Welcome to the Phase 2 FINALE! As has been SUPER highly requested, I've got a True Power Tournament video series planned in which these trainers will battle it out to determine who is the strongest using their best possible teams. The thing is, I'm going to need a partner of equal battling skill to work with me on this to help with the planning and actual battles/recordings. Here is where you guys come in; since they'll be putting in many, many hours of work into this project, I do want to compensate them financially. Since I currently support myself & my family, I would be unable to do so without some further help. If you guys find yourselves wanting this Tournament series to happen and are excited for it, I would love if you would consider making a pledge on Patreon to help with the project. I will be regularly posting updates and sneak peeks about the project on Patreon, in addition to the other exclusive perks that all Patrons get that are listed on the page. Many thanks and hoping we can make it happen! ➡️ www.patreon.com/SilphSpectre ⬅️
I'd very much like to see a tournament. Would you be using a different format than the main games to do it in order to make each team accurate to their levels presented in the series, or will you be going to easier route of just using the games and having them all set to level 50?
KSound Kaiju around the same. Stress and constant pressure takes its toll and can make you look older than you actually are. Government positions are such stress and constant pressure.
Wonderfully done, especially considering the lack of info available in the main series games you found great justification for the liberties you did take in reaching beyond them. Obviously I love seeing their best teams, but you dive into the lore of the characters in such a succinct but detailed way it's really my main draw! Wonderful content 🤙🏻
Thanks so much Michael! These are super kind words and I'm so glad you're enjoying the content. The lore I feel is really important - in order to understand these trainers' true power, it's necessary to look at their experience and personality traits too, not just their Pokemon themselves :D
I believe it will be: 1. Gyarados: UUBL: lv70 2. Venusaur: UUBL: lv69 3. Arcanine: UU: lv68 4. Mew: UU: ~lv65 5. Nidoking (Evolved Nidorino): UU: ~lv65 6. Tauros: PU: lv 66 I was thinking about type coverage more, which is why I’m leaving out the other two starters, & Exeggutor is okay & adds the psychic typing, but it is not quite as good as the others.
I was a little off. I didn’t think he would use Anime teams, gen 7 tiers instead of gen 8, or that he wouldn’t evolve Nidorino. Regardless, I got 4 of the team members right, so that’s good for me lol
Wasn't Oak shown as a kid in the 4th movie where he befriended Celebi. He had that old type of pokeball... don't remember if he caught it or pulled an Ash and just played with it
They also use brother, sister grampa, uncle, and aunt in this way as well, although the informal way of saying brother/sister(aneki/anego) implies some sort of relationship
I was seriously not expecting this given the lack of info we have on Oak’s past but you managed to pull through and it was a great episode! Drake would be a great option next
Let me tell you: When I was in college I met Agatha, we married and had had little daughter, about 10 years later she had 2 kids, named Gary, after that everthing went downhill, Aghata left me and my little daughter died in a car crash, the rest was all explained very good, props to him
I love videos like this, in my spare time I often make teams inspired by different key characters in the franchise, and I am finally able to dedicate one to Samuel Oak.
I expect a light themed video and probably some of his Pokemon roster from games. I get biography of Pr. Oak instead.. This is really deep.. You'll be big someday man.
Assuming Gary Oak is the same age as Ash (10), that would mean Oak was 37 when he became Gary's granddad (which means him and/or his son/Gary's dad had kids before 20). And the amount of "decades" Agatha meant would have to be 2 (or maybe 3)
Oh baby I was waiting for this one! I actually forgot he had Dragonite so when the anime scene appeared, it got me pretty hype since it's my favourite Pseudo Legendary :P
I don’t think dragonite should have been included. It’s an anime only Pokémon and none of the other trainers with anime only Pokémon were included so why shoulda dragonite
That was awesome and the most imaginative episode of all the series, nice using manga/anime as refs. And I know, Gen 3 is next but I can't deny I would love to see what is Ethan/Gold's best possible team. Based on manga, anime special with Typhlosion/Raikou (also that time when he used a Donphan against Ash lol beggining of a movie from gen 4) and starters/events of the game. I love your work Silph! Greetings from South America.
I think it’s really cool how Oak’s non-starter type triangle (Gyarados, Arcanine, and Exeggutor) were used by Blue when he became a gym leader. I always thought that was a subtle reference to Oak’s hidden team.
Great video! Expected nothing less than quality content as usual! I would request Professor Elm too but besides have no pokemon, I know his battling skills are just as good as his skills of preventing his lab from being robbed by a 10-year-old. 😂 Once again, thank you for making my day.
My only complaint with the series is that when you include Pokemon from Pokemon Masters, you say "we don't know the moveset", when the Pokemon in Masters all use existing main series moves, so you at least have a few to go off like Silver's Ho-oh knowing Sacred Fire, Overheat, and Solar Beam and Oak's Mew having Swift, Psychic, and possibly two of Fire Blast, Thunder, or Blizzard. But besides that fantastic work on the videos and please keep them coming.
True. But, even if you consider Masters’s moveset, it wouldn’t be that great. Like, Ho-oh in the Main Series with that moveset is a complete wash. Especially when Primal Kyogre 1v1s it without Brave Bird.
Oak's lore is some of the best stuff in pokemon and it's why I love Generation 1 so much. Whether confirmed or uncomfirmed Oak was definitely a Champion and I like to think the battle we see between that Gengar and Nidorino may have been a glimpse into the battle that made him Champion so long ago.
in ash's reality I guess. Mew ,two of ash's Tourus, Evee all because of the let's go pikachu shize with ash, Alolan Ninetales that he got as an egg from Samson and his Dragonite that fought mirage mewtwo
Look I know the point is to go off of the main series teams but I do like the idea of looking at the anime for at least some honorable mentions. Provides a few more options to characters who've appeared like once or twice
Since Giovanni was a decent bit ago, and I know this guy also has something in his bag of tricks, I want to know: what is team aqua leader Archie's true power?
9:03 I was soo hoping that he would mention that. 1st time I ever watched that movie, I COMPLETELY freaked out in excitement! I'm kinda ashamed to say> the main reason for clicking this video was to see if Professor Oak's Dragonite would be properly mentioned and acknowledged or not!! Not many pokemon fans I know even know about this movies' existence because it's not in the list of mainstream pokemon movies!
You forgot one of Professor Oak's best pokemon. In "The tale of two Professors" from Pokemon Go, Oak received a group of Meltan that became a Melmetal.
Unfortunately they're only so high up due to the fact that Sw/Sh only have 540/898 Pokémon. For the sake of accuracy I use National Dex metagame tiers instead. Hope that clears things up!
Just to confirm something. In the original anime intro and video games. Wasnt it oak and Agatha that we saw battling in the championship with a nidorino (oak) and a gengar (agatha)?
I think a really cool oak team would have be if he had his dragonite, mew and the rest focused on Pokémon that evolved by evolutionary stones Mew, Dragonite, Nidoking, Poliwrath, exeggutor and arcanine
It actually kinda makes sense why Agatha would hate Oak after he retired because if he was the Champion and he just retired it would me he left the Champion seat empty for maybe decades because no one could move up because he refused to battle them.

When are we gonna see your true power?
Can u do a challenge pls that will be AWSOME
Highly requested indeed. Saw the comments myself. That guy really wanted this video made. 😂
Thanks buddy!
If we use the anime as a reference, Charizard is probably the canon starter, as he used a charmeleon in the Celebi movie!
I'd very much like to see a tournament. Would you be using a different format than the main games to do it in order to make each team accurate to their levels presented in the series, or will you be going to easier route of just using the games and having them all set to level 50?
Silph: Oak is 47
Me: I'll pretend I never heard that
Just add 20 years to every character. Ash is supposed to have 2 years on me.
Happy to be your 151st like bro. Congratulations.
He’s 47!!!??? My life is a lie. Here I was thinking he was a really old man.
So how old is Agatha then? O_O
KSound Kaiju RIGHT!!!???
He use a wig lol
KSound Kaiju around the same. Stress and constant pressure takes its toll and can make you look older than you actually are.
Government positions are such stress and constant pressure.
twist: they only look like senior citizens because 10 year olds perceive them as old people
Oak is obviously the past champion. As hinted many times and in the let's go games as well. Why don't they just say it.
Its Pokemon, they don't let in on a lot of things
I think they just like the mystery. It lets the fans speculate, be involved and create videos such as this!
Pokemon isn’t Pokemon without some mysteries
They say in the manga
I don't want to get crowded
Would love to see the True Power of Wally! He's come a long way since we first saw him and would love to see his best!
This, I didn't expect. Gen 3 should start off with Roxanne
I really like the team rocket ROM Hack where you actually face the professor and he has some really good pokemon
Name?
Zwiggo does a challenge run of it cool story
What a Weirdo Pokemon Rocket Edition
*Nevervous Sweating*
@shsram Liar!
I LOVED this. Silph killin it again and again. I can’t wait for Gen3, I’ve wanted Elite Four Drake since the very beginning! Favorite series on TH-cam
"Dr. O"
*Hmm I wonder who that could be*
It's the greatest mystery since the masked royal.
Don't forget about GRAND Oak now
Dr. Oreo
Same
Wow, Oak is not just a frail old man, he's got some powerful mons! Let's get Roxanne next!

Man it's gonna be amazing when this series has every major trainer in it and it's just a massive catalog 🤤
You: "Oak is 47"
Me: what
Roxanne next please. Her team is pretty cool from the rematches
I believe it will be:
1. Gyarados: UUBL: lv70
2. Venusaur: UUBL: lv69
3. Arcanine: UU: lv68
4. Mew: UU: ~lv65
5. Nidoking (Evolved Nidorino): UU: ~lv65
6. Tauros: PU: lv 66

Nice 👌🏻

Regardless, I got 4 of the team members right, so that’s good for me lol
@idk maybe memes ;D those sets arent good at all, sorry :/
He also have a Dragonite of at least 60 level
Dixit Family Vlogs Dragonite should not have been included
Wasn't Oak shown as a kid in the 4th movie where he befriended Celebi. He had that old type of pokeball... don't remember if he caught it or pulled an Ash and just played with it
Incredible episode, this was one of my favorites in the series. Can't wait for Gen 3!!
I'd say he says "Granny" because in Japanese when you politely refer to an elderly woman you call them "Grandmother".
I agree it’s more of a term to refer to an older woman even if you don’t have a connection with them.
In america u call an elderly granny they get offended lol
They also use brother, sister grampa, uncle, and aunt in this way as well, although the informal way of saying brother/sister(aneki/anego) implies some sort of relationship
I was seriously not expecting this given the lack of info we have on Oak’s past but you managed to pull through and it was a great episode! Drake would be a great option next
We need a back story of Oak in a game
Let me tell you:
When I was in college I met Agatha, we married and had had little daughter, about 10 years later she had 2 kids, named Gary, after that everthing went downhill, Aghata left me and my little daughter died in a car crash, the rest was all explained very good, props to him

This is really deep..
You'll be big someday man.
I can't believe he was only 47 that whole time. I'm shaking and crying irl
Assuming Gary Oak is the same age as Ash (10), that would mean Oak was 37 when he became Gary's granddad (which means him and/or his son/Gary's dad had kids before 20). And the amount of "decades" Agatha meant would have to be 2 (or maybe 3)
man... what i'd give to have a series dedicated to Agatha and Oak's history/rivalry
The pokemon company actually capatilise on a meaningful story with potential? Keep dreaming lol
@@sechabatheletsane9784 u rite
Plus, you may not want it. If you do get such a series, it’s going to be of low quality or come as a distraction that permanently ruins Pokémon.

Greetings from South America.
Wow was not expecting this. Amazing. Looking forward to gen 3, i love all the trainers but would say why not start off with Roxanne :)
Oak's team is really powerful!...
Once again, thank you for making my day.
Using the anime, his best team is Corsola lol. Just Corsola
Let's start off with the beginning. Roxanne!
Oak was so strong you had to play him as a glitch. Let that sink in
Nice joooob
Well scripted as always but I'm flabbergasted that Oak is only 47.
Great job Silph, let's get Roxanne next!
Which means either he or his child became a really young parent considering Blue's age
Well Gary is ten so oak was 36 when he born so he and his child could have been 18 when they had their children
Wally's true power! He surprised the heck out of me at the resort!
you should do gen 3 since if im not mistaken you can rematch gym leaders after you beat the league
so to start it off lets do roxanne
You can rematch them before the league as well
Nice vid! Can't wait until you get to the Hoen gym leader!!!
I had no idea that Oak was 47 and that Agatha was a bit of a tsundere, very nicely done video
Starting gen 3 with anyone but Roxanne would be a crime
I wish with heart gold and soul silver you could battle him with this team after red at his lab
I say start of Gen 3 with the trainer that has one one game and anime appearance.
Wallace’s replacement as gym leader: Juan.
I can't recall if Juan's ace was milotic or seedra
Daniel Pereira it’s actually a Kingdra
@David he actually appears in black and white 2 so there’s enough Pokémon to chose from
My only complaint with the series is that when you include Pokemon from Pokemon Masters, you say "we don't know the moveset", when the Pokemon in Masters all use existing main series moves, so you at least have a few to go off like Silver's Ho-oh knowing Sacred Fire, Overheat, and Solar Beam and Oak's Mew having Swift, Psychic, and possibly two of Fire Blast, Thunder, or Blizzard.

True. But, even if you consider Masters’s moveset, it wouldn’t be that great. Like, Ho-oh in the Main Series with that moveset is a complete wash. Especially when Primal Kyogre 1v1s it without Brave Bird.
I like that this episode uses sources other the games, it makes the final result a little more interesting.
Wow, I'd love to see a tournament of all of these trainers!
I really have enjoyed the crap out of this series man! Always quality content!
Great video, mate. Enlightening as always.
Hey Silph, strong impression game my man 😂 (with Oak's and Agatha's narration)
5:00 oak looked pretty swoll in the manga
Awesome video a definite Finale of True Power for Generations 1 and 2. Let’s see True Power for Roxanne the Rock Type Gym Leader of Hoenn.
in ash's reality I guess. Mew ,two of ash's Tourus, Evee all because of the let's go pikachu shize with ash, Alolan Ninetales that he got as an egg from Samson and his Dragonite that fought mirage mewtwo
I always knew Oak is OP
It makes sense that Prof. Oak uses Tauros, the most powerful non-uber Pokémon in Kanto
Perfect team! Great video
watching this again after seeing the VS battle. Epic
Look I know the point is to go off of the main series teams but I do like the idea of looking at the anime for at least some honorable mentions. Provides a few more options to characters who've appeared like once or twice
Return of the King
True Power Sydney
Silph: Talks about Oak in the Manga
Silph: Doesn't use the Pokemon from the Manga
Me: ?
Uploaded on the same day as Ruffled Rowlet's Professor Oak's True Team video. Coincidence? I think NOT!
Shiiiiiit I want to read that Pokemon manga now!
Had you considered his Pokemons from Pokemon adventure manga?
Since Giovanni was a decent bit ago, and I know this guy also has something in his bag of tricks, I want to know: what is team aqua leader Archie's true power?
At max he has 5 mons
Jack Lutz actually no he has enough appearances to form a strong team you’re forgetting the ultra games
@@nazeersadek6705 5 pokemon is including the ultra games. The only villain leaders you ould make full teams for besides Giovanni is ghetsis and archer
PELASE I've been waiting fro the OG rival Wally!!!
I would love to see Wally’s true power but you can’t use the term OG rival that was blue
This was Majorly Dope 👊😁🔥🔥
9:03
I was soo hoping that he would mention that.
Great video!
Low key dual weather team!! Prof Oak!!
Maxie and Archie?
I feel that Wallace should be the first of phase 3
my bf and i really enjoy your videos!!!
What is the mighty water gym leader/champion Wallace's true power.
It would be cool to start the Gen 3 with Roxanne
You forgot one of Professor Oak's best pokemon. In "The tale of two Professors" from Pokemon Go, Oak received a group of Meltan that became a Melmetal.
I absolutely adored this series. Any chance you’d continue with hoenn or the other generations?
Nice videos. But Leaf deserves her own true power. Don't forget about her!
An impressive secret boss to be sure, my head canon stats him as the best trainer alive, with Red approaching second only due to inexperience.
Venusaur is actually currently in the UUBL tier as of Generation 8. Blastoise is in the UU tier.
Unfortunately they're only so high up due to the fact that Sw/Sh only have 540/898 Pokémon. For the sake of accuracy I use National Dex metagame tiers instead. Hope that clears things up!
#HereFromTheStream
This is seriously awesome
Let's start this third generation with the princess of Rock types, the young genius Roxanne!
I think you should include Nidoking, nidorino is a pokemon that walks with him in masters and have theories saying that he used against Agatha
Gen 3 should start with either Flannery or Winona
Just to confirm something. In the original anime intro and video games. Wasnt it oak and Agatha that we saw battling in the championship with a nidorino (oak) and a gengar (agatha)?
Yep! That's mentioned in the video :D Very cool that we basically got confirmation of that in Masters
Man, Oak had to be young when he had Blue's mom/dad if he's 47 and Blue's 11.
Wouldn't Satoshi tajiri team suffice for oaks team
Lets hear Norman, next. The most normal dad in all of pokemon.
47?! I don't believe it, he has to be at least 57, probably 67.
I think a really cool oak team would have be if he had his dragonite, mew and the rest focused on Pokémon that evolved by evolutionary stones
Mew, Dragonite, Nidoking, Poliwrath, exeggutor and arcanine
I was today years old when I learned Professor Oak was 47 years old.
Thats Cool!!!
Lets Get Roxanne Next!
True Power Norman
First game should have had Oak a boss to fight after getting all 150 pokemon.
And then him having mew
11 year old grandson at 47? My parents were 47 when I turned 11
Your parents had you at 36 😮💀
Well if Oak married at 17 or 18 then it makes sense but you need his son or daughter to also marry around that age too
It actually kinda makes sense why Agatha would hate Oak after he retired because if he was the Champion and he just retired it would me he left the Champion seat empty for maybe decades because no one could move up because he refused to battle them.
I loved the video, but you didn't mention much of young Sam fron the Pokemon Celebi movie
Zinnia or winona
We actually do know his rotom can change forms cuz it does so in the anime before he catches it
Just as a joke, you should do youngster true power!
you should do roxanne, start of hoenn
So who'd win between Oak and Kukui?
Ok this was epic
dunno about that oak battle glitch, sounds suspect. Never heard of or seen it before in any UK releases
I personally, would have made the final team member either Nidoqueen/king or Rotom. Other than that I would agree with those picks.
