  • In today's video, Kyle Asay breaks down how anyone searching for a job on LinkedIn should be reaching out to both recruiters and hiring managers to get a step ahead!
As a Regional Vice President at a large tech company, Kyle receives tons of LinkedIn requests from jobseekers.
Job candidates should be trying to connect with recruiters and hiring mangers on LinkedIn...but most have no idea how to do it properly.
Kyle shares a detailed LinkedIn message example that is proven to get responses from hiring managers and recruiters.
These tips will not only serve Account Executives, SDRs and BDRs in the tech sales (SaaS) industry - but also anyone looking to score a new job and make great new connections on LinkedIn.

Dang. I need a shovel to move all these gold nuggets you be droppin', Kyle!
Great point when you talked about removing burden from the hiring manager you are reaching out to and I have seen you mention this approach in other content as well.

I made it through five interviews at Mongo earlier this year. Sadly didn’t make the final cut but this is helpful. Thanks for the insight! I’m considering getting one of the associate certifications and reapplying.

If you see a job you are interested in applying for, do you do this first or put in the application first? I'm learning this kind of stuff new and would take any suggestions. Thanks

I think you should do both - that way you are in the system when you reach out

Kyle, it was so generous of you to put this out there for us. It’s quite helpful, and it’s obvious you really do care about helping us job searchers in this crazy market, even if you don’t have hours to spend letting us pick your brain 😉. Thank you for this!

It's wild that people would get upset or be so self focused to think that you'd have time for the hundreds of these a day. Going to be difficult to manage up or even be a decent seller if they can't take 2 seconds to put themselves in your shoes and imagine how busy and what your priorities are. It also doesn't bode well for how they'll handle calls (not doing enough research up front or thinking about what the director/vp/exec they're talking to actually cares about, and instead being totally self focused)
    Appreciate you sharing this stuff
