As a licensed drone pilot I can appreciate the work that went into this video. We’ve been visiting annually for years now and you gave me some new ideas on restaurants and things to do. Have a great holiday season.
My brother and I moved to Marco back in 1978 and lived in the apartments across from the residents beach. Back then it was the public beach. It wasn’t built up nearly as much as today. Had some good times at the Snook Inn. I would still be there had we not smoked so much weed and been evicted, lol. Years later my wife and kids would go back for vacation and rent a condo at Tiger Tail (South Seas). It’s a beautiful place for sure.
I used to stay in the penthouse of the Sunset House right between Tigertail beach and Residents beach... Oh how i miss those summers with my parents and siblings.
My Poppy has a house down in Marco- we go every year. I swear I’m gonna move there, I’m just feeling a little homesick. All these places remind me of visiting my family!
My family would go down to Marco every spring break and rent a house. Place genuinely feels like a second home and I want to go back so bad. I LOVE Nacho Mamas Mexican restaurant down there. Some KILLER daquiris!
This video provides an insiders view of the best beaches, waterfront restaurants, and the most captivating boating destinations to name a few. These are precious secrets known only by locals and seasoned travelers alike.
Thanks for your comments. Glad you enjoyed it. Dolphins are everywhere, but these were shot right from the dock in Isles of Capri, just across the Marco river.
@@PaulBalzano Barefoot Beach Preserve and Lovers Key are my favorites. They're still pulling debris out of the Gulf from Ian. Ian was a 4 when it creeped up north to Fort Myers Beach. It was quite the ride
I am planning my 1st visit to Florida in May. I wish you would have included what beaches are good for Shelling. I understand it’s a very popular thing to do. I am excited about shelling sounds fun and relaxing. A lot of other good info in this video though.
The best place I’ve found for shelling is Keewaydin Island in Naples. It’s only accessible by boat though definitely worth the trip. Here’s a video with all the information you’ll need. Keewaydin Island in Naples Florida - Everything you need to know th-cam.com/video/3Y147zXOzT8/w-d-xo.html

The videos were shot at various times of the year (February and July). Having said that, I was on Marco during the July 4th week and there were plenty of activities on the beach near the Hilton Hotel including sailing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, banana boating, etc. Have a look at this video which I captured during that time a couple of weeks ago to see yourself. th-cam.com/users/shortsTXhtE2Qv8Ms?feature=share Thanks.
Thank you so much for the detailed reply Paul, will sure look at the link you shared. I wish there is a calendar and I can see when it’s the day all these activities happening again here at the beach

Marco one way in, one way out on Coller Blvd- Snook Inn was a fun place to visit when we lived there. The Publix on Marco island is rather dumpy for Marco.
We love Marco! Heading down again next Saturday. Do you happen to know how the south beach restoration project will affect use of the beach? We are staying in the area that is planned for restoration beginning next week. I'm wondering if they are starting at the south end and working north, or vice versa. Any idea?
Goodland is the start. Then some low rise condo complex then everglade City. You can ride an air boat, walk on a deck ramp over swamps, poke a gator, then eat a 50 dollar shrimp poboy sandwich. That's it besides Dodge swamp bugs.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your comments and sorry to hear your experience was not the best. My wife and I are on Marco today and still here. We stopped at the Sunset Grill for Mai Tais and a bite to eat, then came down onto South Beach. Spent the last 1.5 hours on our personal floats relaxing in the calm, clear and soothing gulf waters while basking in the sun. Not a mosquito in sight. While I realize this is not paradise for everyone, it sure is for us. Thanks again.
Richard, you must have visited Marco after we'd had a lot of rain and the mosquito control hadn't made their rounds recently. I've lived here 25 years and I've never had a mosquito problem on the island. Goodland, yes, years ago; and in Fiddler's Creek north of the island one particular week after many consecutive rainy days, years ago... but it's not a problem here often at all. Sorry you had that experience. As for boring.... 🤔 I guess you just didn't know where to find the action. 😆 We have something for everyone, all ages. If you ever come back, reach out to me and I'll give you some tips... 😎
Thanks for your opinion. Considering I own a home in the area, I speak from knowledge and experience. Also, I’m not encouraging people to fly over the area in a drone.
