@@paulsmith9106 Thank you so much for the comment and questions 🙂! I don't use CAD myself so can't comment from personal experience but I did have a look online and found this, which I hope is useful: www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/24212682218375897/ . Storage wise, it depends what you intend to use the headset for. In our case we predominantly use it for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, a game that plays from the PC (i.e. it doesn't install anything on the headset and therefore doesn't take any space) leaving enough space on the headset for the occasional game/app. However, if you do intend to install and use lots of apps on the headset then you might want to consider the 512Gb version.

Hey Alessandro, thank you so much for the comment and kind words it is very much appreciated 🙂. If you are looking for, or considering getting a VR (and/or Mixed reality) headset, then it's excellent!
I had the original HTC Vive. It was great (at least at the time) but after 20-30 minutes I felt awful. I was nauseous to the point of almost hurling, and I ended up with a migraine, having to spend the rest of the day laid down with my eyes closed. I don't know if that's because I was wearing glasses under there or had the settings wrong... But I haven't used it again or bought another set since then. Has anyone had a similar experience with older models that they don't find with newer headsets?
Hi Some Random, thanks for the comment and I'm sorry to read this. I empathise as I had a similar experience with the Meta Quest 2 one evening after an intensive gaming session... with the effects lasting a few hours. Is it because you wear glasses? Maybe, but I doubt it’s the sole reason. I don't know the HTC Vive but some users mentioned a similar experience using the Quest 2 where you need to look through the centre of the lenses to get it exactly focussed. The pancake lenses in the Quest 3 removes this problem as they have uniform edge to edge clarity, so you no longer need to look through the centre of the lenses - I breifly talk about this here 1:21. The purpose made lenses from VR Optician have helped my Dad a lot and I have added a link to their website in the description of the video above. Will both these things resolve the issue? Unfortunately, I don’t know but if you do descide to buy one I sincerely hope they do.
Hi Brad, thank you so much for the very kind words 🙂!! It is very much appreciated and I will share this with my Dad when I next speak with him. Thank you again 🙂👍
I own a Quest 3 already so my question is about the VR prescription, since you had some made for your dad. I am farsighted, meaning I can see only up close really up close, I don’t seem to have a problem using the headset without glasses but I wonder if I’m missing a clearer picture. Would I need to get prescription lenses for it? My current prescription is bifocal so my glasses allow me to see far, because that is what I need, and it has a reading prescription for up close so that I don’t have to take them off when reading or seeing something up close. I wonder if I would benefit from getting prescription lenses for VR or not??? Would I need a bifocal prescription or just the far sighted prescription? Your thoughts based on maybe what you got your dad? Thanks! I had a Question 2 and upgraded to the 3 best decision ever! And with content and games getting larger go for the bigger memory one-you won’t regret it.
Hi Max, thanks for the comment and question 🙂! I completely agree the Quest 3 is excellent and as you say with content increasing it makes sense to go for the larger storage option if you plan to play or use it for many different games/apps. Regarding your prescription question the best thing to do would be contact VR Optician directly using the form here: support.vroptician.com/contact from my experience their response times have been excellent so hopefully they can help answer your question(s) soon.

A pixel burned out on my Quest 3. I gave it back under warranty - more than a month has passed, the distributor has not yet given any answer or solved the problem. DO NOT BUY, in case of warranty you will sit for months without your device. So what should I do now, buy another one or wait another month? I fly in a DCS squad and my flight partners are no longer happy with me. What can I do - these are all meta cocks.
Hi Nauvofact, thanks for the comment and I'm sorry to read this. It will depend on where you are in the world but in the UK I think you should be able to contact the retailer (not the manufacturer, but where you bought it from for example Amazon) and request a repair or replacement (it shouldn't take too long).
