On your recommendation, I went to Lee Be Fish Company in Old Marco just before heading to the airport....I really didn't want to leave. It was such a great nook that I would never had found on my own. Cheers,
Thank you for making our vacation amazing . We stayed at the JW but we like to venture out for breakfast and dinner. We live on the east coast of Florida and we’ve been enjoying Marco & the Marriott since 1986. We recently visited for our 40th wedding anniversary . We loved Doreen’s cup of Joe the staff is amazing at accommodating special dietary needs. We also love Red Rooster. The last time we were there it was owned by 2 older women and they made their own thick sliced bread❤. The newer owners are doing a fantastic job as well. We visited there for breakfast and just love the homey cozy atmosphere along with the marvelous food. We also tried to visit Osteria Cafe & la Tavola but unfortunately both were closed in August. We did go to Deep Lagoon & oyster house and had a delicious seafood meal. The wait staff is top notch. Thanks again for the great tips on dining . I thoroughly enjoy your posts. It’s my dream to move to Marco Island for retirement some day in the future…
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It sounds like you had an incredible time celebrating your 40th wedding anniversary on Marco Island. We’re glad you enjoyed Doreen’s Cup of Joe, Red Rooster, and the other spots you visited-they truly are gems! We’re thrilled our dining tips added to your wonderful vacation, and we’re rooting for your dream to retire on Marco Island to come true!
Sale E Pepe. If you sit on the outside it doesn’t have that stuffy have to be in a suit feel. The inside seems more reserved. It has a great feel to it. The service, view and food are fantastic
My favorite place on earth. Though probably because my grandmother had a house there for so long and got to enjoy it for so long. Our favorites were always Joeys Pizza, The Snook Inn, and Michelabobs. Though the Naples location of Michelbobs was always the full restaurant while the newer Marco spot has less options and only take out.
It is a wonderful place to work and live. We are grateful everyday that we are here. And yes we frequent those restaurants as well. The new and improved Snook Inn is something to admire. They did such a great job rebuilding after the hurricane wiped them out.
We have tried so many of these restaurants on your recommendation last year when we visited and you were spot on! If you are visiting Marco Island you definitely need this list! Great suggestions as always. 💕
We love Cocomos and might do another video on living on Marco Island. We are on our way down now and also looking forward to visiting the Snook Inn that recently reopened.
You said long bike ride? I will be there this spring. Is it a good place to ride? I would do a 30-to 60 mile day. Is there a way to ride that far safely? Any good bike shop i might rent a bike at?
The riding is great. There are bike lanes everywhere but you still need to be careful of traffic. I tend to ride very early in the day to avoid the cars.
The best hotel is the Marriott, but it is also the most expensive. Plenty of hotel choices on the beach such as the hilton. But another good choice is Airbnb. There are so many of those either inland or on the beach. If you like the beach that's a good choice because there are only 2-3 public areas to get access to beach unless you have a condo or hotel on the beach. Beautiful sunsets as well. Where do you live now?
Yes for breakfast at Doreen, Italian Deli - honestly, sad that they closed their small mom/pop shop, as an Italian I can confirm that Sale e Pepe is the only truly Italian restaurant on the island, sorry all others are 'Americanized Italian'.
Worst thing in the world is being at a beach town and having to sit to eat with stuffy pretentious people.....if you can not have a smile on your face and a relaxed manner then stay in your city.....my theory is that they are anxiety ridden because the dressed down and relaxed atmosphere is alien to them.....for business meetings i will wear a jacket and maybe a suit and tie....but not at the beach town......it's not the French Riviera......and that would be a nightmare too.....thanks for the info.

I’m so happy you enjoyed it. It’s in old Marco which is such Schraer little spot

I love how she looks at him at the 0.11 second mark to make sure his head has not fallen off from bobbing it back and forth so much!
Yup. That’s me. Bobble head. Lol

That is our favorite for special occasions.
Couldnt agree more with your list especially KJ and Osteria Capri.

The carreta Cuban restaurant in Miami and old Havana Cuban restaurant and if you have a fast Yacht stop in Hemingway Harbor Marina in Cuba for lobster
Well we could drive to Miami, but not sure about getting to Cuba by boat. It is on our list to go visit though. Thx
You should mention restaurants that keep your change .
If you’re not going to see Scott and Bonnie at Cocomos you’re really missing out.

@@RetirementTransformed I am in Wisconsin. Brrrrr… Cold in the winter. Thanks for tips!

Yes, I could use a little Sal e Pepe tonight. Have to wait until October.

We do love where we live due to the laid back nature
Arturo's Bistro
We just ate there last week and really enjoyed the food!
