Oh a 12-hour shift in the ER is definitely a good reason for some beach time! I hope you are able to make it down here at some point and put your toes in the sand. And maybe find a few shells while you're at it 🐚❤️
My jaw dropped most of this beach walk. O’my gosh those rose petals are huge and the flats, wow, just wow. Oh and then the cones, and top snails, and all the sand dollars. The scenery wasn’t bad either lol I’m surprised that sailboat is still there also. I think this was one of the best beach walks ever! Thanks for taking us along!
There were SO many great goodies on the beach. I got lucky when I chose this place to go beachcombing that day! Hopefully with winter coming the shells will start being around more!
I have a whole bunch of broken and chipped sand dollars that I am unsure what to do with. I'm kind of keeping them to the side thinking one day I'll maybe do something with the doves. Maybe one of these days. Thank you so much for watching!

HELLO!!! That jingle was the very first one I've ever seen with both sides attached. SO cool! There was such a great variety this day. I got really lucky and picked the right beach at the right time!
That was so fun to watch! You really hit a great morning on Tigertail and got an amazing shell haul for any time of the year! Love the crown conch and the flats. Thanks for taking us along each week.
I was thinking the same thing - so many goodies for this time of year! I hope that means it's going to be a good winter. I guess we shall find out! Thank you so much for coming along! 🐚
Some of the best looking Florida fighting conchs you discovered i think. Thrilled that you found those huge Shark eyes and also that Flat was just STUNNING.

Before looking at the shells though I asked the two ladies working there if the shells were ethically taken or(farmed). Was so disturbed when they both looked at me as if I were from Mars and said they had never heard of such a thing. Even the ones that were collected in Sanibel they say they didn't know. I left empty handed except for a hat that I needed. I'm happy that you are showing people a better way to collect and sell!
I was horrified to find out that some shells are "harvested" and I know others who have quit making beach decor items because the shells they were buying weren't ethically collected. There is a shell shop on Sanibel that I went into (probably the same one you visited) and my husband and I bought rings and nothing else since I had no idea where the shells came from. I really love watching your walks along the shores of west FLA. Today was amazing. The flats impressive, the fighting conchs, and so much more. Thank you for taking us along.
What a fantastic shelling trip! That first flat with the zig-zag coloring - awesome! So many great finds from the little orange scallop to the beautiful colors of the small and medium horse conchs and those FF conchs... man, they were really puttin' on a show with their fancy patterns and colors. At 5:10 you find the albino lightning whelk... I noticed it had what appeared to be some major repair work in the upper shell area... it made the shell look a little out of balance and the bottom of the spire looked chipped or something, but that might have just been the lighting/glare on it. It was very beautiful, but clearly that critter would have had a harrowing story to tell.
No you are right, that albino shell was missing some pieces in places. Can you imagine what it must look like alive? I would LOVE to find one of those! Maybe one of these days. There is so much to appreciate out on the beach!!! 🐚❤️
Wow what fabulous finds !! This was a great Island for finding awesome shells. I liked so many of them I can't decide which one was my favorite. I guess the Florida fighting conches, rose colored talons, the flats. Thank you for such a lovely video.
Someone recently asked me what my favorite shells is - I can't choose just one! There are too many beautiful shells with so many different things to love about them. 🐚❤️ Thank you so much for watching!
Hi my beach friend! What an amazing haul! It's been a while since you've found so many gorgeous shells. Your shell bag was loaded with goodies!😍 I can totally feel you at 20:40! Really wished I was walking with you at that packed beach full of shells and sand dollars. But thank you for taking me with you on your walk, so I am still able to see all the beachy goodness and enjoy all the stunning finds! That albino is amazing, but so is the flat. 😍 Think that is my favourite find this time. Wishing you a wonderful week, filled with lots of sunshine, warmth and gorgeous shells. Lots of love and a big hug, xoxo ❤, Ilona
It has been a while since I found so many goodies and boy was I a happy sheller! I'm always happy with what I find, but some days are just a bit more fun than others - this was one of those fun days ☺️ It really did seem unfair that I had that beautiful beach to myself with so many shells and sand dollars everywhere. I'm glad I could at least bring you along with me virtually! I hope you have a great week filled with sunshine too! ❤️❤️❤️
I don't think we'd be bored watching several minutes of sand dollars lol. 😉😁 PS yes! You nailed it when you said most awesome play ground ever! I'd bring home the whole beach lol!
I felt like a kid in a candy shop with so many treasures just laying all over the beach. It was awesome! I hope to have more days like this in the future! 🐚❤️

Great to see the addition of a wee bit of color, those colorful calico scallops and some little pink things. Too bad you didn't have more Florida Fighting Conch's, LOL.
This area is my favorite once I've found. Been coming down in January the past 5 yrs. Its my birthday present to myself. I feel this is where i belong.
Thank you so much for always telling us to be aware of the live critters! I really appreciate that! Love your channel and have learned so much from you!❤️
Love to go shelling with you virtually! Have to tell you, you’re my favorite! Thanks for filling a hole left by not being able to go to SWF as often as I’d like to! Been over a year and am homesick for the gulf. Blessings and keep those videos coming! 😃
Ooooh, I like that yellow Florida fighting conch. You just never know what color or patterns these shells will be. I think I would sit myself down in the pile of shells and just look through them all. Shell heaven there! Love all the shells you found, just awesome.🐚💙

I got to spend some time on the beaches in cape cod this weekend and saw my first ever live jingle too. Went home with a big bag of bay scallops and jingles. Thanks for the video!
I feel like it's super rare to see a whole jingle since I have only seen one at this point. That's so funny you saw one too! Hope you had as much fun on your beach as I did on mine 🐚❤️
That flat was gorgeous. Nice finds today. I did not see much Nakar though. I would love to have a bunch of Nakar to use in some craft projects. Thanks for taking us with you.
I absolutely love watching you hunting for shells!! You are informative, and so concise about the sea life. I also live in SWF but I sure don't find what you find! 😪 You are awesome, keep up the good work!
Aww - thank you so much! I feel like there is still so much more to experience and learn and I can't wait! Thank you for coming along with me on my beach walk!
Marco was so fun! It's not as relaxing getting to the beach as some places (it's a very built up area) but the beaches are awesome! Thank you so much for coming along with me!
I'll go ahead and apologize for the early ones since they're not great, but I'm learning as I go and sharing everything I'm discovering along the way. Next week is going to be fun too - we're headed back to Kice Island and we're going to see tons of beautiful goodies!
@@SWFBeachLife I can't wait. And I live 5 mins from the beach. Not much shells. More seaweed. I have seen seashells hung in the trees though. We call them prayer or message trees. And you are right...they are beautiful. Here in Nova Scotia we don't get long shelling seasons. We get too hot and too cold (frozen). And I've never seen a sand dollar with holes in it. Cool.
I wish I lived closer and I could come and visit all these beautiful beaches to collect Some shells! It is also one of my favourite hobbies ! Our beaches do not have many shells! Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Hello South Africa! I am so very fortunate to live where I do. I've been inspired by the beauty that surrounds me! I'm glad I can share the beaches, creatures and beauty of Florida USA with you! Thank you very much for coming along on my walk!
Some of the names of shells escape me....like apple murex. Why apple? So much fun and so relaxing watching and listening to you. Who would of thought I would know the names of ocean dwelling creatures here in the foothills of the Rockies.
There was another person who commented about learning the shell names and they too were landlocked. I don't know what it is about these things but I just want to know what their names are! Apple murex - why apple? That is a fantastic question and I am going to try to find out!
Is that a top snail at the bend of your thumb @ 12:09? Anyway, what a nice find today! I love that flat shell. I don't mind spending the whole day digging through those shell piles. Those Florida fighting conchs cleaned up exceptionally well!
I had to go back and check and yes that was absolutely a top shell I just dropped back in the water. Oh well. With all the other treasures I found I'm certainly not going to complain. Good eye!!! 🐚
The Atlantic cockle shells is pretty much the ONLY shells I’ve found when going to Flagler beach and Ormond beach Florida. I have a ton of the cockle shells but I so so so dream to have some of the shells you find. 🐚🤗
The gastropods are my favorites I think. The FFCs, olives, murex, moon snails - oh heck I just love them all! I grew up finding big ugly clam shells and that was it, so I'm over the moon at the goodies I now get to find. And so glad I can share!!
I was just thinking about what shoes you must wear when walking that much … and BAM you posted something about your shoes. Lol I thoroughly enjoyed your shelling video today. Thank you for sharing with us.
WOW, what a day you had!!! Those sand dollars were everywhere. I've only ever found pieces so I'm really jealous. LOL. Can't wait to get back down there in a few months.
This is my 1st. Video of yours om gosh I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! I will be watching so many more. I love the ocean and everything ocean. All those shells I would of been in heaven literally!! I live in Wisconsin and have never YET been to the ocean. Looking to vacation in Florida sometime soon. Maybe I will visit this beach 😉 Thank you so much for sharing your beach time. Also for letting people know not to remove shells if they're alive. Some people don't know that you shouldn't. I'm so excited to go watch your video's. Thanks again!
Welcome aboard! I go to a different beach every week and I'll tell you about the weather, the tides, the shells, the critters - whatever is going on that day. If you ever do decide to visit a beach, I hope you come down here. We have so many beautiful areas to explore! I hope you enjoy your time with the content on my channel 🤗
You can never have too many Florida fighting conchs! I have walked 9 miles lugging a very large bag full of those (most were broken and very old-I use them in sculptures), and I was sad I had to stop picking them up because my bag was full. They are one of my favorite shells. They have such a beautiful variety of patterns and colors. That last one was stunning!
Dana you're speaking my language! I love them too but oy they can be heavy! I was bummed to drag my heavy shell bag around but when I got home and cleaned them up, I was so happy I had grabbed them. So many beautiful patterns, shapes, sizes - I just love everything about them! 🐚
We are headed to Florida in February and I'm counting the days until we can go shelling again! We went shelling at 5am during low tide last February and I was hooked! I started watching your videos then and I've been watching them every week. A lot of the shells we found, I had no idea what they were until I watched your videos. We found some Florida fighting conxhs, banded tulips, spiny jewel boxes and a bunch of olives among other things! My son's favorite was the giant Atlantic Cockle because it was HUGE! Your shelling videos are the best!
Wow! You really found so many gorgeous shells at Tigertail Beach! A really fun video. Thank you for your videos. It’s almost as good as being there, but not quite. Hoping to get down to Florida maybe this winter.

What a fun day. Thanks for sharing every Sunday so I can get my beach 'fix'.
You are so very welcome. Thank you for coming along with me!
Hi my beach friend!
What an amazing haul! It's been a while since you've found so many gorgeous shells. Your shell bag was loaded with goodies!😍
I can totally feel you at 20:40!
That crown conch is beautiful. Holy cow so many sand dollars! Beautiful flat!
I picked the right day at the right beach! Thank you so much for watching!
Jackpot!!!
That king crown was beautiful. You had a lot of beautiful shells🐚. So much fun😊
Yes it was! I definitely picked the right beach to walk on this day! Thanks for coming along!! 🐚
Oh my goodness! That was one of my fave videos so far, even more since we’ll be in that exact place in two weeks, can’t wait!!!
Oh I hope you have fun planning and I hope you have even better luck than I did when you go! 🐚
Omg I’m so excited for you .. I feel gitty and it’s not even me finding them lol ❤happy for all your amazing treasures
Can’t get enough of your videos !
Thank you!
@@SWFBeachLife Even though I couldn't be there in person I also felt like a kid in a candy store...even better cuz shells have no calories😅. Ten thumbs up!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@kimberlyaustin6677 Shells have no calories - love it! 😅
Great to see the addition of a wee bit of color, those colorful calico scallops and some little pink things. Too bad you didn't have more Florida Fighting Conch's, LOL.
One can never have too many Florida fighting conchs ☺️
First she’ll was amazing. So beautiful.
I think that's the prettiest crown conch I've ever found! 🐚
I love 💞 the way you give us for Beach 🏖️ time Beautiful
This area is my favorite once I've found. Been coming down in January the past 5 yrs. Its my birthday present to myself. I feel this is where i belong.
That sounds like a great present to yourself! I hope you have a wonderful time when you're here in January!
Thank you so much for always telling us to be aware of the live critters! I really appreciate that! Love your channel and have learned so much from you!❤️
Thanks so much for coming along with me on my beach walks!
Love to go shelling with you virtually! Have to tell you, you’re my favorite! Thanks for filling a hole left by not being able to go to SWF as often as I’d like to! Been over a year and am homesick for the gulf. Blessings and keep those videos coming! 😃
I am so happy I can keep you connected to your happy place! Thank you for coming along with me! 🌴🌊🐚
This was an absolutely fabulous day shelling!!!!! Thank you for sharing! Give anything to be there shelling💕💕🧜♀️
It was so fun! But I picked up too many FFC too early. My shell bag was HEAVY but they were worth it 🐚❤️ Thank you for coming along with me!
Ooooh, I like that yellow Florida fighting conch. You just never know what color or patterns these shells will be. I think I would sit myself down in the pile of shells and just look through them all. Shell heaven there! Love all the shells you found, just awesome.🐚💙
Those Florida Fighting Conchs are just irresistible. So many colors and patterns to love about them. I managed to find quite a few other goodies too - it was such a fun morning on the beach. Thanks for coming with me Sally! 🐚❤️
Yes that nacre really does scream "make me into something" doesn't it? It's amazing what beautiful creations snails can make!!!
I absolutely love watching you hunting for shells!! You are informative, and so concise about the sea life. I also live in SWF but I sure don't find what you find! 😪
You are awesome, keep up the good work!
Aww - thank you so much! I feel like there is still so much more to experience and learn and I can't wait! Thank you for coming along with me on my beach walk!
Great video! Love lightening whelks!
What a great shelling day! Looks like the hubs and I will have to take a trip to Tigertail Beach sometime soon. That crown conch is exquisite!
I do recommend beachcombing Tigertail just be prepared to do lots of walking! And I hope you find lots of goodies when you go!
Sounds like you were having a blast!
I was!!!
What a spectacular shelling day!
It was so much fun! 🐚
Awesome as usual. You really do need one of those wheeled trolleys then you could bring even more home!! Marco looks a dream. Stay safe x
Marco was so fun! It's not as relaxing getting to the beach as some places (it's a very built up area) but the beaches are awesome! Thank you so much for coming along with me!
I have been binge watching all your videos and just finished them / now I'm all caught up and can't wait for new beachy goodness, love your channel
Cool.
Don't know how I missed this one! Always great to get my beach fix!!! Hugs from Virginia!
I haven't been to Tigertail in a while and I am itching to get back down there!
Fantastic beach day! 💙 🐚
WOW, I as there the same time. That would have been crazy to see you. It was a great day for shelling as usual.
Aww - sorry we missed each other! If you ever do see me please stop me. I hope you found as much great stuff as I did!
@@SWFBeachLife Yes, we found a lot of great shells. Always fun at Tiger Tail. 🙂
I love your videos, I am going to Jupiter beach in a few weeks and now I will know what the shells are called and what to collect, thank you for that!
You are so welcome! I shelled over at Hobe Sound and found a bunch of goodies! th-cam.com/video/L4OQoRxvpQs/w-d-xo.html
Love the flats you found!! Thank you for the beach walk! Four weeks today I will be there shelling!!!
I hope you have fun planning and find lots of goodies when you get here!
You mentioned in your video that you sell some of your shells, where do you sell them at?
@@chrystalthorson3442 If you'd like to purchase some shells, shoot me an email at swfbeachlife@gmail.com and I'll get you all the details.
What great finds! I love tiger tail beach.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for raising the issue of ethical harvesting. Great vid!
Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
Such a fun walk!! Thank you! 😎
Thanks for giving me my beach|shelling fix 😎🐚🌴🌊
You are so very welcome! 🐚
I was just thinking about what shoes you must wear when walking that much … and BAM you posted something about your shoes. Lol
I thoroughly enjoyed your shelling video today. Thank you for sharing with us.
Can you please think about me winning the lottery? 😅
Thank you so much for coming along with me. It was such a fun morning on the beach!
What a treat to watch! Thank you for bringing us along :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for coming along!
Wow, wish I was there!
WOW, what a day you had!!! Those sand dollars were everywhere. I've only ever found pieces so I'm really jealous. LOL. Can't wait to get back down there in a few months.
Well if you're looking for sand dollars - go to Marco Island! With any luck you'll find more than one. I always manage to find a few when I go.
Loved the video! Wish I was walking right next to you finding treasures!
If you ever do make it down here, at least you'll know what beaches you should visit while you're here! Tigertail is great - but be prepared for lots of walking!
Another fantastic video! I loved seeing all the cone shells
Thank you so much for coming along for the beach walk! 🐚
Loved your video🐚🐚 The kids and I are still on lockdown thanks to covid but I am loving watching you shell🐚🐚
Ugh - I'm so sorry you're on lockdown! I think a bunch of people found me during COVID when they wanted something different or were craving the outdoors. I'm glad I can at least get you to the beach virtually! I hope your lockdown ends soon!
Fantastic finds
Thank you for watching!
Use to do this every day back when Venice beaches were great
Beautiful shell’s !!!
That Flat is gorgeous!
Agreed! 🤗 Very happy with that find 🐚
