- This French bulldog was found on a meat truck in China in really bad shape, but she never gave up. She made an amazing transformation and flew to the United States, where she went on the ultimate road trip with three other bulldogs to finally meet her new family!

As much as I love seeing this video, my heart really hurts for the hundreds of thousands of dogs who DON'T get the chance at a wonderful life full of love. Thinking about all those innocent boys and girls who are still trapped in those cages makes me so angry and sad

It is so heartbreaking. No animal deserves to be killed to be eaten.
I know, it breaks my heart too. But you just have to realize more and more people are doing this and more and more dogs are being saved. My mom is Turkish, and when we used to go there for vaca 10+ years ago, stray dogs were ignored and had no real rescue options, but now even in Turkey you see people with dogs on a leash, dog accessory stores, rescue shelters, rehab shelters, and vets. There is hope, & it gets better every day.

All of the people who took part in rescuing Pearl and getting her across the country to her forever home are absolutely selfless loving people! Pearl will be able to live her best life now and she totally deserves it! What a sweet creature! 🐾❤️🐾
Absolutely, they should be applauded. But who ever made the video should be punished for lying. They tried to make it look more dramatic by claiming the vets were not optimistic. But in truth, the post on screen said, that they are NOT CONCERNED because there is nothing abnormal and she is eating well, therefore it should be ok. I hate it when people lie to make them look better or whatever. It's just immoral.

Slaughterhouse....just an unbelievable word to be associated with any dog isn't it. They will sit, beg, stay, lay down, roll over, guide you across the street, pick you up when you are down, and make you smile. And yet still they are food for humans in parts of Asia. I find it despicable that nations still do this. Thank god for the people who go out of their way to save these beautiful dogs. You are all angels in disguise💜💜💜💜
Cows, pigs and sheep also have to go to a slaughterhouse and it is no better for them. Pigs are very intelligent and cows very loving and sheep will also respond to love and kindness. As a race we are vile to all animals, but thank God there are people like the ones in these videos who balance it out somewhat. The little dog in this video is a beauty and I am so glad she got a second chance at life.

@@daryeusford9696 They have a higher percentage of recovery than people do. Of course not all dogs can forgive, sometimes the things we do to them is just too much. But dogs lack the petty traits that a lot of humans have which is why they can forgive easier.

The festival of dog eating has absolutely nothing to do with hunger. It's a 3 day celebration where the people bring in caged dogs and they are killed by being beaten to death. The Chinese tradition says the more terrorized, traumatized and terrified the dogs are at death, the better the meat tastes. There are videos here on TH-cam demonstrating the sickening ritual.

She has a wonderful mama! I was so glad to hear her mention a prosthetic for Pearl. I think she has enough of her leg there to do that. That would make it so much easier for her and not as much wear on her hips. Thank you everyone for getting involved and saving this little treasure! ❤️❤️
As the owner of 2 french bulldogs, Pearl's story made me cry. Poor pup! I am so thankful that she was saved just in time. Pearl has so much love to give. The dogmeat industry must stop. Dogs are our friends. They were bred to keep us safe and/or to be our companions.

I’ve been following the work of Slaughterhouse Survivors for a while now and I remember seeing Pearl for the first time and believing she was definitely not going to make it. I feel so happy seeing her life now. The work of HSH and Roadogs is beyond words ❤️

Our crAzy Life very small amount of chinese people eat it, and they stopped for a while. then, pigs and cows got infected and so rural areas had to bring back the disgusting method of dog meat, but trust me, i’m chinese, i know some people that have faced it, and they are disgusted by what they had to do and wish that there was any other thing to do and not kill dogs. many chinese people love dogs dearly for their loyalty, so they don’t want to kill them.

God bless you all for rescuing Pearl from a horrific fate and giving her a new and much better life. I agree, she would do much better with a prostatic and some therapy, but the most important right now is lots of love and care in a forever home.

Eating a dog is no more or less savage than eating any other animal. What is different than eating for example a pig? Pigs are actually smarter than dogs, they feel fear, pain, joy, love and try to protect their families and those around them (even in the cruel slaughterhouses).
No animal should be more or less deserving than others, it is all the way our brains have been washed since kids that have numbed us to be insensitive to the torture that some species are subject too.

Awwe, Pearls foster mama loved her. The tears, when saying goodbye gave her away. So, So glad little pearl found her forever home. I adopted a rescue about 5 states away from where I'm at....but WOW, Pearl has more travel miles under her belt than I do. China to California, California road trip ALL THE WAY ACROSS the USA. Impressive!! Thank YOU rescuers, Fosters and Future forever homes.
I absolutely adore this video. I also adopted a disabled pet and gave her a good life unfortunately she perished after some years but she sure enjoyed herself while she was here! She too had a bad leg but she got around just fine! God bless everyone in this video that helped Pearl she surely deserved it!

I wish we could show love to all shapes and sizes of animals. So glad this dog was rescued and I hope she lives a full and happy life. ♡ Though at least dogs are viewed in a positive light. Other animals...not so fortunate. Livestock, wolves and foxes and coyotes, deer, and rodents, especially mice.

Fox. We cannot extend it to mice as they over breed and destroy crops that ppl need. I kept thinking of other breeds throughout re-reading comments. The dodo shows how loving and affectionate many animals can be. If this world survives, there has to be vegans and a whole shift of thinking. All this greedy stuffing of meat is not good for people or animals.

But instead of using methods to kill them like glue traps, poison, etc. We should learn more about them and find more effective ways of protecting our crops. I am so sorry, Gale. The passing of a beloved pet is so hard - they are not pets/animals, they are family. I've lost 4 and I still hurt from their passing. Perhaps one day, you'll adopt a family member from a shelter to fill a small part in you and bring you a sense of peace and happiness. Hugs to you for donating to these volunteer angels!
