@@NOKOT51 Great to know. Although I dislike Sony colors, I was so tempted by the α7 III when it came out, but decided to wait for any interesting deals later on. THANK GOD I waited all these months. Thank you for the awesome review! I bought my D750 10 days ago and even though I read many "low level short reviews" before and after my purchase yours hands down was the best. I have migrated from, not counting my Nikon film cameras, a D40 to a D90 to a D7100 and I finally made the leap to full frame, and the D750 was the right way to go. For me, there was too much controversy around the D600 and D610. I AM GLAD THAT I WAITED!!!!!
Thank you Jared! The D750 looks to be the one camera that will replace my D7000. I was considering the D810, but the extra $1000 price for the 36MP sensor is too expensive.
Many thanks for possibly the best camera review I have ever seen. Since I started in the days of the black & white darkroom I have seen a few:) You took the d750 through a difficult real world situation which really showed what the camera was capable of...both still & video. Then you provided the raw files for us to decide on them instead of wondering what the reviewers opinion really meant. Thank you very much for a review that actually answered all of my questions about this camera. I see one in my future :) Snuffy
I use the tilt screen for stills especially for long exposures when the camera is mounted on a tripod and down low for wide angle shots, very convenient. Great review Jared well done!

I only shoot 50mm and 85mm in street and been the best fun.
I have the D750 but have never tried shooting video with it. Now at this point I wish it recorded at 4K or better yet 8K, but I can't deny the video you shot looks fantastic. I feel more confident about using it for some video recording. Fabulous review, great information. Thank you Jared! You rock.
This review just saved me from what I now know to have possibly been a big waste of an upgrade haha, turns out this was exactly the type of camera I was needing for my focus and profession I've been really getting immersed in. Feel obliged to throw down a comment. Love the efficient editing and the straight to the point conduct of the whole bit. Easy to keep watching through the end and I now know exactly what I need to do in order to get my work to where I want it to be. Thank you.
3 things I want to see in this, 1) The top CASIO type display has got smaller (When compared to D7000, D7100 & D7200) and I really miss seeing the detail in what i'm shooting at, Whether JPG, RAW or RAW + JPG. Because I switch the modes depending the situation so i have to now press the info button to see what I have selected currently. 2) I feel that the front grip is not fat enough, its great that they have increased the depth of the grip but I would like it would have been little bit fatter than what is right now. 3) Lastly I love the fact that movie record button can be changed to ISO change option, however I really don't like the fact that every time I press dual purpose button like ISO or WB the info display turns on, Specially when changing ISO which your certainly do almost all the time. Because when I'm looking through the view finder & change the ISO all of a sudden I can see the screen lit up. Wish there is a way to turn that off. Other than that, all I can say is WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! This camera just blows my pants away. The problem is when you have such a awesome, brilliant, spectacular, incredible, cool camera your expectations rise up more than it should be, therefore these minor details kinda get in your nerves. But its something I can live with, but without the D750 now I don't think I can live :)
Though I have upgraded to Z9 and S Line glass, I still use the D750 often. Truly a game changer from 7 years ago and still very relevant and great price.
I think the tight grouping of the AF points explains it's superb auto-focusing. My hunch is that by doing so, they made the entire system more sensitive.
Thanks. It was great to be able to come back to this review after using the d750 for 6 months. You had great feedback and I can confirm I agree with all of it. Especially the backlight buttons.
Thanks Jared, great review. While football is hard, lacrosse is harder -- the game moves much faster and the focus of action can move from one side of the field to the other in no time. Thanks to this review I know have a new target for getting out of DX.
Jared I've been watching your videos since I started photography and I have to say this is one you best videos. Thanks for the commitment to your videos and keeping us entertained and educated on new products!
seems that the problem of D750 apears here as well at 7:20, flare from the metal frame of the af focus sensor that is in the bottom part of the mirror box.
Hi Jared, enjoy watching your camera reviews. After watching this one, seriously considering getting a D750( for video(for channel) & stills). Love Nikon for great low light capabilities. Have 2 Nikon D300's use them for capturing lightning during monsoon season here in SE AZ. Thank you for sharing.
The focuspoints are squised into middle because it is meant for later cropping in indesign when layouting a ex. Newspaper page. I know the frustrations of not being able to get into the edge. Good thing there is always manual focus which neatly is put on a turning switch on front left side facing the back of the camera your self. Besides that you can put ae-lock as af-on and turn camera to the side so you can get it out of focuspoint range. Third solution shoot dx-crop. The points fit in nicely there and the many pixels allow a nice cropping too.
I am loving the new video work you guys are doing across all your content, it has really stepped up compared to your older videos... it looks so professional!!
Taking the time to do your research and mostly, watch these hands on reviews from the pro's is the best thing anyone can do before putting down a big chunk of change for a camera, or anything for that matter.
To get the AF points more spread out in the viewfinder you need a bigger module and bigger secondary mirror. That would make the whole system MUCH more expensive and I am not even sure if that would fit into a Nikon body. So they really aren't spread out more on the DX cameras like my D7000. They just cover more of the sensor because it is smaller than a FX sensor and the viewfinder pretty much represents what the sensor sees. But anyway! Great review! I really like the that this camera fits in. It's "better than a D610, but not quite a D810".
Damn it! You convinced me to buy the D750. I have a D7200 and was "swinging" between buying the D7500 or join the team of full frames. And, in the field of FX, which one? I was afraid of such issue of flare in some situations and was waking up in the middle of the night with nightmares. Watching your videos about D750, I hit the hammer and I'll buy it on my trip to Orlando in September. Thanks for the full report. Regards.
the AF points being squashed is due to them using the same cam3500 module for DX and FX cameras, so while it's nicely spread out in DX camera, there will be all squashed in the middle on FX< they really need to develop FX specific CAM modules.
about your comment on the af points at around 21:00 i would assume that the auto focus points are grouped closer to the center to fit dx lenses. when dx lenses are used the outer focus points would place closer to the edge of the frame ;D
The angled screen is also good for photos at low angles, IF you do manual focus. I do this all the time on my gh4 + Nikon glass, of course the gh4 has focus peaking to assist manual focusing.
Can we get an updated review if the d750 still holds up on 2022?? Wanting ro go full frame.. I shoot mostly sports and my research keeps giving the d750 as an option but I'm worried to buy it being so old and need to upgrade again too soon for whatever reason..
+jared polin - the flip out LCD is really handy for high angle work on a tripod. E.g. Shooting detail/abstracts on tall buildings. Also good for low work on a tripod. I've used it for both with manual focus and live view to punch in to refine the focus. (The low work was not my d750 buy my em5 , but same idea)
+Maxwell Starr Sadly the A99 isn't a DSLR though, it is a mirrorless. I think many are still sticking away from Mirrorless cameras until the technology and etc matures more, especially in AF abilities
+Vueey Le Technically speaking the A99 is still a DSLR. DSLR, meaning 'Digital Single Lens Reflex', means that there is a Reflex mirror that reflects light out of the viewing path to aid with framing and focusing. What's different is Sony's implementation of it, where the reflected light goes into an always-on focus system and the mirror never moves. Mirrorless implies no mirror at all, and he smaller size/shorter flange distance that comes with scrapping the mirror. Sony's branding of it as 'SLT' Single Lens Translucent' was unfortunate however because now you have plenty of people saying they're not DSLRs (they're not traditional DSLRs but still DSLRs). But the term 'Reflex' doesn't mean moving mirror, after all, the mirrors didn't move in TLR (Twin-Lens Reflex) cameras like the Rolleiflex.
I'd use the flip out screen for shooting close to the ground macros like small flowers or insects. The problems I've had without a flip out screen include laying in mud, a sore neck, and camera shake. I think this camera looks great BTW, thanks for the review!
Yes. And it's a pain in the arse when you have to focus on eyes and then move the camera to reframe. Do this with an aperture at f1.4 and even that slight movement to reframe can give you blurred eyes.
I guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Kole Melvin i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I agree that the d750 seems to be an awesome piece of equipment (with the right glass). In regards to the tilt screen, I find it very beneficial seeing as I'm not '6"4 for high shots or '4"2 for low shots. The stigma of "if a professional does it then the world is in balance" is bologna (not being negative, don't get me wrong). This my first time checking out the Fro Dude (Jared) and I appreciate his feedback.
Tilty Screens are important also for photos in my opinion. My photo that ended up being featured on the official flickr blog was possible because i was able to frame it correctly by using the tilty screen on my 70D. Otherwise i wouldnt have been able to come up with the shot. It's just unfortunate that Canon hasn't come up with a full frame body with that kind of a screen yet. But if they do, I will definitelly go for it.
The pull out lcd would be good for real estate images where you pull back as far into a corner as poss and room to correct distortion, up to now the vertical viewfinder attachment has been one of the only good quick options, this 'could' improve on this without twisting your back and neck around - I've not tested the actual screen yet.
Hey Jared, I found that my D750 has a little bit of delay when I press the menu or playback button. Actually anything that has to do with waking up the LCD sometime has this 3 second delay before it shows anything on the screen. Do you have that problem too?
I had Nikon Z7, but I have purchased D750, I feel it is much better and various lenses like 80-200, 50 mm are working fine, these were not on AF in Z7.
I shoot stills of pets from ground level. The screen tilt that you find not much use, is indispensable for this. There are other things to shoot from ground level. If your subject is interesting, the shot is enhanced by an angle that most don't get to experience.
I have the Nikon 7100 and thinking up grading to the Nikon 750 after looking at your review. I have a 35 mm and 50 mm prime lenses. My question is which prime lens do you suggest for the D750? I do shoot weddings, landscapes, and some sports. Thanks in advance
Hey Jared! I have a Nikon D700 which is six years old but still working well. I need another camera for events and action photography so have been saving up for the D4s. What are your thoughts about a second lens for me. The D750 looks good but I also know the D4s is outstanding. I am doing wild horse photography so looking for more of an action camera. Plus event photography I can't switch between zoom and wide angle lens so I need two camera bodies. Thanks for any help.
11:14 I heard some old time Nikoners say the opposite, like they changed something on this D750. What did they change if that's true? I'm about to move to Nikon so this is my first one, not that I care having different buttons or something but did they actually change something or that's wrong?
I do portrait photography and weddings but also do sports photography in the fall. I was between the D500 & D750... I have enough to buy a 750 but should I keep saving to get the d500 to be safe for sports or will the 750 be good enough? I'm leaning towards the d500 though because of the AF points, the buffer and because the technology is more recent than the 750 but I like the 750's depth of field and I feel it's better for portrait photography and weddings but not sure which route to go. Wish I could afford both.
I have one for 9 months ago. I regret it. It is unstable: - autofocus does not work at times; - my personal settings tend to disappear; - buffer is slow at times All this resulting in missing shots! I've had it send back to Nikon again! Also I had this "flare issue" so mine was already gone for 2,5 weeks. I have been shooting Nikon DSLR cameras since the Nikkormat FTN. They built solid cameras thoughout the years. Now, I do have my doubts. Not recommended, but hey: you choose
hi Jared Polin really a good review man... as u tested the new nikon d750 what do u think if u compare it to the d810 in the low light performance is it better than d810.. Because i want to upgrade from the dx to the fx but i can not chose between the d810 or d750.. as apro which one is better in iso..note that i am interested in widding photography. thx man
Hi Jared, your reviews are ace, no doubt about that at all. However, I would like to ask you a question about the Nikon D750. I am seriously considering upgrading from a D300s to the D750, and my question to you is; Can we connect a remote trigger cable, because, I can't seem to notice the port from the pics and videos etc... Can you help please ? Regards JNN
hey Jared Polin !.. I am looking to upgrade my system to a full frame now.. I have seen this D750 for a while, and i think i love it a lot. BUT, there is now these mirrorless cameras popping everywhere! Smaller, lighters, easier, extremely good! The only thing is that im not sure they are up to wedding... or am i wrong? Any opinions on it?
I've gone from the Sony A7R to the Fuji X-T1 and here is my opinion on mirrorless cameras after a year of using them. No EVF will never replace a real view finder: an EVF will never replace a viewfinder. Throughout my time using one for about a year I always felt I was starting at a T.V. and not real life. It really didn't seem authentic to me and I'm basing my experience off of the Sony A7R and the Fuji X-T1. I can definitely say the Fuji X-T1 is one of the better EVF’s on the market today. Heres an EVF in a nut shell and why I do not like it. It ruined my sense of surrounding. Reason, what you see through the EVF is not accurate to what your surroundings actually are. With an EVF you have two modes. Live Preview which shows what your shot will look like before you take it. The second is to turn it off. Now that seems like a good idea if you don’t like live preview but alas that does’t help either. Turning off Live Preview will only put your EVF into Auto Gain. The picture through the EVF will always try to stay visibly bight even if your in a dark place. This in turn causes serious noise to show up which is a huge problem for someone like me who’s into astrophotography. No EVF on any camera today can mimic an OVF in the sense of showing you what you’d see with your own eye. The problem with live preview is I was so focused on getting my exposure right that my subjects just weren't their. I say, screw ISO, screw shutter speed. If your subject isn't their than you won't be getting the results you want. In my case being obsessed with the exposure took away from what I like to call taking a photograph with your mind. What good is previewing your shot on a 3 inch screen when you can use your mind. You make an estimate of what it will be. Photography is not an exact science, its not an exact copy of whats their. It's bringing out something that no one else could have noticed. Creating your own perspective. That is what photography is for me and the EVF just completely takes away from that. The major problem I ran into was the amount of lenses made for mirorless cameras. Their are only 7 Full Frame lenses made to fit the Sony 7's right now and 19 crop NEX lenses. 14 lenses being made for the Fuji X Mount. Compare that to Nikon or Canons selection of 200+ lenses Battery Life: Battery life’s pretty low so to prepare to shelve out an extra $200-400 on a battery grip. One charge on a battery will get you around 200-300 shots I’ve found. Most of the battery drainage will be causes by the EVF. To wrap things up, sure if you want something to take with you on a trip out with your friends, something that will fit into your purse. I say if you want a great mirrorless camera get an iPhone 6. Jared makes a good point saying that when it comes down to it, your lenses will begin to weigh more than the body completely defeating the purpose of going mirrorless. I could recommend mirrorless to a street photographer who's not going to be popping on any portrait or wildlife lenses anytime soon. I just take mirrorless cameras as twice the price for half the performance. Just my two cents.
Depends entirely on what you're shooting. For fast action, you're still looking at DSLRs. For anything else, mirrorless can work for you. The quality is there (Fuji, Sony, M43) and the size benefits may be well worth considering. Pro's use these systems with good effect and so can any amateur. But again, it has to fit your style of shooting as always.
Question, when you shoot video do you use a flat picture style and do you edit your videos after like you edit your raw photos? The ability to shoot very flat uncompressed video that is easy to work with after seems to be the most important feature when it comes to shooting video.
In my opinion, your best review that I have seen to date. This is possibly because of the real world setting and subject. Would really like to see what the 810 would do at a high school football game at night, then compare the two to help decide between the two cameras. Looking to finally upgrade from my trusty D700.
I am trying to decide between the D750 or Canon's 5D Miii. I am a hobbyist, but would like to eventually take professional photos by shooting portraits, weddings, etc. Which would you suggest?
In your video about the D500 you said you'd recommend the D500 then the D750... what would be the main reason to this decision... I already got a D7000, should I stick with the DX or should I go FX with the 750? I'm not making money from photography but want to take a step forward. I like wildlife and landscape photography.
I also enjoy wildlife, that's the big question... I already shoot with DX... is there any big reason to go full frame, I don't feel like missing anything about the full frame. Maybe I just don't see the diference because I don't have a full frame camera.
Hi Jared,I'm thinking of swapping my D3s for one of these,do you think this would be a good move ? I photograph a bit of everything,no sports but the occasional gig though.
when you was shooting those nice stills motion pictures on what settings did you shoot them at? AFS AFC AFA ? AND at which servo square you set it too ? ive been trying to figure it out but pictutes come out blurry i need help
very interesting video! I just want to buy this camera !! Can I ask What are the objectives have you used in the video? and that you have the camera mounted in the SLR?
hey, in this vid you shoot with VR on despite shooting at 1/1000 (faster actually). I've heard and found the VR can actually make shots more blury when shooting at high shutter speeds. What has been your experience?
hey jered! i have a question concerning a soccer game i am shooting just for fun tomorrow. i have no experience shooting sports and i just got my first telephoto lens (so i wanna try it out ofc) and i dont want to run into one problem: i only got 2 sd cards with 16gb each. so 32gb. is that enough for 90min shooting? should i delete raw photos if i run out of space? or just start with jpg? i actually dont want to but im a bit scared.
If you're shooting cars, you want to get a low angle, so when you're photographing multiple cars quickly, such as at a car show, it's much easier to flip out the screen than to bend down each time, so that's one use of the flippy outy screen.
Hope more Nikons have the tilting LCD screen. Other manufacturers like Canon and Sony have had them for a while. Some pro's don't want to use it (some might even be against it) but no harm in having the option there, right?
I have tried to see how we can work around the buffer issues..what I have found is..we can shoots in bursts of around shots and give half a second or one..and keep shooting in bursts..till the SD Card is full :D
Very nice review. I am looking forward for comparison of D610, D750 and D810. Can you split the final summary of these three cameras for videographers and for photographers? I would like to upgrade to FX and I am thinking about D610 or D750 + Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 VC. I am not sure if it's just me but I am taking video very rarely so video features are not so important for me in overall comparison.
Hey Jared. Great info. I have been using my new D750 for about a month now and love it. I'm still learning and have a question about "-3 EV". I think you mentioned you shot everything at this game in "manual" mode but then you mentioned the -3 EV worked well with autofocus. Doesn't the exposure compensation only come into play when in one of the auto modes vs manual modes? Hope the question makes sense... Thanks in advance for the information and education!
He means the auto focus points are sensitive to -3ev which basically means you can grab focus when it's really dark. This thing focuses in lower light than the D4S and D810!
great review, very informative so far I'm only half way thru. how is AF in video mode? there is touch on the LCD? really wondering how face detection works in video mode. i know it wouldn't make much sense in the video with so many faces and obstruction of helmets and all but wondering in general does face detection keep up with a face like the 70D does? thanks!!
Thanks for the review! One question: Wouldn't using crop modes decrease file sizes and thus offer longer buffer times? You'll still be at 6.5 fps, but the buffer would go longer before it's full.
Just a quick question. I shoot motorcycles and fast motion. Im doubting between a D750 and a used D4.. AF is very important and with the new group AF on the D750, would that give it the edge?
I sold my D610 and got the D750. It was worth the switch. Get the D750 and the 50mm 1.8. You will not regret it.
S Tra On your camera, so you can regret your regret
I “only” have a d700 but I LOVE my 50mm 1.8.

what's the biggest difference between the D750 and D610? I currently have a D610 and am looking to get a second body.
Phenomenal noise performance at high ISO. Probably still the best camera 4 year later.

Great job Jared! I really like that you put a lot of effort in making these kinds of videos!
At 6:27 you could've pre-focused on the ground and get some great stills of the players.
These images still look amazing 7 years later. 👌🏾
about your comment on the af points at around 21:00 i would assume that the auto focus points are grouped closer to the center to fit dx lenses. when dx lenses are used the outer focus points would place closer to the edge of the frame ;D
Buy it!!! It rocks!!!
First Nikon Full Frame camera to have a pull out screen. Sony's A99 has had a tilt-swivel screen for 2 years now.
The Sony a500 my dad has (6 year old camera) is pretty good and has a tilt screen
Jared this is your best photo shoot every.
I'd use the flip out screen for shooting close to the ground macros like small flowers or insects. The problems I've had without a flip out screen include laying in mud, a sore neck, and camera shake. I think this camera looks great BTW, thanks for the review!
Hello @Jared Polin, at 10:26 of this video, what type of ball head are you using for the hot shoe? Thanks!
Is it me, or all full frame DSLRs scrunch up the AF points in the middle of the frame? Correct me otherwise.
@Kyle Jayden Instablaster ;)
@Kole Melvin i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Love your videos. Always go straight to you when I want a good review for something
The lo viewfinder angle helps for night sky with camera ~ on tripod aimed up, pointing up at a high angle, live view focusing on stars etc.
You've really upped the quality of your videos Jared. Very good content.
What did you film this video with?
The pull out lcd would be good for real estate images where you pull back as far into a corner as poss and room to correct distortion, up to now the vertical viewfinder attachment has been one of the only good quick options, this 'could' improve on this without twisting your back and neck around - I've not tested the actual screen yet.
Hey Jared,
I found that my D750 has a little bit of delay when I press the menu or playback button. Actually anything that has to do with waking up the LCD sometime has this 3 second delay before it shows anything on the screen. Do you have that problem too?
at 7:20 there is the lens flare that Nikon D750 is known for :)
Oh boy there it is.
Jared Polin And oh boy, that shouldn't happen on an expensive camera. FFS.
+Cpongen no way, that suuuucks!
+Jared Polin where?
well i bought it already, after seeing this video hoping mine didnt this problem, and i got lucky, great camera!
Kick ass video / review ... Love your real world tests, Jared. Thanks for sharing with us ...
Great review....eoshd ranked the video for being the most capable dslr right now....glad to see nikon stepping up video...
Can a reviewer/youtuber be any better? No!. Damn! What a great work! Thanks Fro!
Another great real world review, Jared. Keep up the good work!
Hey +Jared Polin
would you recommend any of the kit lenses that the 750 comes with or no?
24-85 or 24-120
"Real World"
Uses $10,000+++ lenses
+Mert Kabakci it was a joke...
but but.. isn't it about the camera tho....??
Not only that but only shoots sports lmao I dont think most buyers will be buying this camera for sports. thats what the d500 is for
Or you could be like me and own both cameras. One for action and the burst shooting function, the other for FX positives and higher MP sensor.
He rented them, plenty of photographers who aren't filthy rich do that.
I lovet Nikon D750 ❤
Is this camera still worth buying in 2018?
Still a great camera man it surprises me every time i own 2 d750 and one D500 and a Canon 80D i like all of them but i use the D750 the most.
Felt like I was at the ball game with my dad. Thank you for this great review, sir
You worry too much about freezing the motion. They're moving. Show that in the shots. Still, amazing shots, especially the high ISO stuff.
The direct audio from the camera was surprisingly good.
It is unstable:
- autofocus does not work at times;
- my personal settings tend to disappear;
- buffer is slow at times
All this resulting in missing shots!
Because i want to upgrade from the dx to the fx but i can not chose between the d810 or d750.. as apro which one is better in iso..note that i am interested in widding photography.
thx man
The AF points are spread out exactly like on your D4S. Same Multi-CAM 3500FX AF system.
farturas81 I wasn't are of that.
Hi Jared ... Nice review ! Question: What would you recommend, in terms of ring flash/led lights for VIDEO, on a D600 or D810 ...
Hi Jared, your reviews are ace, no doubt about that at all. However, I would like to ask you a question about the Nikon D750. I am seriously considering upgrading from a D300s to the D750, and my question to you is;
Can we connect a remote trigger cable, because, I can't seem to notice the port from the pics and videos etc...
Can you help please ?
Regards
JNN
I don't know if this helps, but I use a Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control (Infrared) for my D750. It works pretty well.
hey Jared Polin !..
The sony A7 or A7s will blow you away. Check them out
I've gone from the Sony A7R to the Fuji X-T1 and here is my opinion on mirrorless cameras after a year of using them.
No EVF will never replace a real view finder:
an EVF will never replace a viewfinder.
Compare that to Nikon or Canons selection of 200+ lenses
Battery Life:
Battery life’s pretty low so to prepare to shelve out an extra $200-400 on a battery grip.
That football team must have felt like they were in the big leagues with all that attention.
Another great video Fro!
Question, when you shoot video do you use a flat picture style and do you edit your videos after like you edit your raw photos? The ability to shoot very flat uncompressed video that is easy to work with after seems to be the most important feature when it comes to shooting video.
Mike Kingdon I don't like flat but stephen does.
In my opinion, your best review that I have seen to date. This is possibly because of the real world setting and subject. Would really like to see what the 810 would do at a high school football game at night, then compare the two to help decide between the two cameras. Looking to finally upgrade from my trusty D700.
Did you use the Flat video mode? ....any post, or that's how it came out right off the camera?
Great work with the review, the lighting for the video was fantastic.
D500 is for action, wildlife photography. If u want to do landscape, family pictures get the D750.
I also enjoy wildlife, that's the big question... I already shoot with DX... is there any big reason to go full frame, I don't feel like missing anything about the full frame. Maybe I just don't see the diference because I don't have a full frame camera.
For what its worth, there are more choices in high quality glass in the full frame world.
Jared, outstanding review. Your tone in this one the perfect combination of animated and serious/informational. Thanks.
SeeMeBeSeen thank you.
Hi Jared,I'm thinking of swapping my D3s for one of these,do you think this would be a good move ? I photograph a bit of everything,no sports but the occasional gig though.
Switching to DX mode will allow for 19 shots vs 12 shooting in FX mode at 14-bit RAW before the buffer fills.
+Kenji Shiroma Yes, with 11mp images. The particular situation would dictate whether it is worth the trade-off.
when you was shooting those nice stills motion pictures on what settings did you shoot them at? AFS AFC AFA ? AND at which servo square you set it too ? ive been trying to figure it out but pictutes come out blurry i need help
very interesting video! I just want to buy this camera !! Can I ask What are the objectives have you used in the video? and that you have the camera mounted in the SLR?
Jared, as you've used both and they're both pretty similarly specced out. How does this compare to the 5dmiii? From a photography stance.
hey, in this vid you shoot with VR on despite shooting at 1/1000 (faster actually).
Some pro's don't want to use it (some might even be against it) but no harm in having the option there, right?
how is the focus for the Video, looks like it was stable on Focus, is the Lens set to M or M/A?
Great review Jared Polin have you checked your D750 for the internal reflection issue? Mine has that issue on most of the lenses I tested on.
I have tried to see how we can work around the buffer issues..what I have found is..we can shoots in bursts of around shots and give half a second or one..and keep shooting in bursts..till the SD Card is full :D
What do you use to shoot the actual video? Love your vids
I still don't get EV. When you adjust it does the camera change the shutter speed, aperture and iso?
Max Hartzenberg It's a way to measure darkness/amount of light in general.
Jared, the screen is awesome for macro as well ;)
I used that feature in sony cameras and I missed that in nikons.
Hey I have a question for you. How did you start and how do you get customers?
Which glass would you use to shoot basketball sitting on the floor behind the basket? Thanks for this video especially, just a 750.
great review, very informative so far I'm only half way thru. how is AF in video mode? there is touch on the LCD? really wondering how face detection works in video mode. i know it wouldn't make much sense in the video with so many faces and obstruction of helmets and all but wondering in general does face detection keep up with a face like the 70D does?
