I play Golf+ every single day. I have hit over 10k shots in game. It's fuckin' awesome, and a great way to cut your teeth learning the game before you take it out on to the fairways. It also keeps me in great shape for when I get out and play with the boys. Super glad I've found it, and it's become something I look forward to every day, playing my ranked rounds.
Wow. Reading the comments. Its a vr head set ..it stimulates golf ..does that in bucket loads .helps keep my short game in tack in winter .. not meant to compete against 1000s pound golf aids ..i love it. Great review going get a dead eye stick yes i no its not a real golf club. But it still do what it says on the tin cheers im a 8 hc love golf +
I will run fun junior events through the Quest and Golf+. The kids love it and I use it as a way to talk course management and shot planning. The tech will only get better.
That's it! I am a 10 handicap and this thing helped me straighten out my drives. For me it translates to the grass. Putting is the best part btw. Headset and club. Only GOLF+ at this point. Wouldn't b other with anything else.
I’m curious if you could use one of these to display launch monitor results in front of you with blended reality. That would eliminate the need for an expensive screen and projector setup and allow you to hit into a regular net with your real clubs while still getting the simulator experience.
I had the Android version of the Skytrak+ range software sideloaded in my Quest 3. Now I run the iPad version in my Apple Vision Pro. You could also run it on a gaming PC & use Moonlight or Steam Link to stream it to either headset. I hit Sci-Core practice balls that read like Callaway Supersoft Max balls. No projector, no screen. Just a hitting mat & a net. I hit outside in a semi-open carport, rain or shine.
My preferred headstrap is the Kiwi Designs Comfort Battery Headstrap. It isn't terribly expensive and makes a world of difference for comfort. You can get it without the battery for a bit less money, but the battery will extend the time between charges by about double and, to me at least, makes the headset feel more balanced with the battery pack on the back.
Meta quest 3S is and Quest 2 with Quest 3 chips in it, lens are not as good and screens are less sharp. but you can play all the games the quest 3 plays
Great video, man. Watching and resarching all I can for cyber Monday sales. I already have psvr 2 but there are some things it can't do and won't ever do that I'm missing out on so I guess I'm gonna get another headset. Can't wait to play this golf game.
I'm a long time user (since 2018) and I'm trying to get my 6 siblings into VR. My younger sister's birthday is coming up in Dec & I'm getting her a 3S. Liv loves playing golf so I'm going to direct her to your video. Thanks 👍
I bought my quest3 just for golf, it’s fantastic as I cant play where I live - the only motion sickness issue I have found is if you accidentally click while the ball is in flight, your vantage point is way up in the air & it can give you a bit of a shock
Almost any VR game where your actual movements are the same as what’s happening in the game has little motion sickness risk. That typically comes from games where you’re seeing movement on the screen that your body isn’t feeling, such as driving/flying games.
@@Hardcorepunk87 you can still miss hit, but it is from club path and face angle, being unable to fat it or thin it is just a limitation of current technology. not the best for a training aid but is a lot of fun to still be able to work shot shapes.
you’re using the attachment upside down and hurting you’re tracking in one of those clips. use the left controller and the face sensors are more exposed.
You can’t tell the difference? Mate 😂 the lenses are night and day different and even someone who’s never used VR before would tell the difference. You should be using Game Optimiser when playing this game because it improves the experience a lot.
It’s definitely not nearly as accurate as hitting a real golf ball on a simulator/launch monitor. You can though adjust your settings a bit in the game to make your distances more accurate to how far you hit it in real life.
Ruins irl don’t mess around with it. You can flick your wrist and hit it 300. You have to half swing for it to pick up accurately. The club swing weighted sticks still do not feel like a real club . Caution ⚠️
impossible to screw up your real swing permanently lmao, not like you can do irreversible damage by playing in vr. It only takes hitting a few balls at the range to get used to normal club weights again
@@mute9oce very possible, just the fact that you can’t take a divot is the reason. It screws up your low point which is probably the most important thing in golf.
@ I agree it’s just caution I’ve read-some guys story it took them 6 months to get back where they were. My case it was a day and over 100 Balls. Everyone is different recovering from the game
@maeu59 I agree it can mess with it a bit. There is visual feedback of where you hit on the ground. It just doesn’t change change ball flight like if you hit 6 inches behind or thin in real life. You can change where the ball is in your stance to change ball flight so I imagine angle of attack is part of the calculation for ball trajectory
There are different settings in the game (amateur, pro, etc) that make mishits more realistic but it certainly more forgiving than hitting a ball in real life.
Contact is always considered to be center of the club face. BUT you still need to have a decent swing (or at least a repeatable modified VR one) to play well a the pro settings b/c it takes swing path, speed, club face, approach angle, etc. into the shot. Anybody can play and get the ball in the air, but scores over 100 can still absolutely happen. I will say, that center contact makes playing or working on your swing feel a lot less frustrating at the very least!
@@CarrterGolf1 yep, can adjust speed assistance with each club individually. i.e. I use more assistance on driver so I'm not full swinging in my loungeroom, but have none on my 60° for better control close range.

What club attachment do you useM
Try and get a weighted grip. Takes the conditioning to a new level.
For when you want a fun and less serious golf experience with friends I fully recommend walkabout mini golf!
Walkabout is awesome and I still buy every course but Golf+ is just so much more fun!

Loving your Golf+ reviews and feedback. I’ve been here since your first one!
Do you need a screen to play or can you just use the headset and club?

they had a prototype for that
I think with a capture card, you can display any HDMI out device on the headset. IDK if that answers your question, but hopefully!
Hitting a real ball with a headset on would be tricky

@@bassmasta9117 - it’s no different than without a headset, because the pass-through works very well.
Great video!
Can confirm the game is accurate, I suck just as bad on the headset as I do in real life

I don’t get motion sickness playing this game. I love it.
Can you chunk the ball or blade it
no
@@purplejay187 That sucks!
Was going to ask this too. Don't know how much I trust it when you can't miss-hit.

I am currently not using the accessories, but I just feel that the distances is not correct when comparing VR to Simulator to real life
