Rod bolts are torque to yield.means they are stretched when they are tightened.they should not be reused.

Good vid, great idea taking off the cap to see the part number of the rod but you’ll need to replace those bolts as they’re single use. You can still buy them new from Ford.
BTRs go hard as built, just need a good trans cooler and a decent shift kit

I had pump gears explode on me in my old ute... wasn't too fun, good choice on the billets. Another plus of BTR is it's less expensive to repair if shit goes bad

Do the gasket and if one of the transmissions is manual go that route love it so far man!
Definitely don't have a specific order for the Barra rockers and yes they are called roller rockers. I definitely recommend getting upgraded backing plate and bolts for it when you do pump gears as well and checking the pump gear clearance inside the pump

Au trans and gear box hook straight up to Barra and bf motors
The lifters can go back in any way. Just soak them in oil the night before putting back in.
If you don’t put the cams and cam caps back in the way they were, they’ll pit and it’ll run like shit.
Happy to help where ever. I built my Barra (FG XR6 T Ute) engine last year with oversized rods and pistons.

LPG rods are different to Turbo rods. LPG rods have a press fit gudgeon pins, turbos have floating pins. So having said that, the rods are the same, but they’re used differently..

Sludge in an lpg engine is bad news! LPG engines put very little carbon into the oil; if you have sludge it would suggest it’s had very few servicing!
Im just saying but. I had a xr6 BA and the headgasket went after 290k, maintained it well but the headgasket went once it hit 290.
If you are doing some ‘while you’re there’ upgrades you should get a billet crank sprocket, timing chain kit (genuine, atomic or empire elite) and a brand new genuine ford tensioner.
Is Dominator supplying a billet backing plate and upgraded oil pressure relief spring for the pump?

Those are vct solenoids not sensors just letting you know. And factory oil pumps are sintered metal not cast

Zf is heaps quicker down low, heaps better for a daily as will keep revs down lower all the time due to more gears, zf will handle wayy more power than a btr will. Zf will cost ya more to run but is a way better gearbox overall bro

All barras that are lpg besides the later lpi engine have the big rods even some off the late au lpg motors have them
Ford didn't know that the rods couldn't handle boost in ba cause turbo straight 6 was a new thing for them so the the date in 2006 was when they upgraded the rods in turbo engines. Ford found out in au lpg motors that they bent rods so they upgraded them in late au six cylinder and continued on with the barra lpgs. Also all f6 barras have good rods

All gas barras have big rods
Definitely not the case. Ba and pre 06 bf has 1r23 rods
@@callumhennessy8617 wrong mate. The pre 06 BF rods only applies to turbo engines. All BA BF and FG barra gas engines have thick rods. Youll find proof in my ‘comparing barra green tops’ video.
@@EverythingFuzzY well id be happy to be proven wrong as it means more string motors haha. But I've torn several ba and early bf gas motors all with 1r rods. Maybe it was just crappy luck 🤷
@@callumhennessy8617 I’m yet to see one with skinny rods haha. I’m also removing these engines from factory LPG cars so I’m 100% positive that they’re green tops. Too many people on marketplace swapping rocker covers and selling them as turbo/lpg engines.
