- Today we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of thwomp. This enemy has stopped mario in his tracks many times while he was trying to save peach from bowser and actually changed a lot through out the years. We have seen them in a lot of games like super mario galaxy, super mario 3d world, super mario 3d land, super mario world, super mario 64 and maybe they will even return in super mario odyssey. But in what kind of ways did this enemy chance? Well design, use and way more!

I'm kind of sad you never mentioned the Thwomp from Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door, who servers as a game show host.
He doesn't like covering Spin Off games. It's also why you only got to see Ms. Thwomps battle when he mentions them. Since that's the only other variantion that is interresting and an actual THWOMP bossfight
I can understand his reasons, but I still wish he had mentioned it, because it was pretty hilarious.

I recall that there is at least one variation of Thwomp in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. They are called Sniffle Thwomps and they appear in Bowser's Castle. They are basically a Thwomp with a cold, and they wear an ice pack. If Bowser inhales the ice pack then the Thwomp starts taking more damage.They are a bit more unpredictable in their attacks.
The Thwumps and their variants are enemies that I genuinely like. Sure they can be a bit bothersome at times but I like how you have to time your movements or can use them as platforms
I absolutely love the how it evolved series and I wish there was a new one every day
I don't know why but Thwomps are my favorite mario characters...

The whomp and thwomp are similar by name, so maybe that’s how he made that mistake.
Also a new variant of thwomp called stairface ogre it is a good one though.(it first appears in the newest non-spin-off game of the Mario series)

I count the "Star-Man" Thwomp from Mario Kart 7's revived NES rainbow road track as a variant in its own right, it has two things that can be a problem for the player(s). Number 1. The normal crush move they do. Number 2. if they slam down on the floor and you bump into them trying to pass through them (for some reason .-_-.) they knock you back and stun you like a bob-omb or blue shell giving the other racers a wider opening to take the lead, so not being one of the most creative thwomp ideas and being in a spin off game, i say they deserve some love as a different variant.

The thwomps have turned me into Mario paste a few times. By a few, I mean a lot
Theyre derp but i love them. You did forget a few thought. Mario Kart 64 introduced the Homing Whomps that followed you for a bit before slamming down and going back to their resting spot and green Whomp. I didnt know his story but growing up the personal back story i gave him was a Whomp that went mad and with no was of killing him Bowser locked him in the castle. Also from Mario 64 there was a boss known as Eye Roc. He was the pyramids guardian consisting of 2 large massive stone brick hand with a large eye inlayed in each palm.
