I guess with the higher cost of living nowadays, rent, house repayments, bills and food all going through the roof, the Nikon D750 secondhand is a viable budget option for those not splashed with cash 📸

Purchased my D750 upon retiring in 2015 as a first DSLR camera, intent on reviving a 25 year idled photography hobby. This year, while shooting vistas in Montana, the shutter mechanism broke. I sent it to Nikon for repairs, expecting a $300+ repair bill. Nikon replaced the shutter and did a complete refurbish - and did it all at zero cost, for 'goodwill', they even covered the cost of shipping it back to me. Kudos to Nikon for a great product and great service.

      Keith,
That’s great to hear…I’m about ready to pull the trigger on a D750 (reviving a 15 year idled hobby) glad to hear Nikon stepped up to cover the cost…did you send it to them directly or go through a camera shop?

might not be "goodwill" cause the D750 was RECALLED for shutter problems at the very start, they probably saw your serial number was one that never came back before

I started my Nikon adventure with a D200. Later I made a step up to a D300s. In 2014 I read a review on a new Nikon release and put the D750 in my bucket list. Since then there have been a host of priorities that put a new camera on the someday list. Someday has come and my bucket list contains one less item. The D750 is a dream come true. Being a bit of DSLR dinosaur, I can't imagine ever wanting or needing more. I am smiling a lot lately.

D750 has been my main camera for years. 3 years ago got a D850 primarily for aerial work, but with the new AI editing features, the D750 can do the job about as well. Heck, my D700s upscale very nicely (and quickly) in Lightroom classic, rivaling the standard D750 files. Did upscale the D850 a time or two but realized I'd need a lot more computer. ...and a lot more storage!

I use it for family events and to take photos of my daughter in her ballet shows and school activities. It's great to see videos like yours that encourage me to improve my photography with the camera. I have gotten some great shots with the Yongnuo 50mm, still have to find a good zoom, currently I have a Tamron 28-75 and a somewhat sketchy Sigma 70-200 still to be tamed. Another great, level headed and informative video. Keen to hear thoughts on the sense in upgrading my D600. Main use is landscape/astro, lack of LV exposure simulation makes focussing D600 tedious at night and the tilting screen would be great for saving old knees. I do a lot of hiking, so although a D850 is tempting the size and weight is a concern and for the cost may as well jump to Z? I don’t do video and for sports/wildlife I have a D500.

Great video, thanks. I bought my D750 when they were first released and have used it for professional portraiture ever since. It's never missed a beat and the output quality has never been questioned by my clients. I started with a new D70 when they first came out, then upgraded to D300, followed by a D7100 (all DX) until finally upgrading to the D750 FX. The larger viewfinder alone was a huge improvement and the quality over the D7100 was noticable. I've considered the Z mirrorless range but I can't justify the cost of changing over, considering it's not going to increase my client base or income.

Yet another D750 convert, waiting for it to show up currently. Upgrading from a D7100 and combo DX/FX glass. I'll be trading all the DX glass with the camera body. My other hobbyist friends have all converted from other DSLR Nikons to Z mirrorless setups, but I still like the DSLR. I really like some of the F mount FX glass I have, and I like the much lower cost of the older D750 and older glass. I also shoot and print my own film, with my old Canon A1 setup I've had for 25 years, and a lot with my more recent setup, my Bronica SQ-A medium format with 3 excellent prime lenses. I prefer the oldschool tried and true systems in general though, and really don't enjoy digital post processing. That's why I needed to upgrade to the full frame D750. I also love shooting astro, and have a new kid so the need for low-light fast performance is a must. Thanks for confirming my choice on my upgrade!

I do have a Nikon D500 Crop Sensor, also have a Nikon Z50 mirrorless. I also have my D600 full frame but thinking on change it for a D750., possibly in the next month or so. I am a Nikon fan since the late 70's and have never regret it. I use to have a Nikon FM2 that my grandpa' gifted me back in the late 70's and since then I have been Nikon... Today I am just about to enter into my 65th birthday and getting ready for my retirement and the D750 will be my replacement of the D600 which have been great to me. The D500 and the Z50 are my go to for wildlife (D500) and Z50 for my Macro. I really appreciate your videos on the D750 and have giving me the information needed for my decision... Thank you very much.

Hi Adrian, absolutely true. It is the photographer's skill, not the camera. You can take stunning photos even with your phone 🙂
But anyway, the D750 is definitely a good camera and there is no reason for not buying it.
Thank you for the video, buddy!

I just bought one second hand after months of looking in the second hand market. I have researched this camera extensively as my upgrade from the D3400. I have taken hundreds of thousands of photos and I always invested in lenses over the body. But I am so impressed with the D750 so far.

I only do stills. I've upgraded from a D90 to a D7200 and ultimately to the D750. Love what it does for me. My one regret is that it does not do internal focus stacking for macro work. But other than that, it is a fantastic camera.

I bought my D750 factory refurbished in 2017, and I'm still using it to this day. My only real complaint has been the way Lightroom's camera profiles handle color, especially skin tones. It's a beast for studio portraits and astro. I use it for burlesque shows, where the dynamic range really comes in handy. The max ISO of 6400 can be a bit limiting in dimly lit bars, but Lightroom's amazing new AI denoise has really extended its usefulness.

I'm on the lookout for a D750. I shoot fast moving objects (aircraft mostly) and my D7200 already does the job well. Still a want a full frame Nikon to use with my more expensive lenses. The D800/800e/810's are just too big to use, to clumsy. I think the quality of the D750 is excellent for my job. Files remain sort of reasonable in size too.
    Thanks for a great review!

I have a D750 that I got just last year. It has less than 1000 clicks on it. The original owner had bought it while moving and thought he had lost it in the move and only found it several years later. I got it as I have a wonderful Nikon F4 and several very nice screw drive lenses for that set up and finally decided I wanted a digital Nikon that could use those lenses. The D750 is a natural for me. I'm not a professional but a very serious amateur and so I figured and I think rightly so that the 750 was a better fit for me than a D850 or any of the mirrorless Zed cameras that wouldn't have been able to fully use the lenses I have.

Wow! What a bargain on the secondhand market the 750 is! That camera certainly has been a workhorse for you whether it be video or stills. Ten years old or not, this seems like a great camera to keep in your arsenal until the day it stops working (if it ever stops working)! Makes a great companion to your D850 and your mirrorless! Great video mate, really enjoyed it! Have a great week down there!
