I don’t think people find him boring because he’s powerful, I think they dislike his Boy Scout personality and find him to be too perfect. Whereas the Sentry is the polar opposite of that. But that’s just my opinion.

You clearly didn't read the last series of sentry comics. It's explained that sentry was unique and was the only one capable of getting this power from that serum because there was something unique about his genetic code. Someone else went back in time to get the serum and used it and they immediately got vaporized from the inside and died. Sentry was the only person that was able to survive it.

For the love of God, stop calling Sentry "Marvel's 'Superman'". He's not. If you want Marvel's "Superman", look at either Hyperion, or Gladiator (Kallark, a combination of Kal-El and Clark, by Marvel's own admission). @@vincentgan7873 Deathbattle battle uses compositions so their arguments are bogus. They take all feats from a characters entire existence even if it's a different version and throw them all in. They other times will purposely nerf another character down to a limited pool of abilities, while granted their opponent all of their feats and gear. Link vs Cloud is extremely guilty of this as you can make anyone win if you cherry pick who gets what as Link had all the gear of the entire zelda series, while Cloud got basic materia. They use nonsense like Starscream vs Rainbow Dash, they limited Starscream to the top speed of an actual F-15 despite he flies thru space on multiple occasions , and gave some copout that his nullray doesn't harm organic beings. I get it was supposed to be a gag battle, but this was some weaksauce copouts to what Starscream loses. Hulk and Doomsday really depends on what versions being brought to fight as Doomsday been punched out plenty of times. Outside of Hunter Prey when he still had his new car smell in full effect to where he tanked Omega beams, he has been brought down by far less after than. A bunch of kryptonians punched him silly as a gang, so not as if only Superman managed to KO him. Steel exploded him and he took a long time to regenerate from it. There's no reason the Hulk can't punch out most versions of Doomsday since it's eben done enough times.

The energy raging out across the city, the swirling inferno of golden energy that was swirling around them during the fight was all being expelled from Sentry that were attacking Hulk in multiple ways. One way specifically we know that it was effecting Hulk is that he was releasing more of it than he ever had before and is why Reed Richards said he has never bust out this much power before. He didn’t say strength or muscle he said power. Then another specific effect we know that his energy had on Hulk the entirety of their fight is it was calming him. Whether it burned, warped space or time or something else like matter manipulation the comic doesn’t say, but it does say he was unleashing like he never has before, and Sentry was praising how good it feels to go all out

Okay that is a debatable point. On one hand he may have been doing his best, but that is WHILE holding back the Void. So even if he isn’t “holding back” he is still holding his other side back while fighting Hulk in that fight.

It says both were because they were destroying the city. Sentry just started losing control of his power which was about to fully erupt until he restrained himself enough to let banner knock him out. Hope that helps

Dan is wrong about Doomsday. The Doomsday that came back after the Imperiex War WASN'T a clone. It was the same Doomsday. Luthor just put his skeleton in a tank to speed up his regeneration, and tried to add Kryptonian DNA to him to make him vulnerable to kryptonite and therefore controllable. That's why he was weaker. But his body purged the Kryptonian DNA, and he returned to normal after that. Physically speaking, Doomsday would absolutely beat the brakes off of Sentry, and it's not even close. Sentry COULD win, though, by staying out of Doomsday's reach and using his other powers to remove Doomsday from the battlefield. But straight up with the hands? Sentry gets WRECKED.

Sentry literally states before the fight to Tony that he didn't wanna fight hulk because he was suffering from immense agarophobia and wouldn't be able to use his full power set and was limited. He was going all out with what he had at the time which wasn't his full power set. He was working with what he could do with his poor mental state. That was his full power but AT THAT TIME but wasn't his ACTUAL FULL POWER.
I always feel so bad reading the Sentry stories from the around the Dark Avengers arc. The core comics surrounding the character touched on some very interesting concepts of power amplifying both the good and bad within us all and his standalone comics had a really meditative attitude on self control and inner demons surrounding his drug addiction and severe mental health issues. Unfortunately him taking on a sort of "superman" mantle meant that in a lot of the offshoot comics around there he became a punching bag and litmus test to scale other heroes and villains off of whatever story was being told by that writer. It really wish washed expectations around him and gave him very inconsistent writing because how much different writers were using him to fullfill different story roles. There was this really excellent feeling towards the Siege arc where Norman Osborn starts calling him The Angel of Death as the void has mostly taken over at that point. It gave this air that the Void had always had that he was sort of the "unlocked" potential of Sentry and the dark end of his personality without restraint, while Bob himself was about the restraint and struggle it takes for someone with a dark past to be the best of us.
Molecule Man did say that the original Beyonder was more powerful than he was...it was never said to what degree, but all the multiverse powerful beings feared the Beyonder. If anyone could defeat Sentry, I could see it being the original Beyonder.

I know this isn't Marvel or DC or even an American comic at all, but I'd like to see what would happen if any one or multiple of the traditional characters were pitted against Darkside from the anime Darkside Blues. He can literally unmake people by thinking about it, and he can destroy an entire city as collateral damage with a single attack that he does while standing still with his hands in his pockets. From what I understand, he created himself in an antimatter dark universe and doesn't age. He has taken damage, but it almost seemed like it was just so he could have the experience of it but continued without any negative effect whatsoever. He bled, but it didn't seem to be of any concern as if he could bleed indefinitely and never run out of blood, not that he would because he does stop bleeding when he felt like it. That said, it's been a long time since I've seen that movie, and I might be forgetting or misremembering something so I could be incorrect in my assumption, but I think he could be a real problem for any character he's put up against. If I'm correct and he can unmake people with a thought, then I don't see how anyone can stop him. Also, and once again I could be wrong about this, but if he is only damaged when he allows it to happen just so he can have the experience of a living being and when he's satisfied he just continues existing unfazed then he's unstoppable as well as unsurvivable. I know I wrote alot but if anyone who reads this can let me know that either I'm wrong or I'm on to something, or am I right about some things and wrong about other things, and if so what and what. The Dark Avengers run explained it. The fight against Molecule Man was one example. Every time he needed new powers he was just able to figure out how to do them, better than anyone. He didn't know he could resurrect or control particles until he had to. The last issue before Siege explained it. He had powers from God. This is confusing in the Marvel comics because there are many gods like Odin, Zeus, and the supreme being is The One Above All. Anyways, they showed the Void being the Angel of Death in Egypt killing the firstborn son of every Egyptian in 1600 BCE. So it's Yahweh but it's confusing because they haven't established where this god is in this universe. They kind of implied it's a power above everything. They were never specific with the Sentry.

I thought of a way to introduce sentry, yall remember how in deadpool wolverine, the tva talks about the time anchors and that logan was one and because he died , the timeline becomes erased. Well i bet a super smart omega genius level intelligence created an articial time anchor, that person would be sentry. An immortal being probably nerfed for movie purpose, powerful enough to hold his timeline together until, kang shows up and they fight. You know what, sentry was a creation of a kang variant. This fight lead to the destruction of sentries universe and hes left in a void. You clearly didn't read the last series of sentry comics. It's explained that sentry was unique and was the only one capable of getting this power from that serum because there was something unique about his genetic code. Someone else went back in time to get the serum and used it and they immediately got vaporized from the inside and died. Sentry was the only person that was able to survive it.

If you want Marvel's "Superman", look at either Hyperion, or Gladiator (Kallark, a combination of Kal-El and Clark, by Marvel's own admission). They other times will purposely nerf another character down to a limited pool of abilities, while granted their opponent all of their feats and gear.
Link vs Cloud is extremely guilty of this as you can make anyone win if you cherry pick who gets what as Link had all the gear of the entire zelda series, while Cloud got basic materia. They use nonsense like Starscream vs Rainbow Dash, they limited Starscream to the top speed of an actual F-15 despite he flies thru space on multiple occasions , and gave some copout that his nullray doesn't harm organic beings. I get it was supposed to be a gag battle, but this was some weaksauce copouts to what Starscream loses.
Hulk and Doomsday really depends on what versions being brought to fight as Doomsday been punched out plenty of times. Outside of Hunter Prey when he still had his new car smell in full effect to where he tanked Omega beams, he has been brought down by far less after than. A bunch of kryptonians punched him silly as a gang, so not as if only Superman managed to KO him. Steel exploded him and he took a long time to regenerate from it. There's no reason the Hulk can't punch out most versions of Doomsday since it's eben done enough times.
Sentry doesn't even need his body to survive. Sentry wins.

Dan is wrong about Doomsday. The Doomsday that came back after the Imperiex War WASN'T a clone. It was the same Doomsday. Luthor just put his skeleton in a tank to speed up his regeneration, and tried to add Kryptonian DNA to him to make him vulnerable to kryptonite and therefore controllable. That's why he was weaker. But his body purged the Kryptonian DNA, and he returned to normal after that.
Physically speaking, Doomsday would absolutely beat the brakes off of Sentry, and it's not even close. Sentry COULD win, though, by staying out of Doomsday's reach and using his other powers to remove Doomsday from the battlefield. But straight up with the hands? Sentry gets WRECKED.

But Sentry has other powers that would let him beat Doomsday by removing him from the battlefield and making him someone else's problem, or putting him somewhere that he's no one's problem. So, in THAT way, Sentry can beat Doomsday, just as Superman can beat Doomsday in that way.
But Doomsday is THE greatest hand to hand threat in DC or Marvel. No one is beating him hand to hand. Not even Sentry.

I always feel so bad reading the Sentry stories from the around the Dark Avengers arc. The core comics surrounding the character touched on some very interesting concepts of power amplifying both the good and bad within us all and his standalone comics had a really meditative attitude on self control and inner demons surrounding his drug addiction and severe mental health issues.
Unfortunately him taking on a sort of "superman" mantle meant that in a lot of the offshoot comics around there he became a punching bag and litmus test to scale other heroes and villains off of whatever story was being told by that writer. It really wish washed expectations around him and gave him very inconsistent writing because how much different writers were using him to fullfill different story roles.
There was this really excellent feeling towards the Siege arc where Norman Osborn starts calling him The Angel of Death as the void has mostly taken over at that point. It gave this air that the Void had always had that he was sort of the "unlocked" potential of Sentry and the dark end of his personality without restraint, while Bob himself was about the restraint and struggle it takes for someone with a dark past to be the best of us.

I know this isn't Marvel or DC or even an American comic at all, but I'd like to see what would happen if any one or multiple of the traditional characters were pitted against Darkside from the anime Darkside Blues. He can literally unmake people by thinking about it, and he can destroy an entire city as collateral damage with a single attack that he does while standing still with his hands in his pockets. From what I understand, he created himself in an antimatter dark universe and doesn't age. He has taken damage, but it almost seemed like it was just so he could have the experience of it but continued without any negative effect whatsoever. He bled, but it didn't seem to be of any concern as if he could bleed indefinitely and never run out of blood, not that he would because he does stop bleeding when he felt like it. That said, it's been a long time since I've seen that movie, and I might be forgetting or misremembering something so I could be incorrect in my assumption, but I think he could be a real problem for any character he's put up against. If I'm correct and he can unmake people with a thought, then I don't see how anyone can stop him. Also, and once again I could be wrong about this, but if he is only damaged when he allows it to happen just so he can have the experience of a living being and when he's satisfied he just continues existing unfazed then he's unstoppable as well as unsurvivable. I know I wrote alot but if anyone who reads this can let me know that either I'm wrong or I'm on to something, or am I right about some things and wrong about other things, and if so what and what. Thank you.

Read the fight again and pay attention to what you're looking at, Sentry was having a panic attack and a strong case of agoraphobia whenever Reed asked him to fight Hulk, Sentry still tried to but soon realized that he was unstable. The ONLY reason Hulk was able to even damage Sentry was because he himself was asking to be stopped, he was quite literally asking Hulk to hurt him... We've literally SEEN that Sentry doesn't even need to fight Hulk since he's able to just reverse his transformation by manipulating the gamma inside of his body, inform yourself before commenting nonsense

I get and see the resemblance of Sentry to Captain America....that they both have "something unique in his genetic code" or he's unique from others who took the serum. BUT the origin is still very lame. Remember, the supposed "super serum" was just created on a planet Earth laboratory. Meaning, it's just "man made". The Dark Avengers run explained it. The fight against Molecule Man was one example. Every time he needed new powers he was just able to figure out how to do them, better than anyone. He didn't know he could resurrect or control particles until he had to. The last issue before Siege explained it. He had powers from God. This is confusing in the Marvel comics because there are many gods like Odin, Zeus, and the supreme being is The One Above All.
Anyways, they showed the Void being the Angel of Death in Egypt killing the firstborn son of every Egyptian in 1600 BCE. So it's Yahweh but it's confusing because they haven't established where this god is in this universe. They kind of implied it's a power above everything. They were never specific with the Sentry.
