Thanks to everyone who enquired about my well being, there is no need for concern, we are all well, my shed isn't fit for purpose just now, I'm giving the layout a good clean, and bush up, and should be back to my weekly videos in the new year, until then you all have my very best wishes and season's greetings.
The title speaks for itself, Lima's Class 73 Ltd Ed from 1992. in Pullman Colours I hope you all enjoy.

Hi Mark,
I hope this note finds you and your family doing well. I guess it's pretty cold in Scotland since it's been a while since you've made a video. I did a shout out for you in my last video and put some footage on there that I did especially for you while I was on vacation in Arkansas. If you get a chance come have a look! I enjoyed seeing this train. I love the passenger trains! I used to ride them when I was a little girl and have fond memories of eating toast with apple jelly and drinking tea in the dining car. As a matter of fact, my honeymoon was spent in the Chattanooga Choo Choo rail car! It's a retired train that was converted into "hotel" rooms. We had the whole car to ourselves and it was very posh.
Like I said, I hope you are well. I am doing fine. I had Covid in December. Lost all sense of taste and smell. It's coming back, but still not 100%. I was better in time for Christmas so that was good. Stay safe, Happy New Year, and best regards, Holly
Thank you Holly. I'm trying to clean down my layout, until I have everything back in place I wont be making video's, we have -5 at the mo, but I'm sure once I get cracking it wont take me long to put all the little houses back in their place, it was so cold in the shed there was ice on the inside, and my little heater has been working overtime. I hope all is well with you , here's a wee Scottish greeting for you. Lang mae ya lum reek. which roughly means I hope you have all you need for the coming year, cheers for now,
from your nutty friend in darkest Scotland
I've missed your videos Mark, good to know your still "at it". Keep ell and have as happy a Christmas as you can.
Thank you Geoff
Greetings from NZ, Mark, I trust all is well as can be. What a wonderful runner, your new Lima Class 73, 'The Royal Alex', which I guess is the predecessor to the Hornby one. You've done a brilliant job in quietening its internal workings down, which I'm guessing comes down to the really good lube but also its de-spirring? Anyway, a wonderful running sessions with the Tri-ang Pullmans, loco and coaches team up well together. Thanks for the video Mark. All the very best. Kind regards, Greg. PS - It's great to see you back on :-)
Thanks Greg, all is well, just a bit to cold to do anything in the shed, I'll be back more often as soon as the temperatures improve, cheers Mark
Hi Mark, I think if you get that class70 any slower it would stop, great slow speed on loco. Good all rounder locomotive. :) Tom
Cheers Tom, soon be Dumplin' time.
Can't wait just finished a wee bit Xmas Cake lol.
YOUR BACK ! Glad to see you`ve battled your way through to the computer at last . That `73` certainly runs sweetly enough . Is that another of your re-cons ? I have two of them sitting on the cripple siding waiting for my attention . I bought them as runners , but they just lurched forward an inch and then "called it a day" ; so they are on the "things to do" list . Maybe I`ll short circuit the system , ------- and send them to you . All the best . Regards , Pat .
Hello Pat. no probs mate, if you want me service your Lima's I'd be happy to do that for you. All of my lima's get the same treatment, Clean everything, a gentle rub on the the gears to take off any burrs, then a little Vaseline to lubricate. cheers for now, Mark
