1;22 it's that authentic diesel sound again , either that or too many Wills Capstans , that will make you throaty ! your buildings and structures are really good . Wales UK.

it's a great sign isn't it, I bought a box on junk years ago It's O gauge but it looks good as a roof sign, as you know many buildings in the past had roof signs. cheers Mark

What I forgot to say was... when I removed the body I found that the face plate on the motor had been assembled upside down, therefore the collector strip was also the wrong way round which reversed the polarity of the motor, apart from that I gave it a complete strip down and clean, cheers everybody

Hello Mark, what a difference! It just goes to show that the original Lima mechanisms are perfectly acceptable, given the appropriate T.L.C, they work fine, I've always liked the Class 73, it's a nice maid of all work, a bit like the Jinty tank, anyway, stay safe, all the best, Stephen.

Yep the old Lima models can run well, I find they are good on DCC as well and are easier to convert than some of the Hornby equivalent motors.

they can on the whole all me made to run well, I have many Lima's all of which run better now than when I got them, a little TLC goes a long way. cheers Mark
