Thanks for rental video options. The first one was nice and far enough away from the main road. I'll sure be contacting you when I visit Kalibo. Thanks Ginno!
Good job !!! You made me considered Kalibo, one of a retirement destination,. Nice/ cheap apartments, STI that accepts GI bill, newly built hospital; affordable COL, close to Boracay, nice beaches and closed to Roxas City or Iloilo. I hoped that Kalibo have a nice private school. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Gino this is Pocholo Flores from Colorado Springs Colorado! Me and my wife are enjoying your vlog very informative and we are recently retired I’m 53 and my wife is 52 the reason why you’re vlog is interesting because as you know we have our own Air Force Academy here in Springs I just started watching you last month and we can’t wait to see more of you and Dazel and Leanna ok all the best!!!
We had a couple from Colorado Springs that visited us and we had lunch with them at New Washington Aklan last February. They are planning on moving to Iloilo City. I used to go on temporary duty at the Air Force Academy when I was still active duty Air Force. Glad you and your wife are enjoying our videos. Thank you for supporting our channel. Take care my friend.
It’s certainly affordable for size and quality, in my country Honduras, this size and quality, goes around $350 a month, utilities not included, soo, we are talking about, $500 included electric, cable internet, in a good area as the one showing here, they are cheaper places, but who would want to downgrade their standards of living for the sake of saving couple of dollars?? You are retired already, you have your minimum standards, soo, your later life as good as you can afford to do so, regards from my hometown, La Ceiba Honduras!!
Magandang umaga po. That’s a really nice accommodating apartment. Great rooms and area for the bargain price. I like it. Wish I can live in the Philippines on the future. You will have more Fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Fo’Sho 😊😅😮
Hi Gino, I always look forward to watching your new videos of Kalibo and area. You pack a lot of good info in them. I thought about what you said re: no apartment address, just landmarks. So I guess the PH driver's license doesn't contain an address? Here in Canada, we use ours as ID since it contains picture and address. I was in Kalibo 15 yrs ago and I'm looking forward to being there again soon.
Correct my friend! My drivers license just states “Capitol Site Kalibo Aklan” as its address; because I lived in that apartment when I got my license. I have to renew my drivers license in August; so I can update my address to Camella Aklan in Numancia. Let us know when you come to Kalibo. Be happy to have coffee with you. Take care my friend.
Hello Kuya What all types of public transportation does kalibo have? I see you mentioned tricycles How about jeepneys? And air con vans ? And buses like DBLT or etc ?
The public transportation available in Kalibo are tricycles, jeepneys, air-conditioned and non-air conditioned vans and buses. Bus company usually is Ceres.
Did you by chance talk to anyone at the New Yellow Apts. across the street about their size & rental terms & prices ? can you do a video on those in the future plz Kuya
I wish you will feature Boracay apartments again ( you did it last year ) We’ll be in Boracay June 17-20, 2024 lunch on us for the three of you with chocolates pasalubong for Dazel and Liane ❤️🇨🇦
Wow! Thank you our friend. I will see if an apartment in Boracay will allow me to film. Many don’t want their units filmed. Let me know what budget you are looking to spend monthly on a rental. Rent in Boracay start at $250 and end upwards of $1,000 a month. Here’s my email: ginno1966@yahoo.com Let me know the specifics of what you are looking for; so I can check around for you. Take care my friend.
The first apartment was very nice. Does the Kalibo area get a lot of brownouts? That is something that you see many TH-camrs talk about in some of the major cities.
Anywhere you live in Aklan province; on average you will get one day of scheduled power outage a month. Unscheduled power outages are hard to predict or hard to estimate how often. We can go a few months without any unscheduled power outage; then get a couple in one month. We bought a Bluetti power station; about the size of a car battery and rechargeable fans. So; power outages are not a big deal for us.
@@dazeltv1351 That does not seem too bad, probably fewer expats taxing the grid with their air cons... LOL. Was the Bluetti expensive to get their in the Philippines? they are handy to have.
I don’t think there is an apartment in Kalibo for 30k pesos a month. No condominiums yet in Kalibo; but would not surprise me if they start building condominiums. So far; it’s new hotels I’m seeing being built in Kalibo (8-story high hotels). No hotels like that in Kalibo when I moved to Kalibo 12 years ago.
Yes; they have a one bedroom but currently rented. Price is negotiable depending on your length of stay. Probably can get it for 10k pesos a month if they have one available.
