If you want to run a half marathon that actually runs through Manchester you could do the Great Manchester run in May. I enjoyed Manchester half but I guess it was because I live here and the main thing for me was the atmosphere which was great.
I'd say the city centre vibes are better for the one in May, although the route has a little less support along the way. October is the faster route, May is more fun and you see more "iconic" parts of Manchester.
Hey that was a good time. Have you heard of The Great North Run. I have done it twice, it is the largest 1/2 Marathon in the world, with 54K runners twice as much as in Manchester. Starts on the Newcastle central motorway with 4 lanes of runners, then it ends at the beach in South Shields, no loops or turning round. It is on the BBC TV live from 10 AM for about 4 hrs. My best time was 1h 46min not sure if I could run a 10K now. The locals line the route with beer and sweets, the fire brigade are there with water cannons to keep you cool.
Just searching if there are any vlog about the manchester half and found this! I'm the other around, a Mancunian hoping to do a race in Copenhagen next year!
Hahaha that’s funny! I would highly recommend the CPH Half, it’s hands down just a great race that goes through all the best parts of the city. Make sure you buy tickets as soon as they get on sale though, I think it sold out very fast last year. I think they go on sale next week or so.
Definitely, I'm sure it's way better than this one😂! Such a shame to hear that this isn't what you expect but fair to say the route and arrangement were quite disappointing. I remember the one held in Manchester in May was amazing. It started and ended in the heart of city centre, which is much more convenient to travellers. They also did many freebies and had a Exhibition Centre booked for massage.
Haha, cheers 🙌 Oh, that sounds waaaay better! I hope that race/type of race comes back to Manchester, then I'd definitely be back for it. Love Manchester 🐝
Well done, Kris. Yeah, looks like other races in Europe might be better organised. Another great vlog. Well done.
Cheers, Paul. Yeah, it might be... Thanks for your comment 🙌

Fantastic video 😎🏃
Thank you 🙌
Congrats! 👏🏼
Thanks a lot 🙌
A lot of these races it very expensive and involves a lot of red type to get roads in the city centre to close.
La ville a l'air super moche mais le mec est craquant.
Merci 😀
