. All with different personalities and backgrounds and minimal overlap. They wouldnt even have the same goals or anything.

Weiss's songs seem to either be based on loneliness or her relationship with her father. What I love about these songs is that it reveals Weiss's character without her breaking character. What I mean is, Weiss is cold, and doesn't reveal her emotions much, but by doing it through songs, we can learn about her personality and backstory in spite of this.

I can't help thinking how much better RWBY would be with 2D Animation. Not that 3d is bad, but after seeing RWBY fanart, i can't help thinking it.
I'll tell you why? You see this upload schedule? How fast the show is made? That's because the Rooster Teeth team is good at animating 3d. And if it were 2D it wouldn't have been made at all because Monty Oum animated in 3D.
Fanart like this can take hours to make, a good and smooth animation 2D in general use 24 frames per second, if one frame take maybe 30 minutes to make then 1 second will be ready in 12 hours and 1 minute will take 30 days long to make, that just if who is drawing dont take a break.
DragonBallAxel art and animation are to different things you have to remember and rwby wouldn't exist as Monty oum was a 3D animator

I mean, if the RWBY writing improves a little, they can do so much with Jacques, it's very intriguing. His character has only been shown from one angle, so there's so much room. How did he grow up? How does he view his children, like not making assumptions ourselves: what are the facts. That alone could make Jacques a powerhouse of either an douchebag antagonist or a understandable antagonist who can still turn the ship around, instead of leaving him as a jackass and leaving him to the wolves.
Now I know why Weiss was mean in the beginning of volume 1.

Well take that, and make it ten times worse. When you stay around mean people, you start to become mean yourself. And since Weiss's dad has been a jerk to Weiss her whole life up until her teen years, so she was really moody until she realized how to be nice when she went to beacon.
