Yet now the useful features of Kinect are in your smart TV such as Alexa built into the latest LG OLED's lol. Xbox was way ahead of time on this. I don't use it as LG tv's already have voice command for most things.
Honestly just finishing the last video, the idea for VR for Xbox was there with the Kinect but after what happened in the Xbox one generation it pretty much killed that potential

As much as I dislike Don Mattrick for some of his bad leadership decisions and then leaving when Xbox’s reputation was sinking, I do respect that he came back for this and talked about those decisions despite so many Xbox fans still hating him.

The fact that they are able to acknowledge their flaws shows how much Xbox and Microsoft have improved as companies. It’s sad people don’t notice this more.
Improvement is a deeply personal journey, even if it is with a game console or a brand. It takes the passion and belief of hundreds, thousands of people to make improvement a reality.

Humanizing the console we all grew up playing and informing about its 20 year timeline was an amazing marketing decision. Culminating all the ups and downs into this documentary series was nothing short of spectacular. So much nostalgia and personal emotion, thank you.
People like to think that maybe it's just the moves of corporate entities, but at the heart of every piece of technology, including Xbox, are passionate people who care about spreading fun and joy.

I'm watching this episode on January 18th and they're talking about the biggest deal in the gaming industry with owning zenimax in price of 7.5 billion dollars... it's January 18th and funny how they bought Activision blizzard for nearly 70 billiion dollars today.
Literally the reason why I rewatched the series again.

I feel so lucky to have been part of the Scorpio release and the Bethesda Acquisition! Working for Phil Spencer and Tim Stuart was one of the greatest joys of my life!
Spending 8 billion on bethesda so the upcoming bethesda games are xbox exclusive was desperate move. Those games were coming anyway.

As someone who has been playing video games for 4 decades and was with Xbox the whole way on this amazing journey, this series has also been something that has made me reflect on my life. At 50 years old this year, I am still an avid gamer and will be until they decide to put me in the ground. Thanks for the memories Xbox...
This series was EXCELLENT. It motivated me to get my childhood original Xbox out of storage, disassemble it, clean it, and fire up Combat Evolved. Thank you for making this and thank you for owning your mistakes! I'm excited for the future :)

This series has gotten me more Goosebumps than most films. The nostalgia of Halo 2 hit the most.
I've been with Xbox since day one, and this just brought back so many memories. Absolutely amazing documentary, and kudos to the whole Xbox team past and present.

All 6 parts really provided deep looks at the history of Xbox. It's amazing how fast the OG Xbox came to life. Seeing the struggles, hearing the heart ache when things went sideways and the hope for the future and passion for the community. Also how much Xbox gave so many features to gamers. I'm really looking forward to the future and hoping for some announcements soon.

I remember playing my older brother's xbox 360 with my siblings when I was younger, and I remember the day I finally got my own Xbox One. So many great memories, and it was fascinating to see the turbulent journey that the people behind Xbox went through to deliver the dreams to us. Great docu-series the whole way through! Excellent documentary! Watched all 6 chapters. It's amazing the amount of transparency shown in this video, down to all the issues each generation had and how Microsoft learned from their mistakes. Watching the reveal of the series X at the game awards was genuinely one of the most exciting times I've ever experienced in gaming. It was seriously like seeing the announcement of the Xbox all over again. Thank you!
Been around since the OG Xbox. I'm 29 now, and some of my earliest gaming memories were playing Halo 1 with my Dad in Co-op, for hours on end. Some of the greatest memories ever. Thank you Xbox for this fantastic documentary. It takes huge guts to own up to your mistakes, and I'm proud to have stuck with this brand for so long. Here's to many more years of Xbox!

I never understood why Xbox Live Arcade was dropped, its about 90% of my Xbox 360 library, largely due to the mandatory trials.
Oh the Lionhead mistake and not making the same mistake with future studio acquisitions, rings very hollow right now.
This series of documentaries made me an xbox costumer, i want to be part of this community and this wonderful team of developers and executives,kudos

I'm loving my Series X this generation and consider myself fully invested in the ecosystem again after stepping away during the Xbox One era. Kudos and well done to all involved.
I wish these game console companies would understand that nobody wants an “all-in-one” media box. We just want insane games and experiences.

Loved this, Microsoft! It takes some courage to be reflecting openly about previous mistakes, but I’m sure that’s also gonna help in making Xbox even better in the future.
They freely admitted to knowing about the 360 failure rate way before launch. Yet still launched. They haven't changed one bit. All companies care about themselves, not us.

I just finished watching this documentary and man, this was amazingly great and extremely interesting from the very beginning to the very end, hats off to everyone at Microsoft and the Xbox development team for making this, I can't think of the amount of pressure you guys took to own to your mistakes during 2006 and 2013 instead of ignoring it completely and for that, I give massive props to you both

The irony of watching this in 2021, 8 years after the Xbox One released, on an Xbox One, on my TV, in which I use to watch all my TV (TH-cam, Netflix, Disney+, etc)

Wow, what an incredible series! It's incredibly refreshing to see an organisation of this size and magnitude be open and honest about the journey that brought them to where they are today. To find success sometimes you have to fail, and that's ok. That should be celebrated as part of the process and this series absolutely hits the nail on the head. An excellent watch for anyone even remotely interested in video games or technology.

Changed back in 2005 from PS2 to 360 and never looked back...through thick and thin....im just passionate about the brand because of its core values and how it appeals to me....and of course GEARS OF WAR ....heres to the next 20 🥂🥂
