Lx2610 here and loving it! Best purchase I’ve ever made! Work horse and still exceeding our expectations for sure! The whine is for definitely noticeable but I wear ear muffs now while I’m working and it helps a lot. Back filled out basement and grading our property best we can before the snow shows up.
Glad to see another Kubota guy doing videos! Attachments, likes, dislikes and experiences are some things myself and I’m sure others look for on here. Thanks for the video and I’ll keep an eye out for your next one. Cheers!

B2601 owner since 2019. Amazing what this tractor can do. Came down the B2601 or John Deere 3025E. The three range transmission on the Kubota was the deciding factor for me.

Awesome video! Always confusing when you see 3 tractors with the same horsepower that all look about the same size haha. Great comparisons.

I have a B2601 with 600 hours. I use it heavily but don't abuse it and always keep up with the maintenance. The only problems I've had is with a couple of "safety" switches that are a pain to get to. I jumped around them so I won't have to pull the seat unit again. I do keep the seat switch "dead man" functional and it is easy to get to if I ever have to replace it. Those are the only problems I've ever had in all this time. It is a great tractor for my use! Instead of getting the three point hitch extenders get a quick hitch. You'll be glad you did!

I have the BX2680, I run out of traction long before I'll ever run out of power. Its small, and its extremely capable, especially when its the only tractor that'll fit into back yards in subdivisions with extremely narrow gates where these larger tractors can't get into...or if you find a large enough gate to get it in there you don't have enough room to maneuver. Did a project for a friend over the summer that required some roto-tilling in the back yard, then leveling and spreading gravel to prep an area for a shed. The B-Series would have been too big back there, even the BX made things a bit cramped at times and it wouldn't have fit beside the house and fence on the opposite side of the yard from where the entry gate was. Larger isn't necessarily bigger, and I only have an acre of property so the BX does everything I need...and I find myself using the pallet forks far more than the bucket now LOL. If you have a tractor with a loader, and it has the skid steer quick attach on it, pallet forks are a must...wouldn't waste my time or money on those clamp on forks. Rear ballast is your friend with pallet forks...I usually have my 48" box blade on the back, and to get my roto-tiller off the shelf and down so I can hook it up to the tractor, I have to add 4 of the 42 pound suitcase weights to the cross members of the box blade, and even then I could use a few more pounds back there at times.
You will love that B2601 out on your property for sure, I think its a great all around middle of the road tractor for many homeowners that have more space and can get the larger tractor around their property, but for those that don't have the space don't hesitate to get the BX series, its far more than a riding lawn mower as many people think they are...oh yes it mows great, I have the 60" mid mount mower for my BX, it does an awesome job mowing a lawn, but its heavier than your riding mower by at least 2-3 times, so it'll quickly rut up your yard if you aren't careful LOL....but when my current lawn tractor dies, the BX will take over the mowing chores I see no need to buy another lawn tractor.

You might consider dual rear remotes to make that back blade easy to control.
FitRite Hydraulics’s will fix you up after a lengthy wait, I’m half way there from a 30 week wait.

Not sure if the 12v on the b2601 will do it, but I know on my lx2610, the 12v plug is super handy.
Because the cab version was not available when I needed my tractor, I ended up with open station, which had its own pros and cons. But, moving hay or plowing snow at -35f, being able to plug in electric heated winter gear had been very, very nice. Also, when it isn't quite so cold, around 0f the ability to plug in a heated seat is pretty awesome also.

I have just over 150 hrs on my B2601. Bought it last year, first tractor for me. I love it so far. I have used it with a stump bucket, rock bucket, brush hog, a tiller, pallet forks and a yard box. It amazes me how much you will do if you take your time. I did not buy the mid mount mower, as I have a fairly new riding lawn mower, but will consider some type of mower for the tractor at a later time. I am also looking at grapples, but I don't know if I really have a need for one. But, to be honest, I didn't really NEED a tractor for 3.5 acres, but the tractor just made everything I wanted to do so much easier. I have moved a lot of dirt with the loader. I have done things that I wouldn't have done if I didn't have the tractor, things I wouldn't have hired out. I went with the skid steer type tires and they have done very well for me. The tool box was replaced with a larger box almost immediately. I haven't got around to making a brush guard for the machine yet, but I will definitely get one built this winter. I test drove an LX and seriously thought about buying one, but the B2601 just seemed to be a better size for what I was looking for. The dealer steered me towards the B 2601 after asking me questions about what I would be using it for and I trusted his judgment. As far as color, a Tennessee Vol always chooses Big Orange.....I did put a HF quick hitch on the tractor and it usually saves me time hooking up, especially with the Land Pride brush hog. It can be a pain sometimes to take the box blade off with the quick hitch, but that is an adjustment thing I am working on. The box blade the dealer sold me wasn't Land Pride and it wasn't marked QH compatible. It's the hook issue that so many people talk about with the HF quick hitch. I have had the gullet cut some, but need to do a little more tweaking. Have fun playing with the new toy!

If your hunting property has any bit of slope, I suggest wheel spacers. I put 2.5" spacers on mine because that's the largest I could go without being wider than the bucket and man, what a difference. The pucker factor was reduced tremendously.

I run a BX Kubota at work with a full cab. It can really become tipsy at times. My dad just bought a b2601 last year. Feels more stable but I guess it would depend on how much of a grade you put it on.

Put some plugs in those open tubes on the loader so you don't get wasps. For snow, shoes on the rear blade make a lot of sense. The three ranges are a BIG plus!!

LX2610 here and love it. I have the cab and really love that. Only thing I don't like is the cab has Plastic fenders and roof. Never thought Kubota would go to that. One thing to remember, a quick hitch will make the over all length longer. Make sure you have the space for it.

Great video. If I was looking for a tractor that size , the 3 ranges would be what I would want. Tires size. Ya looks great and thats what I like too. Ground clearance. Yep gotta have that. Now, going into the woods. Great tractor for that. But I don’t like the position of where the hoses are on the right side. But that’s the way I’d is. So you’d have to be careful of that. Thanks

I went with the LX2610 mainly because we had 2'+ snowstorms where I live in both 2019 and 2020. At the time, I owned a Deere X585 with a 54" hydraulic plow blade. While that machine was super capable when handling snowstorms of 6" or less, it was a total bear when it came to major snowfalls. I hoped the larger framed LX2610, along with a substantial ballast box for the winter, would better handle my year round tasks and it absolutely hasn't disappointed me to date.

It looks like between the bigger wheels, better clearance, 3 speed tranny, and position control hitch, this is a big step up over the BX. It's easy to get stuck in the BX.

My B2601 was delivered today, 12 26 23 The first thing I noticed was Kubota Tires, My contract spells out R4 tread tires. I am looking for peoples report on that. Are the R 14 tires any good? The 3rd function hoses on the outside of the loader fame looks like it wont last. Same with the fuel filter just behind the rt front tire. The dealer driver could not show me how to un hook the front loader assembly. The plastic bag with the owners manual for the Root Rake and Grapple was full of water and mold. Any one know if the tractor has a mfg. Date code on it? and how to read it. Thanks

I’ve heard now from a few TH-camrs that the LX2610 has that high whiny sound. That’s too bad. I like the cab model the best.ish the B2601 had a factory cab.

    • @timbertimeoutdoors9836
      @timbertimeoutdoors9836  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, a factory cab on the B2601 would be so great. There are some good after market cabs by Curtis. I hope some day Kubota will update the LX2610. Its basically the same as the old version of the B2650. The just gave it a new name. If they get rid of that hydro whin, I will upgrade. Its really bad. Just couldn't listen to it as is. The B2601 has a great old school sound.

The B2601 with R 4 tires suck, and it really needs to be about 6 inches wider in the ass end, it feels way to tippy on the hills and you need wheel spacers if you are going to use chains
