The fact that a doctor told me 4 years ago they don't test for it like it's no big deal. If they stopped thinking like this ppl wouldn't be passing it around as much. I don't understand.

First of all, a diagnosis isn’t life threatening. The shaming/blaming you’re laying on your ex is perpetuating the undeserved stigma that only a promiscuous person can have HSV. Now that you’ve been diagnosed, do you see yourself as less than others or promiscuous? Learn and educate.
Can u talk about the side effects the anti virals may have?
antivirals are considered pretty safe, even in long-term. There are however side effects, as with every drug. The most concerning one is the effect on liver, so some doctors will test patients regularly who stay on antivirals for years.
You can find others listen on the medication label, but some people complain of hair loss, depression, headache, and such.
How effective is lysine without the other supplements on herpes transmission ?
Lysine is something herpes doesn't like. Many people say it helps them with their outbreaks, but you need to know it's no 100% guarantee. Actually, nothing is. Even with antivirals, you can still get outbreaks. But, more you do/stronger your immune is, less chances there are you will be shedding and not know.
How often did you get outbreaks your first year of being diagnosed with HSV 2? So far I had 3 outbreaks in a year. Would it decrease the longer I have it? I had an outbreak that lasted a little over a month and I can’t take this pain. 😢

So should I disclose this with my ex wife who gave me herpes? Before we had our second child, that’s when she decided to disclose this information to me. She told me it was a year before me and her met us when she got it from someone else. Should I bring this up to her? Right now she’s wanting a divorce. When she disclosed this to me she sat there and cried over my shoulder. But we did not have a serious talk about it.

Hi, I was told by doctors that there is no test, blood test or anything, can that confirm if you have it or not until you flare up and they can swab a blister. For blood tests, there may be a DNA marker left behind that shows if your immunute system has fought it but there are no tests that confirm if you have it or not.
I noticed a video of your husband on the channel and you mentioned that he gets tested twice a year. I find this misleading your audience. Your husband may have it and no flare up. No tests will confirm if he has it.
Can you please clarify for your viewers? Many if your videos are very misleading with this thinking that a partner can simply get tested for peace of mind. The truth is that your husband may have it and fall into the 90% of asymptomatic people. It's a risk and choice we make.

Many times doctors test via blood test to see if the person has herpes, but is asymptomatic. Since most people are asymptomatic, but can still shed and transmit it to their partners, this is sensible. Even a quick google search on CDC confirms that.
Sometimes doctors are reluctant to test for herpes since a test taken too soon can end up in a false-negative result. It is also said that 'knowing you have herpes' can be worse because of the stigma, and there are no proof that 'knowing' would end up in different behaviors in individuals infected.
Antibodies can take up to 6 months to develop, so in a long-run, if you get infected, it would show positive at one point.
However, different doctors have different opinions, and some don't want to test for herpes, unless there are indicators that the person is at risk, or was knowingly exposed. For many doctors herpes is no more than a nuisance and a patient knowing can just cause discomfort, but nothing that would really be significant for them, in terms of health.
