Love the closer look idea. It helps a lot of people. Car looks so clean man. Love how the hood is close to the car color but just different enough to look good.
"A closer look" is a great idea...I can't even count the amount of times I have to go on google and look and look and read and read to find out info about this part I saw installed on youtube.
Hey man, just watch out for any rust or discoloration on metal pipes, but hoses would only get damaged from being wet/ dry with excessive sun exposure before and after. Discoloration will show like on top/ bottom of the metal coolant elbows etc. Sick car dude
Try using Double-Sided 3M Foam Tape to stick it to the hood. Wouldn't want to crack a carbon fiber hood by drilling into it. I'm sure thermalset polymers like to crack if you do it wrong...
I like how it kind of blends with the dark grey car, but still looks aggressive! You should consider painting those mesh fin guards black I think that would look cool. Looks like chicken wire when it's silver.

Looks great Dustin, Seibon from what I've read makes great carbon fiber products. I also like the rear trunk spoiler they make for the 2015+ WRX. You answered a good question regarding the vented sides of the hood. I too wondered is water an issue. I was also shock that the hood scoop lining that directs air flow to the top mounted inter-cooler was not included or are you supposed to transfer those parts from the OEM stock hood? Congrats again!!!!

Unfortunately the lack of the intercooler funnel piece on the hood is a deal breaker for me. It's too bad, that thing looks absolutely incredible. How can Seibon neglect to match the design of the stock hood like that?
Great videos so far, you have a new subscriber! How is the durability of the hood. Are you worried about closing it too hard and cracking anything, rock chips, etc. Did you do any prep to keep it from yellowing or fading other than the wax?
Dustin, have you considered drilling holes for the OEM clips? I've been considering this hood as well and spoke with a Seibon rep who mentioned drilling holes. I would think as long as the hood represents the same thickness etc that it would be possible, at least for the IC scoop. Also, you might want to fab some easy to install/deinstall rain guards to flow the water one direction or the other. I hate dirty engine bays :) And, have you noticed any reduction in operating temperature? Air intake temp etc? When it gets to be mid summer. Nice Vid!

Had a question about the latch did u have to put a spacer or different latch to make this work for some reason mine doesn't latch it hits the top of the bumper?

The only thing I’d worry about with the vents is maybe rain build up on the top of the battery could possibly short it out.

Seibon has a dry carbon fiber hood for the WRX that would fit your matte vinyl really well.
