Hook, line and sinker!!! Immersive is definitely what these headsets offer. My daughter got this exact headset for Xmas and I was blown away with it! Haven’t played a golf game on it yet but now it looks like I’ll be buying the golf stick 🤦🏻♂️ thanks Joe haha!! Keep up the great content mate 👍
Thanks mate I was honestly blown away! I have played St Andrews multiple times now as it's my ultimate bucket list course... I just stood on the first tee and 18th green just looking around.. it is amazing
I just bought the other golf game for the Quest 2..I had my Quest 2 for over a year. Initially it blew me away but I shelved it Although the 3d and immersion are amazing I preferred flying my simulator on a monitor as with the headset on I can't practically use my hardware. But once I bought the golf game everything changed. VR and golf go together perfectly. That VR club you are using looks on long side compared to mine. Your one would be to long for my living room boundary. But it's amazing at how the hesdet tricks the brain into thinking your swinging a real club.
Great video. I agree it's such an incredible experience - VR golf is taking over my life! I have Golf + also, and would highly recommend Golf 5, a very underrated game that actually has even better graphics.
Another little tip, if you got a gaming computer you should experience how beautiful and lifelike this game can be. It's cross buy, you already own the pc version. You can play with wire or without wire via wifi, it's up to you 🙏 And thank you for mentioning the deadeye club ! I made our own golf clubs for VR some years ago because I had so many drivers I didn't use, but this one looks SO much better and I love the extra weight option 😁
Wow, unbelievable and what an incredible experience you shared with us! Now, when I’m on the travel road in our RV, I can still get my golf simulation fixed - talk about being spoiled lol😎 Happy trails, Michael
@@JLagGOLFLet's just hope that they don't take the "realism" too far... Yeah man...I've been playing GOLF+ for almost two years now... It was just called Top Golf in the beginning, because that's all it was before they added the on-course play. It's so much fun...especially playing with your friends online. I'm glad Deadeye added the weight to their new club attachment...the previous version was really light and it made my real clubs feel like they were 10lbs each lol.
It is so much fun... Lol honestly I've been having a blast. I don't know if you can tell in the video lol 🤣 it's definitely not real golf yet but in terms of fun it's off the charts!!
This was honestly too much fun lol I could definitely get addicted to VR.. in the future potentially this tech will be in a pair of glasses and they will replace our phones.
That looks very cool Joe ,any motion sickness with Vr . The neighbour is going to well pleased !! But doubt going to ditch your simulator just yet … Vr Good for low impact on joints ….
I play on a Meta Quest 3 and haven't noticed motion sickness because your player doesn't move / the camera doesn't move. It tends to happen in games where your brain thinks you are actually moving (walking, running, jumping) but you're not, so it gets confused. When playing Golf+ you're just standing there looking around like in normal golf.
The Sim is definitely not going anywhere! It's a different kind of experience. A lot more game like but honestly the most fun I've had in a while! I could see this being used for coaching. The club rotation and flop shots were great 👍 I did start to feel a bit off after about 2 hours! Had to have a little break
This is the first video i have seen of someone moving behind the ball to line up. It seemed like you couldn't do that, and I definitely do! Might give this a go...
Yeah moving around the room and reading the break is amazing 🤩. I can definitely see this being a coaching tool and showing people a proper pre shot routine and how to read a putt.. this technology is going to keep getting better and better!
Joe... Make sure you adjust all your clubs.. you can change the length, lie angle, power for each club to set them to your distances, and draw or slice bias... Once you go through and set everything it becomes very accurate. However, I will warn you bud, Make sure you are playing real golf on your sim in between playing that. I played VR golf exclusively for a couple months... My game was destroyed for a whole summer because of it. Have fun though
Thanks for the advice Brandon! Yes I have adjusted a few of the clubs and like you said it's soooo much more accurate now. I felt like I was having to bend too far over with my wedges before now they feel normal. I played 36 holes of St Andrews the other day... It's just amazing that is like my bucket list course of all time and I was stood on the first tee for 30 minutes just soaking it in! It honestly felt so real.. it's probably as close as I'm going to get 😂😂. I can now see why people are investing big time into VR! Also I wonder if I could get some AR glasses and play GS Pro with real clubs... That would be incredible.
The Tournaments are great. I've been playing Golf+ tourneys for the last 6+ months and Golf+ for over a year. It's easier than In Real Life (IRL). But still takes some knowledge and skill. Don't let the video discourage you from trying this. It's quite different when it's you wearing the goggles. I'm 67, playing golf for over 50 years. I play VR, Sim and Real Golf. Joe has helped me immensely with the Sim setup. @Joe hit me up if you have any questions.
Thanks mate! I'm in love haha I have played St Andrews multiple times now and am starting to get used to it. This is the most fun I've had playing golf lol I stood on St Andrews first tee box for about 30 minutes just looking around taking it all in!

I really enjoy Golf+ on Quest 2 and now Quest 3. What I would really like to see is to make use of the Quests' mixed reality capabilities to allow you to use real clubs and possibly practice foam or even real balls. They could accomplish this by using the mixed reality capabilities to show the golf mat. A program like GSpro, as it uses Unity, could have a VR mode as well. Of course golfers would need to take a few extra precautions but I think it is doable.
That would be absolutely incredible I know there was a video of a guy doing this will a pair of AR glasses. I'd love to know which ones so I could try it. But the quest 3 actually being in the world would be epic!!!! In the GS Pro world using your real clubs and ball.
The problem I have with this is you really can’t take full swings because the controller loses site with the headset, so the best is half swings, no matter what attachment y use it doesn’t feel real. The length of the club changes as you move so you can’t take a divot. When you play for awhile and then play real golf you spray it all over the course. I had it for only a week and a half and it screwed up my swing. This is good for people who don’t play real golf and wanna have fun with their friends. I really like the immersiveness , but it just doesn’t cut it.

@JLagGOLF in practise mode it does show you how your drive was, angle, if you pull to the sides etc. Not being a golfer I couldn't say if it would improve real golf. But it certainly helped me within the game.
Thanks for showing all the less successful shots too. Other videos (about deadeye drivr) show suspiciously straight shots, which made me suspect that vr golf would not be realistic.
Made me smile the comments about Apple investing so much in VR when technically they are more AR first/productivity, their games are awful and they are late to the game. Meanwhile Meta has invested billions to bring something reasonably priced to the masses. I can't recommend my Quest 3 with a Kiwi design battery head pack (get it direct you'll save a ton and delivery is excellent) that gives me over 3 hours play (I never wanted a Meta device as waiting for the Valve Deckard) enough.
The quest 3 looks fantastic.. yes fair point about apple being more AR than VR I understand that now and you definitely sound a lot more versed in this than me. I guess my point was AR / VR is going to be the future.. I can see a day where phones don't exist and you wake up and put a pair of glasses on and have all your information in front of you.. then if you want to get more immersive then you can switch to VR mode and game or do whatever you want. @JLagGOLF in practise mode it does show you how your drive was, angle, if you pull to the sides etc. Not being a golfer I couldn't say if it would improve real golf. But it certainly helped me within the game.
Doesn't look like there's a psvr equivalent. Bummer.
Sponsor video ?
I wish... No sponsors on this channel.
Thanks for showing all the less successful shots too. Other videos (about deadeye drivr) show suspiciously straight shots, which made me suspect that vr golf would not be realistic.
Thanks mate! Oh yes you can definitely hit it sideways just like real golf 🤣🤣
It's such an amazing experience being in the VR world it really makes you feel like you're in a different place.
@@JLagGOLF It's lovely to see your excitement about the possibilities, it reminds me of when VR was all shiny and new for me (except you use to waste an hour trying to get everything to work lol). If not already treat yourself to a Wifi 6/6e router in you man cave +steam link for some truly awesome times :P
You're consistently aiming wrong. You're not pulling, bro. Every shot from drives to puts you're aiming too far left.
I have played a fair bit since this and have definitely figured it out! Thanks 👍
😂😂😂😂😂
It was a lot of fun 🤣
@@JLagGOLF I tried it and sucked more in VR than in real life.
I just get sick to my stomach looking at this🤢.....that usually doesn't happen until I total up my round!🙃
HAHAHAHAHA 😂 Yes I will admit after about 2 hours I started to feel a bit off.
