This was definitely one of the best reviews I've seen on TH-cam, being out on the streets in an interesting place using the thing with good information and sample images, with higher quality video/sound than I've seen in most places, etc. Reviews should always be like this, although it could be a lot of work to maintain such high quality for every review.
I have to admit that the first time I saw your videos I thought you were ridiculous, but then I understood your sense of humor and began to like every and each of your reviews. Now I can spend all day watching your videos man. Thanks for taking your time to do this and share your knowledge with us.
Hand on field test are highly underrated. Seriously Jarred - awesome job and a great review of this little beast of a camera. Keep up the excellent work!
Your production value and flow is constantly reaching new heights. Great review. I loved seeing Poland and a great lengthly review of the functionality plus quality the camera puts out.
Jared Polin This is seriously the best video you've ever posted and the best review I've ever watched. Organized, flowing, well-edited, informative, and detailed without dragging on for too long. Love it.

Now this was a breath of fresh air. As some others already expressed, this truly felt interesting to watch. The blooper reel bonus was golden! Stay awesome Fro!
Yup, I like this kind of review ... for the same reason I enjoy the DigitalRev reviews. They're out-and-about, real world stuff .... highly engaging! Are we likely to see more out-and- about stuff, Fro? I'm sure we wont expect you to travel the world every week ... local is great :D
Good job Jared. I've seen a lot of your reviews over the last couple of years, and even though I like your style, I loved your approach in this field review. I guess it's impossible not to be thrilled wearing a D810, and you got totally lucky with all that action going on in Poland that day. Please, make some more field reviews, if you get the chance. You are a great shooter, and always fun to watch.
Wow, this review was awesome. and from reading some of the comments i see i'm not the only one who loved it. I guess it was the powerful combination of : great technical info (lots of specs that give us a precise idea about the d810), shooting tips( use your bag for stability, offer money and photos to the break ddancers) and being out there in the street shooting, and encountering people. i really love your channel, never miss a show, but i must say this episode was special.
Jared, i've always watched camera reviews and i've learn a lot of things from it, but your videos where always the more reliable to me. Congratulations, you rock! (sorry for the possible bad english)
Beautiful camera, beautiful pictures....the pictures say it all. I haven't always been a fan of your vids, Jared, but this is your best you've ever done. I have no problems with Nikon; I'm just too invested in Canon to switch.
I must say, your videos have improved tremendously, and they still are improving for the better! I really enjoyed this review, and I hope more success come to your future! :)
Well, well, well done, Jared. The first review of that camera that I didn't bored me. Best of all: it wasn't fonboy-ish and finally I could see some images coming out of it without the weird colors that I witness a lot by a couple of other Nikon shooters. Now I'm convinced that it's the user not the camera who does this.
I've seen some of your clips before but didn't particularly liked them, but this was a FUN clip! Also, I was curious whether you'll mention the things I myself noticed comparing my D800 and the new D810 and you did, at least some of them. Great job again on THIS clip! :)
I just got back from warsaw and those dancers were so awesome! Their show were awesome no matter I didnt understand a word! I felt in love to warsaw, expecially the "walking street" old town to centrum. And btw. Great video!
Been looking for a full frame camera for a project I'm working on for Australian War Veterans called The Victoria Cross Sequence. This video sold me on the D810, thank you. Good work, keep an eye out for the book.
Do more of these videos please. I appreciate Rawtalks and I do watch them, but in several instances the talks were lengthy and not to the point. This type of videos got me hooked to your channel in the first place. I like seeing your photography work and how you actually shoot as I comprehend better this way. I have been learning a lot from you for years now and I do shoot RAW. Thank you for all your efforts. I really appreciate them.
I have to give you credit when credit is do, enjoyed the video, nice job, it's nice to see you acting like an intelligent person speaking to adults without any un needed junior high school antics, and judging by the other comments, I think your viewers agree that this was one of your best videos, I just wish you did some night time high ISO shots, the D810 is a really sweet camera, the image quality looks top notch, it's probably the best full frame camera on the market, I just wish Nikon put out the same camera in a mirrorless that was 400 grams lighter, and with a fully articulating touch screen, when you were shooting the video I thought to bad he doesn't have the Tamron 24/70 f2.8 with VC you could've had image stabilization, also I have shot my entire photography life without a vertical grip, and I am totally comfortable without one, and prefer to not have the extra weight and size, I would rather just carry an extra battery around
This is probably the best review you have done so far!!! Oh, and, um, you said that you recommend this camera, so, um, I don't really have the money for it, so, could you give one to me for free? I mean, you have the D4, so pff... who cares about the D810 right? Haha, ha!!! Um, please?
Hey Jared! This video was amazing and very useful. I'd would love a video for true beginners that are just getting into the cameras and the photography, that'd be great!
I think this is closer to the camera store style imo but there is nothing wrong with that as the format provides really good information while not being an overload. Good stuff Jared.
Its kinda a shame that I have been ignoring this channel for a while because of all the teaser videos and click bait type things. I almost passed this one up but it goes into some good detail. This is the kind of thing I originally signed up for this channel when I was first getting serious about photography as a hobby. DRTV and Matt Granger don't really use the heavy push to try to get views so I always look forward to those like I used to look forward to this channel.
There are no "teaser" videos, not even sure what that means. There is no "heavy push" or click bait. Oh check out a few of the thumbnails by someone you mentioned. naked woman....... that's click bait right.
Jared has the best personality of anyone in the photography community and he offers hundreds of hours of free material... As somebody who had a mere 4,000 subscribers to my tech channel in the past, the amount of time and effort Jared puts into this FREE channel is astounding and I think he can use whatever strategies he wants to get us to watch. But I agree, this is also the type of video I'm subscribed for.
I guess it just isn't for me anymore but there are enough people who subscribe and watch that it doesn't matter so I just unsubscribed and removed the page from Facebook a while back because it was getting annoying. So forget I said anything. Sorry to be a downer.
Joshua Kleiner I respect your opinion and I think it's important for Jared to hear his viewers' opinions. You don't need to apologize for your opinion man
I don't really know how Jared's videos usually are... but I'd love to see more videos like this one. It was great. Very impressed, and I'll definitely pay attention to his future reviews.
Hey Jared great review you have made in Warsaw from such a historical place. BTW I'm about to buy a full frame Nikon camera but I'm now between D750 and D810 and a bit confused which one choose?
Not related to the review but I love how the crowd reacted to the dancers around 4:48 showing them some love. Where is that? I heard Poland in the beginning but didn't catch it. Also, it would be great if you added the lens(and settings?) you shot with on the photos when you showed them on screen. Great review anyway, was looking forward to it!
iEnzoPL Yes indeed is in Warsaw Poland, We visited Poland (Warsaw & Krakow) and they are lovely people, very humble and friendly when you spend time to know them. By the way Jared this is one of the best reviews videos on Nikon D810 I've seen CONGRATS VERY WELL DONE !
Madrid Cucho Yeah that's exactly what I thought from this video, they look really down to earth and generally cool :) I also agree on the review, this one paired with Tony Northrup's one is the best I saw.
Great video, I learnt about the camera and a bit about street photography as well. I am sure I can hear something at 12:49, like Stephen muttering "true" behind the camera when you say the D810 is better than the D800
Just a quick note, the reason DSLR cameras doesn't let you record more than 29 minutes of continuous video is because if a device allows you record for a longer period, then it becomes a video camera. In Europe, this means you need to pay a special tax that can go up to a 1000$ per unit and companies prefer to simply limit the recording time so they don't have to pay anything.
Regarding the battery grip: I completely agree with you. Even if you do not need the extra battery (I don't), the grip makes it so much easier to shoot vertical when you are using heavy "Trinity" glass. Peace.
Nice Review Jared. Firstly how is Lil. Prayers for her speedy recovery. Coming t the D810 awesome review. Many of us out here confused which one to go for D81 or D750 as some pro and enthusiast like me. Surffice to say the D750 has borrowed all what u have saif from D4s N D810 like (D810vs D750better has a star) 36mpx8/24.5mpx, ISO64*/100, Speed 1/8000*/1/4000, No OLPF*/AA Filter, Fixed screen/Tilting Screen*, Pro Like size n metal body / Pros & enthusiast Monocoque, CAM 3500FX -2Ev vs CAM 3500FX II AF* -3EV sensor, etc. So much so confuses people like us and looking forward from u for the D750 review, comparison & suggestion.
Just noticed you use your left eye to look through the viewfinder. I do so, too, but I've seen most people using their right eye, which seems to make more sense since you have more room for pushing buttons with your right hand and do not have the whole camera on your nose, and felt kind of weird using my left one even though it was a reflex and seemed natural to me. Good to know I'm not alone.
Great review Jared. One thing though, I think when you're slowing down footage, you want to be more than doubling the frame rate with your shutter speed. On the footage you slowed down there was still some motion blur. Not sure if it's that's THE way to do it, but it seems better when there's no motion blur in slow mo shots to me.
this was a great video. thanks. question: what are your white balance settings? i see you have great color in the videos and stills and im having trouble achieving that? was it done in post or what?
One thing i have never heard mention of in any videos about the Nikon d810 and something i have noticed is how beefy the battery is! It pushes probably about 30% more then other cameras from my understanding... I spent a full day out shooting filled a 64gig card and only lost 2 battery bars... I believe there is 5 or 6... This camera is the tits... I was gonna get the d750 but everywhere was sold out and so i sprung for this and i am glad i did!
Jared, that part where two guys just came over and you said "yes can I help you?", that cracked me up. Can you tell me what happened there? Why did they come over?
About your issue with the focus modes, I wish the D810 could save profiles for your settings. That way you could save one for AF-S with single focus mode and one for AF-C with group area AF and quickly switch between them. My D7000 has that feature, I don't really use it though because I almost always shoot with the same settings. But I think this would be a useful feature for a pro who wants to switch quickly for action shots.
Jared! You should definitely go back to making more videos like this. It's the "you never know what he'll do next" videos that make your channel! Bring it back! Good stuff, man.
This video has set the bar higher for your channel, bravo to the fro!
Photographic Time Thank you. We have been working hard to raise the bar higher than others.
Jared Polin You should do a lot more of these videos!
This was definitely one of the best reviews I've seen on TH-cam, being out on the streets in an interesting place using the thing with good information and sample images, with higher quality video/sound than I've seen in most places, etc. Reviews should always be like this, although it could be a lot of work to maintain such high quality for every review.

Kyle Potter thank you
+Jared Polin Very nice review thats how review must be...not talking abt the specs...infact talkng abt how it really works😄
Man it's been fun to see this channel evolve over the years! This is probably your best effort to date...well done!
Your production value and flow is constantly reaching new heights. Great review. I loved seeing Poland and a great lengthly review of the functionality plus quality the camera puts out.
Brian Michael you're welcome.
After watching this, I am convinced that I will be upgrading from my D7000 to a D810 come Xmas. This review was sick sick sick. Many thanks Fro 👍👊
Great review, as others have already said. Good work Jared end and Stephen. Look forward to seeing some out on the streets of Philly videos!
Stuart Watson Thank you.

I hope you enjoyed Warsaw and Poland, really happy to see a vid from you made here. Thx for the insight on the D810!
Stellar review of the camera and very pleasing to see it all shot in Warsaw.
Thanks for another great video, Mr. Fro!
This is one of your best vids to date Jared, Damn!
Wow, this review was awesome. and from reading some of the comments i see i'm not the only one who loved it. This is the coolest review I ever seen. Good work.
Thumbs up Jared, this is your best review so far!
MrBillMorisson Thank you!!!
Awesome job on this video. Great to see you guys raising the bar on the already great content you were putting out.
That review was great Jared! Looking forward to see more reviews in that style!
Very good quality video, Jared. I'm not a Nikon shooter, but love to follow the other gear and the D810 sounds and looks like it's a BEAST!
This is the best review of the d810 in internet. Thanks!
Very good Jared, this kind of reviews I think are the best ways to show the capabilities of the cameras, do more of them.
Miroslav Marinov I agree, thank you.
I'm not sure what I preferred. The review or the bloopers. Great video Jared!
Awesome video Fro, well done - love my D810! Those 2 guys that came up & stood next to you at the end cracked me up...
Man I missed your camera reviews... Finally! thank you
Beautiful camera, beautiful pictures....the pictures say it all.
Now this is a proper video! well done, especially the clips at the end.. normally 'eh' was actually quite amusing! also well done with the review
One of your best reviews Jared. Very helpful... I'm sold!
Woah, wasn't expecting this. Definitely your best review yet! You just set the bar higher your channel Fro.
PS Glad to see you left the ego at home.
The blooper wheel was cool and great video!
This was actually pretty good, man. I like these "real world" reviews.
I love your channel! I was so surprised seeing this review made in Warsaw, because that's my city ;)
Great job, great reviews!
Well, well, well done, Jared. The first review of that camera that I didn't bored me. Great vid Jared, in fact it's by far the best review of this camera I've seen.
Thanks a ton for sharing all the valuable info.
cheers
Tony
A field test review with consumer cameras like d3200 would be great! Loving your videos Jared! Keep it up!
This video is definitely worth a like, very informative about the D810 in everyday use. Also, very entertaining!
I've seen some of your clips before but didn't particularly liked them, but this was a FUN clip! Also, I was curious whether you'll mention the things I myself noticed comparing my D800 and the new D810 and you did, at least some of them. Great job again on THIS clip! :)
mrgclips thank you
Jared Polin .I'm relocating to the uk in December. ...I hsve a d800e and d810 and need advise on how to ship them jarid
Thanks Jared! By the way, you are the reason I now shoot RAW, and my pictures improved dramatically since then!
Amazing video! It was almost like a city tour. Loved the ending
Wow, I surely am impressed. Jared should definitely do more video reviews like this one!

Man those are some really nice photos and that video coming out of that. D810 is nice

This review was really awesome! Thank you for giving all these tips and contents.
Looking forward to the D750 review in the same style as this review.
Really good review congratulations
Best video review you ever made, keep improving i really enjoy your videos
Dave Raw thanks.
This is a good review on the camera and it was done differently in Poland and like the end too!!!
I love the contrast in this camera
It's good to hear my native language in your video :) Greetings from Poland.
I have to give you credit when credit is do, enjoyed the video, nice job, it's nice to see you acting like an intelligent person speaking to adults without any un needed junior high school antics, and judging by the other comments, I think your viewers agree that this was one of your best videos, I just wish you did some night time high ISO shots, the D810 is a really sweet camera, the image quality looks top notch, it's probably the best full frame camera on the market, I just wish Nikon put out the same camera in a mirrorless that was 400 grams lighter, and with a fully articulating touch screen, when you were shooting the video I thought to bad he doesn't have the Tamron 24/70 f2.8 with VC you could've had image stabilization, also I have shot my entire photography life without a vertical grip, and I am totally comfortable without one, and prefer to not have the extra weight and size, I would rather just carry an extra battery around

nice review... and thanks for offering direct link for the raw files!
Best review you've ever done.
Jared you are really good at taking photos, i wish your thumbnails for reviews were a bit more interesting, so more people would watch them
Hey Jared! This video was amazing and very useful. I'd would love a video for true beginners that are just getting into the cameras and the photography, that'd be great!
Bla274 That's the FroKnowsPhoto Beginner Guide To Getting Out Of Auto. FroKnowsPhoto.com/guide
Love the drtv style. It was awesome would love to see more of these!
prufesuroak DRTV Style would be to do Voice Overs, i did not do any voice overs.
Please, NO DRTV-style, they have nothing but worthless video...
Jared Polin oh yeah thats true
Jared Polin style, The Fro style as u wish is better imho.
I think this is closer to the camera store style imo but there is nothing wrong with that as the format provides really good information while not being an overload. Good stuff Jared.
So cool to watch your review made in my hometown! Thanks :)

Things In The Light you're welcome.
Hey Jared great review you have made in Warsaw from such a historical place.
BTW I'm about to buy a full frame Nikon camera but I'm now between D750 and D810 and a bit confused which one choose?

Yeah that's exactly what I thought from this video, they look really down to earth and generally cool :)
I also agree on the review, this one paired with Tony Northrup's one is the best I saw.
Awesome video Jared Polin! I loved the out takes at the end too, ever thought about doing a gag reel video?
Great field test but really enjoyed the cut scenes at the end lol
Great video, I learnt about the camera and a bit about street photography as well. I am sure I can hear something at 12:49, like Stephen muttering "true" behind the camera when you say the D810 is better than the D800

I wish there was a north-american version of the firmware without the limitation !
Regarding the battery grip: I completely agree with you. Even if you do not need the extra battery (I don't), the grip makes it so much easier to shoot vertical when you are using heavy "Trinity" glass.

Awesome video Jared & Stephen - thank you.
forgot to mention how awesome the new shutter sounds and feels, much less vibration than with the previous 800 versions.
Awesome review Jared ! I'm looking for some more materials from Warsaw or other cities.
Greetings from Poland :)
Just noticed you use your left eye to look through the viewfinder. the in camera audio is actually really good for what it is! I'm surprised. pleasantly, even.
Excellent presentation and review!
Fantastic video as always!
Hey Jared,I love your videos man. You have a good outlook. I'll keep watching. What lens were you using?
Please do more videos like this. Informative, entertaining, awesome!!
Daniel Ferrara we're working on it.
Jack Holland-Bartlett We did it the proper way.
You want motion blur.... If you don't have the blur it looks jittery and unnatural.
Great review. I enjoyed this "in the field" presentation. Also, I added European travel to my "bucket list."
Did you add it because of seeing poland?
Yes and Eastern Europe in general. My ancestors are from SE Italy and I would like to go there, too.
I just picked up the D810. I like it
Great review Jared, Nikon D810 sounds like a great camera but I'm just not sure I need 36 megapixels so it might be the Nikon D750 for me.
It's funny that you're doing this review in Warsaw, Poland because I plan on buying a D810 FOR my trip to Warsaw Poland
What camera was the review itself shoot with? Super nice review btw! One of my favorite layout
Keep doing more videos like this. Good stuff!
Awesome... this is how every camera review should be done!!
this was a great video. thanks. question: what are your white balance settings? i see you have great color in the videos and stills and im having trouble achieving that? was it done in post or what?
One thing i have never heard mention of in any videos about the Nikon d810 and something i have noticed is how beefy the battery is! Great stuff Jared ! waiting on that D750 review however ! :)
eur0thug it's being completed now.
The best D810 Video on the Internet and the Universe :)
