Thank you my friend. You can easily walk around everywhere in the town of Kalibo. Very safe to walk around day or night. It’s a college town; many students walk around at night after their classes.
I just notice a lot of road construction projects in Kalibo. New cemented road by the Kalibo esplanade at Lambingan Beach and the new cemented diversion road from Kalibo to New Washington, Aklan. Kalibo is on the rise my friend. New Grand Gaisano opening this month. Rumor is; we will now have KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) in mainland Aklan. 😁
Hi guys, no need to mention how much I love your travel videos. Not a town, not a city but a municipality, making it the perfect size for a quiet retirement, and when you throw in the BIKE STOP, I'm sold. Take care my brother and we love you all.
Kalibo and Aklan province is a nice retirement destination. It has grown in my 13 years here; but has maintained its provincial lifestyle. People are very laid back. Take care our friends. Love you both.
@@lucylyn4253 The mayor of Kalibo has a campaign; Bagong Kalibo (New Kalibo). You can really see major improvements in Kalibo. Current renovations at Pastrana Park, Capitol area, indoor basketball court at Pastrana Park, and the ABL Sports complex. Renovations will also begin soon at the Kalibo Public Market.
Yes; I’ve been around Kalibo now for 12 years since Dazel and I’s college days. I am totally amazed of the development I’ve seen in Kalibo, Aklan. From a sleep town to a booming town now. New malls, new hotels, new groceries, new buildings, new food parks, and a new 8-storey medical center.
It’s your fault, Ginno and Dazel, I got hooked on this channel. It felt like I was there riding with you on your bumble bee and I got to see places in Kalibo.
Thank you my brother! You just have to be very defensive when you ride a scooter. Very easy to get around Kalibo; lots of public transportation (tricycles and jeepneys). It is very safe in Kalibo; very low crime rate and mostly petty crime.
I would like to see more about bumblebee. I've had 6 or 7 motorcycles since I was a teenager, but I would feel more comfortable in the rain on three wheeled machine. I will need a place for fishing poles, tackle box, and a cooler.
Here is a video I made on Bumblebee: th-cam.com/video/tuKpC4RA9LM/w-d-xo.html I never rode a motorbike in my life before Bumblebee. I didn't feel safe riding here without the sidecar; immediately had the sidecar built. You can design your sidecar anyway you want; they will custom built one for you per your specifications. I actually sat on a chair and they measured me sitting down; in order to make sure I didn't hit my head if I was riding the sidecar. Also, I made the shade on the motorbike higher. I don't have to bend my neck like other tricycle drivers I see here. Very comfortable tricycle for short distance travel.
@@judahbenj5246 Bumblebee is registered as a tricycle. I had to get a notarized statement from the builder of the tricycle. Included the notarized statement in registering our tricycle.
Love this video and others on Kalibo. We are 99% sure we are moving there from San Joaquin. I hate being up in the mountains and my wife is from Aklan. Hoping we can find a good rental house for us and our two girls.
Thank you my friend. My email: ginno1966@yahoo.com. WhatsApp: 63-9499647495. Let me know how many bedrooms, bathrooms, furnished or unfurnished, and your monthly budget your rent. I’ll see what is currently available in Kalibo for you.

Nice drive around I like seeing all the sites, Would it be posable to show a map in one corner of the vlog? To see where you drove around it would be helpful or wile you are driving.
Thank you my friend. I’ll see if I can figure out how to add a map in one corner of the vlog. I don’t think I can do it on the free app that I’m using. But; I’ll research if I can.
That would be a video for Dazel to make; she is the ukay-ukay expert. 😁 I will let her know. The tshirts she buys me at the ukay are usually around $1 to $2 each. The board shorts that I like cost about $3-$4 each at ukay. That’s all I really wear here in the Philippines. 😁

My fellow U.S. Air Force retiree friend in Manila who was attending college using the GI Bill; told me about going back to school and encouraged me to use my GI Bill. My education benefit (GI Bill) was about to expire if I didn’t use it. Once it expired; it is a benefit lost. The GI Bill paid for all my tuition costs for 4 years. I also received $1,500 a month for housing allowance while in school (9 months each year for 4 years); a lot of money in Kalibo Aklan since my rent for my apartment in Kalibo was only $125 a month. And $1,000 a year in book stipend. Kalibo is only 1 1/2 hours away from Boracay. I could attend school during the week; and still enjoy Boracay on the weekends and I had three months of summer off. I’m glad I went back to school; one of the best decisions of my life. Not only did I earn a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology; I also met my beautiful wife, Dazel.
