Hi Normski, The TH-cam algorhythm did me proud today, introducing me to to your site. I have exactly the same helmet problem - no D rings. Order placed straight a way from your BMW? shop and duly subscribed. Thank you.
Congratulations Norm to the new Honda. I am following your videos since a while and I just saw the new acquisition. I am riding the GS adventure myself and my wife rides the 1200 RS. I am tempted to buy an older GW just for the comfort and fun. We are hoping to see nice autumn ride videos soon from your lovely countryside. Greetings from Aachen Germany
Hi Frank, Thank you for your comments...yes although I totally love the GS, a go anywhere bike, there is a comfort about the Goldwing, especially for the pillion, that makes it truly remarkable. In an ideal garage you would have one of each eh!
That is a very elegant idea, but i'm afraid the weak link in the system is the cable. Whatever the thickness of the cable, it is still merely a cable. The strands can easily be cut one by one with simple cutting pliers. I lost my Schuberth that way. Of course the thief requires a bit of time and the nerve to do that, but in my humble opinion one could better use a chain. The lock brand you mentioned offers several of them. Stay safe.. Ed.
Interesting. Wunderlich make the Helmlock system which attaches under the seat of BMW bikes but their cable is a mere 4mm thick. At first I bought an 8mm braded cable and thought that although it is twice as thick as Wunderlich I could do better😵💫. So searched the market until I found this Kryptonite 10mm braded cable. Appreciate that with the right cutters anything can be cut, but this cable would need some serious bolt croppers. Not to be left on at night and in a well used and safest car park you can find😳
@@richardho5955 Hi Richard, yes I am fine. Sorry there have been no videos. I started the ‘bike trips’ around the Peak etc last year, but somehow had very little interest😵💫, compared to the rebuilding views. Problem with rebuilding bikes, which many subscribers have requested more, is that they cost so much excluding the hundred plus hours work. I have done three in total and each have only sold for half the cost😬. Hope to come up with more ideas🧐
As much as I love your GS videos and your GoldWing adventures, I’m just happy to hear that you are keeping well and enjoying life. I’m sure you have priorities, as we all do and I’m sure they’ll work themselves out! If I had the time I’d probably find a restoration project, video document that rebuild, then flog the bike and use the proceeds to go on another trip! 2 birds, one stone! Take care and ride safe! 🏍️😊👍🍺🇿🇦

Thank you for the solution. Please keep the video intros as short as possible. 2 3 seconds max. It is becoming very annoying because some channels have intros as long as 60 seconds.
Leave it to Normski to figure it out!!!! Any regrets Norm from going to the GW over the BMW. I'm still undecided whether I go back to another bmw. That GW looks mighty nice!!!! Cheers, Freddy
Hi Freddy, there was a tear in my eye as I said goodbye to the GS 🥲. Has to be when it is a bike that will go anywhere in the world, but if your wife can take it no more then you leave to travel the world or do something else! The Goldwing is totally different and also wonderful in different ways. I am getting used to it now, how to lean into corners and trust the automatic box to change down into bends etc. Need a really good tour to become at one with the bike, but it is growing on me!
again a brilliant idea norm..............
Thank you so much, appreciate your comment🤗

Then I suggest you plan that tour and get going!!!! 😂
