I usually only use my Quest 3 for Table Tennis so this will definitely add another use for my Quest. This looks like a blast.
Yeah if you like table tennis, you'll definitely enjoy this. Also, Eleven Table Tennis is fantastic...
Oh you should try flying a jet in VTOL vr, or racing a car on a full grid of real people. It does more than you think.
Racket Club is amazing and never would have given it a chance if not for the free trial.
The physics in golf +, walkabout mini golf and eleven table tennis are mind blowingly amazing! I also hook up my vr headsets to my pc and the driving / racing sims are also completely mind blowing. I never get bored or driving a Cadillac around Daytona at night time! I love VR!
Yeah it's honestly wild how good it is. Thats been next on my VR checklist - I havent done any racing stuff, and really interested in potentially doing it. Also curious to try out something like Microsoft Flight Simulator.
@@breakingeighty better have a pretty decent computer! I would say a 3070/ti min and a nice Ryzen 5800 or above or 12-14th gen Intel chip. Also do it wirelessly. This is truly a game changer via Air Link or Virtual Desktop(the better more consistent way)
The weight of the club can be replicated almost exactly with the right accessory. Checkout Deadeye's Drivr. They have removable weights in it to get the exact weight of your clubs. Now you're basically at the driving range

Yup just got the Drivr Elite and it's incredible. I would definitely stick with the graphite shaft. I've read reports that the new steel shaft version is just too heavy
Just wanted to say that - there are also adjustable weights on it to make it to your taste - feels like metal or graphite shaft difference

Great video! I have3 been a Quest owner since the Quest1 days and a Golf+ user since it's release. You conveyed the fun of the simulation perfectly! One thing I would add though, you mentioned the weight difference, but you didn't say anything about the controller adaptors like Helloreal and Yezro that have weights that make the controller feel the weight of your clubs. This adds a whole new dimension to the immersion. I also like when you said if you have a slice IRL you will prob. have one in the game. This is true and a testament to how well this game simulates real golf.
It was good enough for me to purchase a golf club stick for my controller which is a game changer

Walkabout Mini Golf is great in VR.. I would prefer to play that over real mini-golf any day.
VR is absolutely crazy and it hold massive potentials that have yet to show
I like to use the Yezro Y13S swing stick for Golf+, with extra weights for the Yezro Y11 (which are compatible with the Y13S).
I also run the iPad version of the Skytrak+ range software in my Apple Vision Pro, and hit Sci-Core practice balls (they fly just like Callaway Supersoft Max balls for the short distance the Skytrak+ reuires to extrapolate flight characteristics) into a net in my semi-enclosed carport. This allows me to hit outdoors using a giant virtual screen for the golf sim, without the need for a physical projector and impact screen.
Before I got the Apple Vision Pro, I sideloaded the Android version of the Skytrak+ software into the Quest 3. I can also stream the Windows version of Skytrak+, or GSPro, or E6 to either the Apple Vision Pro or the Quest 3 using Moonlight/Sunshine, or Steam Link, or Virtual Desktop (this latter is currently only available for Quest 3, and is coming for AVP later).
Adding weights to the swing stick you use with Golf+ eliminates the problem of your actual golf swing altering due to the lighter weight of the swing stick.
The Quest 3, the Yezro stick and weights, and the Sci-Core practice balls are available on Amazon, along with a wide variety of practice nets, mats, etc. Open-box Apple Vision Pros can be obtained for a substantial discount from reputable resellers on eBay; I recommend the DIDMETA or Globular Cluster 3rd-party headstraps for use with the Apple Vision Pro, and they're available from Amazon or eBay, too.
OMG, this comment is insane haha. There are so many ideas in here I'd never even thought of doing. Super cool, and may explore some of these myself. I do have an updated Skytrak+ video coming out soon that I think you'll appreciate ha.
I have the Yezro grip too. I had to buy the weights after realizing my feel was totally off when I went to the real-life driving range at the beginning of this year's golf season.
@@breakingeighty - I also run the iPad version of E6 Connect in the Apple Vision Pro to use with the Phigolf 2 Bluetooth swing stick. The Android version of the Phigolf software can be sideloaded on the Quest 3, but I prefer the E6 range & courses.
@@freddywayne - I really like the Yezro stick with the weights. And it’s considerably shorter than the Deadeye, which makes it usable in more indoor spaces.
I still play Tiger Woods golf on the original Wii with a Wii remote+. Couldn't be happier. I heard there is a VR branch of Dolphin. Might be worth checking out 🙄

Thanks for the code - i just got a quest 3 a couple months ago and have been interested in golf+ but 30 is steep if it wasn't good. 15 (accompanied with a solid review) is infinitely more of an instant purchase.

I play a lot of Golf+ as well. I use the DeadEye VR swing stick. You can weight it and it has a decent length. It feels about as heavy as my 7 iron. The only issue I find in relation to real golf is that you don't really know when you hit it fat or thin, at least I don't think it does. The unfortunate thing is the VR swing stick doesn't fit the Quest 2 controller.

You can 3d print one of many adaptors and buy a 2$ club from used sports store. Cut shaft for a great VR club.
There's also an entire Golf+ Discord server run by the creators of the game.
I've been really impressed with how well the company has been supporting the game. From updates, to new courses, to the whole Tour+ league - it's etremely well done. Especially for a VR game, as many don't seem to have the resources to support so heavily.
Does it have a swing coach? I barely know how to hold the club! 😂

Thank you for the discount code, much appreciated. We are in Canberra (ACT) Australia and its winter here so great to keep my swing working and love the physics and of course the courses. Looking forward to more great tips from the channel. I hope golf+ adds a Australian Course and we could have a world Gold+ Challenge cup.
You can go into options on golf+ and crank up the resolution much higher if your on a 3, i wonder if he did that

I absolutely love 💕Golf+ on my Meta Quest 3 !!! I use the Yezro grip (90 degree adapter) Y11/Y13S and I have the best headstrap, BOBOVR S3 Pro.
I absolutely love golf + now that meta is phasing out quest 2 maybe the designers of this game will be able to amp up the graphics a little bit in the quest 3.
That's not how they phase out something. They just don't make new games that support the quest 2. They don't ramp up old games so the quest 2 doesn't work anymore.

- Meta is phasing out the Quest 2, and since the game is so popular maybe (and hopefully) the developers can optimize it for the Quest 3.

Yes! Totally agree, totally different style of game, but also very fun.
if it was released on Steam for PC the the graphics would be massively improved, but its a quest only platform...which makes me sad.
I'm gonna try to play Tiger Woods on the Nintendo Wii through Dolphin emulator in Hi def and VR...when I get around to it. I remember it was just the best golf game I ever experienced with a Wii remote+ back in the day. I'll see how it goes.

yeah after having a bad round i tried playing and i had the same problem with pushing it and slicing haha, driver can cause some crazy ways of attacking the golf ball haha

Good grief, all the videos have become annoying between selling stuff and ads! And I'm just simply wanting to know if 128k can handle Table Tennis, Golf, and a few other games or do I need the 512K version? Can anybody in the World answer that one simple question?
Yep, you'll be totally fine with 128 for those. I have a 128, and have all those, plus asgards wrath which is huge for a VR game, and still have plenty of space.

Hey nice video for the VR newbies and also VeteRans (Pun intended). You summarized perfectly the current status of the vr market, and explained very nicely the game, which personally motivated me to buy this game. I love Walkabout Minigolf and also love golf videogames since the early days of PlayStation 1 (also tried Mario Golf and other gameboy and NES games), although I have never played real golf in my life.
My question is: do you know how much time is the discount code gonna be available? I'm waiting for Meta credit to appear on my wallet, and then use it to buy the game at even a lower price. Do you happen to have that information?

if one of the main flaws is the weight of the 'club' compared with real clubs you can fit a simple 'faucet hose weight' to it
I don't have a treadmill, but I can walk around in my boundary, and I can teleport from tee to the pin. The thing is you still have to press the trigger to address the ball, so even teleporting to the ball you will still have to press the trigger and it will line you up itself. So, waling the fairway will not gain you anything at the moment. When treadmills get to be more mainstream, I bet Golf+ or another golf game will enable that feature. It's great at the moment though, that if you have a large play area, you can walk around your ball and read the green. I find this helps me to understand better how the green breaks from a different POV.
Daily and weekly tournaments with rankings are a dream. Would be nice if they had prizes on offer as well like coffee mugs and t shirts

Hi great video,is there a facility to walk the fairways on a treadmill rather than teleport?
I guess if it doesnt you could walk 5 minutes on the treadmill between shots. 🤷🏻
