    About this video:
    Before we dive in and cover the top foods that cause outbreaks I want to make sure we cover the main reason why these foods are Xed off our list. It boils down to one simple protein called arginine. Arginine is an essential amino acid that is crucial to our overall health. It supports things like blood flow, circulation and helps the blood vessels relax. We clearly need arginine in our system. The problem occurs when we have an abundance of arginine in our body it can be like lighter fluid to a flame or miracle grow to a weed. We want to be aware of what foods are high in arginine and foods that trigger a herpes outbreak.

I've done so much research once I noticed he got cold sores ( he actually didn't even know that that meant he had herpes...so we did research together) and I really don't care. Like I've learned it's truly not a health issue, it isn't gonna kill you and the best way I've understood it is like, it's like chickenpox....once you have it....it's there in your system forever. It just pick and chooses when it wants to act up again. Wonderful information source!

    • @odd-arnedahle2173
      @odd-arnedahle2173 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They are not bad, the only thing is that the virus don't like to stay there any more. So it tries to move, causing an active virus aka outbreak. Outbreaks are for spreading and to make sure the virus don't die. Arginine is important to build proteins. Proteins build all of your body, if you don't get enough proteins, your body will break down. Just like a car with too little air in the tires or too little oil over time.

    So I know all herpes is sensitive to what you eat but are these specific to hsv1 since it’s closer to your mouth? Or do these foods effect hsv2 as well? Probably stupid question but I could see how more potent foods could trigger a cold sore cuz you’re chewing it. But then once it gets to stomach acid the food changes. I wonder if there’s research on this.

    I’ve had outbreaks since I was 7 yrs old. Have never noticed any connection to the foods mentioned. I have never been a fan of coconut , but I do love chocolate. Never really had an outbreak from chocolate, but absolutely have an outbreak when viruses are going around. And also when my lips are badly chapped or sunburned. I’m now 55 and I don’t have them as frequent as I did when I was younger. I’d get one a few times a year.

      A note to suffers, consuming chopped raw garlic & honey by tablespoon on empty stomach , a meal of greek yogurt & a clean grain 🥣 (partial list here) just know these things for disease management. There are many a sites out there just due your homework, thankful for the sponsors efforts to outreach to others. There's sites specifically addressing , disclosure s to your partner's, how this affects other members of the household, how to not infect/spread the disease to other people. . what supplies do you need to have on hand for a outbreak besides the antiviral medications. One of the biggest things to avoid, is allowing others to come in contact with your clothing, especially towels ..the virus survives 24 hours on surfaces. DON'T share .. toothbrushes, razors, pillows, washcloths, hoodies, ALWAYS wash hands!!!!!! Herpes is possible to spread on any part of your body . You can go blind from a infection in your eyes .. don't scrub your body parts hard, herpes likes to spread and weep into cracks of your skin . Baby washcloths are softer more user friendly, Biggest advantage is to use a hair dryer to dry all the crevice s and folds after bathing... HYGIENE practices are vital to the management of this disease, it can be done, overall thoughts is to be "conscience of the consequences", forgive & love yourself still regardless, stress less & destress, it's progression s & management relies on the "IMMUNE SYSTEM" . Take careful care, try to go as natural as possible... ☮️

    If I got it right you say arginine is bad? I take it as a suppliment and get no symptoms. ?? I've been living 2 years without symptoms low carbs. Eating arginine a ton last summer and no issues. Now outbreak possibly caused by trashfood, chocolate and sweet drinks and been lazy maybe 2 months. I think you are right. Food is something important to give attention when outbreak happens. Very individual it is.

I was searching for causes of breaks out and am devastated that coconut is number one on the list. Lol I have drank 4 actual coconuts from the shells in the last two days and woke up with that dreaded tingle. I am glad to be learning of triggers thank you.

    • @lifewithherpes
      @lifewithherpes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, so coconut oil and water is good, meat and milk is high is arginine. You should not give up on coconuts if you really love them. Having coconuts in moderation is ok. Some people don't notice any difference with their diets. Heck, some people do whatever they want and never! get outbreaks. So, don't let this single information hold you back. You might be just fine. Try and see. Also, another thing you can consider is to take lysine supplements to balance arginine. We really like this brand, but you can also find the one that you like.
      Hope that helps in any way.

I’m gonna start incorporating all of these into my daily routine. Maybe 5 days on two days off kinda deal. Do your research. Good luck :)

    I just had my first outbreak of genital herpes at sixty one. I've been celebate for 10,11 or 12 years (can't remember exactly) and for the life of me I cannot figure this out. From what I've read, the virus can be dormant for years. I dated a woman who told me she had the virus. I never had anything all those years up until now.
    The only other thing I can figure is that I got it somehow through food somebody else had touched or eaten? ( I work at a restaurant presently.) To say this has been frustrating is an understatement. Disheartening, actually.

    • @lifewithherpes

    It was bad enough that ice cream, cookies 🍪 cake, soda, milk chocolate, fried chicken, pizza, lasagna, alcohol and cigarettes you know all the things and flavors which make this turbulent unpredictable life, tolerable and actually enjoyable, are not good for us. So I settle for cashews, sunflower seeds, almond milk, coconut milk, walnuts, pecans, fruits and vegetables thinking I'm having things which are relatively tasty AND healthy Now I find out that seeds and nuts many fruits and vegetables which I've been told ALL of my life are good are NOW bad for me bc I have a permanent lifelong illness! I'm sorry to sound negative, but life is so f'd up, seems like if it's not one thing it's something else, it's a catch 22, damned if you do..well kno the rest. I'm not gonna pretend like it's something minor bc I know how this virus can affect your CNS, including your brain and eyes, so I know it's not just a superficial skin problem. Even after 6 yrs, ( a gift from a careless hateful, abusive, just a bad person, I should have NEVER looked at, the biggest mistake of my life) it still pains me Everyday, Everytime I reflect on the me I was before I was involved with this evil man, who I foolishly loved, and allowed to damage my temple. It brings tears to my eyes and depresses me to no end. I remember how energetic, healthy, ambitious I was. I didn't have hypochondria, or feel like dying, I was young healthy and ready to take on the world. Only 13% of the world are known to have hsv 2, that's 87% who don't, and I used to in that number. Now.... Leg numbness, muscle twitches, allodynia, dizziness, frequent urination from a compromised nervous system partially from hsv and partially from the stress of my system being in state of emergency for 6 years dealing with a complete insane, unstable, bipolar, narcissistic, multiple personality, alcoholic, misogynist, nutcase who thinks women are useless, should NEVER talk, only good for spreading their legs for penis or to pop out a baby, not even to raise one bc according to him women are incompetent in directing anything. A man who will NEVER apologize or takes accountability for anything, and literally LIVES only for war. But if I had not been disobedient to God.. I saw EVERY sign from the start. But I ignored out of pure selfishness and rebellion. A older man was was something different. I often wish God would just take me and give me a brand new body to start again, in many ways, it burdens me to imagine living all the way to 80 with this. And it just doesn't seem right for an 80 year old to have an std. I know that sounds sad and horrible but I can't lie it's depressing. I'll go ahead and throw out all my Nuts coconuts, and coffee maybe I can just look into eating grass 😂 chewing my cud, everything else seems to be to dangerous smh lol😂 JK but thanks for this information video!!🙂

At least I am honest. Only a FOOL, would believe it was not so terrible.What SANE person believes tha, getting HERPES was a GREAT thing in their LIFE?
